    Video description: Dassault Aviation is a French aerospace company with proven dual expertise as a manufacturer of both military aircraft and business jets. Creator of more than 100 prototypes in the last century, with over 10,000 aircraft delivered to 90 countries. Many Fighter aircraft produced by this company have proved combat effectiveness in history. This video presents the evolution of combat jets produced by Dassault.       Don't forget the Gripen and the Typhoon, delta wing fighters are great looking overall, beating the F35 in a design standpoint, I won't go into the others details, despite the fact they are multiroles fighters, they have a very different approach to it and they are all very capable. The saddest thing is that the US used to design much beautiful and efficient aircrafts, like the F16 and F5, but despite his qualities, the F35 is still an ugly flying potato.

      As a matter of fact it begins before ww2 as the Bloch airplanes were made by the same family but they changed their name.

    The Dassault Rafale M is my most favorite on the list. It's the French Navy ( Nationale Marine ) model that is Carrier based with shock absorbent landing gear, dual wheel nose landing gear with a carrier launch bar, and an arresting gear tail hook. This Aircraft is awesome indeed! Great video The Buzz!!

      the Rafale is a plane that is used by both the Air Force and the National Navy, version B and C (Air Force) and version M (Navy National) but ALL Rafales have butts of landings, all, the only difference is that only the M version can raise its landing stock by an electric motor, the others, the stock is raised manually! the landing gear is also reinforced on the M version to support landing on an aircraft carrier!

      Greeks are a natural and an old ally for France. The last version of the Mirage 2000 has been proven better than the so-called far superior F-16.... in fight. Some turkish pilots may confirm it ;)

    The Super-Etendard and the Exocet missile were both used by Argentina during the Falklands war (1982). The HMS Sheffield was severely damaged in this conflict.
    The Super-Etendard had also nuke capacity with the ASMP missile (Air Sol Moyenne Portée).

      The HMS Sheffield was sunk* The exocet missile also proved useful in the Iraq-Iran war, where Iraqi Mirage F1s were equipped with exocet missiles, with great effect.

      royal navy in a nutshell be like :
      -hey captain look at this BIG SLOW GLOWING RED missile that's coming for us ! should we ring the alarm and use our oerlikons against it ?
      - NAAAAAAAAH that's a french missile, it cant go that far, and we didn't even loaded the anti aircraft guns anyway so let's just look at it

En fait, c'est avec une vitesse foudroyante, et c'est bien de cela que ça a l'air, dans les 1000 km/h; mais c'est vrai que ce n'est pas un missile hypersonique. Cependant, ça ne me fait pas trop rire, il y a eu des morts et des blessés ...

      @@felix25ize 1000kmh en vitesse terminale , sauf que cette bande de branquignoles ont admiré le missile du début à la fin sans rien faire tu as vu le rapport d'incident du sheffield ? ils ont crus que le missile avait foiré car le réacteur ne s'allumait pas au lancement XD ensuite ils ont crus que le missile n'avait pas la portée, ENSUITE quand ils ont réalisés le fait que le missile avait bel et bien la portée suffisante, ils se sont aperçus que les armes n'étaient pas chargées et que l'alerte n'avait été que partiellement donnée
      un Exocet ça doit accélerer et c'est un gros missile (en plus la version qu'ils ont lancé est rouge-orange fluo donc impossible à ne pas voir)
      resultat des courses : un missile sur deux à touché le Sheffield dont les armes n'étaient pas prêtes à l'emploi en zone de conflit et dont les munitions auraient pu vaporiser le missile avant d'avoir eu le temps d'accélerer,
      la seule chose que je salue c'est le fait qu'ils aient réussis à maintenir le navire à flot assez longtemps par rapport à ses avaries dues au missile, en terme de motivation c'est quand même un sacré niveau, dommage que le navire ait coulé
      donc OUI j'en rit et je me fout royalement d'eux comme ils l'ont fait pour notre flotte pendant la deuxieme guerre .

    Dassault is the best rafale omnirole fighter for 23 years to come.its combat proven and can be perhaps upgraded to a new level of 5.5 fifth generation.the fighter is highly reliable in asian and middle Eastern arenas.the french Dassault is a certified brand name.

    Nice depiction of the MIRAGE V in the presentation using FAV (Venezuelan Air Force) painting scheme, it occupied a key role as both air-air and air-ground fighter, even using the famous Exocet missile for sea surface ships in Venezuela airforce until it was retired during early 2000s.

      the EXOCET missiles were used too in air to surface configuration (by the way, the fact that the exocet can be launched from a Super Etendard comes from the argentinian army that made a fortune droping pod to launch them ... i'm not kidding they really did it XD)

    Some of the specs you listed, specifically the range of the aircraft were incorrect. For ex., you have the range of the Mirage 5 listed as 4,000km. That's FERRY range. In reality, it's range is closer to 1,200km. Same w/the Mirage III. 3,335km is it's ferry range...COMBAT range is 1,200km. Not a big deal though, I still REALLY enjoyed the topic. 😉👍👍✌️

    Actually the rafale was priced at 77million for French airforce while export models that we're offered cost just over 70+million to 80+million, Only the Indian rafale model cost 120+million. Don't know why it cost that much but In Malaysia when they offered the rafale to replace our mig29s the price tag was just above 70million...

      There's multiple reasons in my opinion on why sold it at such a high price.
      1. There's the Danger of rafales tech falling into Chinese and Russian hands as China is Heavily Pressing the Disputed border and Russia is the main Arms supplier for India.
      2. India is 4th strongest, France is 5th. See the competition?
      3. France wants MORE MONEY! As india can pay more so they want more!

      The Indian Rafale is more expensive because it came with more features, including specific requirements for the IAF and many missiles. Each country has its own demands and its own budget limitations, like Greece wich bought second-hand Rafales.

    The part about the Mystere jets is messed up. The 452 is the Mystere II and comes BEFORE the 454, which is the Mystere IV. Hope that helps you.

    It's a sad thing that UK's aerospace industry after the war didn't produced a real,decent fighter.
    The G.Meteor was inferior to Mig15, the Hunter was the classic too late, and the Lightining was less than stellar compared to its contemporaries such as the Mirage or the Draken.
    Perhaps few knew that Marcel Dassault surname before WWII was Bloch, and he designed one of best France's fighters, had they build more perhaps the outcome in the air could've been less disastrous for the French.

    7:45 that is not a Mirage 2000 picture, this is the picture of a Mirage 4000 that is the prototype of the Rafale (you can see it thanks to his white livrery)

      Hi. Mirage 4000 is the dual engine version of the 2000. It's not the prototype of the Rafale, the Rafale A, equipped with longer engines than the one the demonstrator Rafale C01 (the black) subsequently received from Snecma.
      But yes, this clear livery is for the prototypes from Dassault Aviation.

They both respond to a superiority requirement as an interceptor fighter, but the Rafale was born from a totally new purposes and tech, in order to replace all the fighters of the Armée de l'air + Marine + Strategic forces, etc, what define the omnirole capabilities.
      All the systems was designed for and not redesigned from something existing. But we can see a link between the 4k and Raf : the unretained program of a too powerful and too expensive Mirage 4k to maintain operational, leads Dassault+Thales+Snecma to know what it was preferable.
      The breaking with the Eurofighter program was also motivated by that.

    Dassault is NOT pronounced like you do! It is a french company, thus french pronounciation. And it is pronounced like "Dasoe"
