Video description: It could be argued that the history of aviation spans thousands of years, but in the last generation alone, mankind has developed technology that has allowed humanity to not only take flight, but to accomplish powerful feats of aerodynamic speed, distance, and heights. Many fighters which could proved combat effectiveness didn’t enter into production. Today the buzz presents the ten fighters which didn’t make it to squadron service.
Enjoy watching. Cheers!

FYI: This is not a ranking video. Thanks
Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction more videos.
Ok
there is chinese flag next to the su-37
the YF-12...was not cancelled.....12 A-12 were built and hold quite a few world records in Speed, maximum Altitude ....They were replaced by the SR-71.
Ace combat guys already tested most of these prototypes 🔥😂
Ya bro😂
You're right buddy we flew all of these in the Ace Combat games
SU37 and SU47 in AC5 was my shitttt!
Ace combat. Laughs in DCS
Sukhoi builds the most beautiful fighters! I loved the YF-23 as well.
The YF-17 competed with the YF-16 for the USAF. The F-16 was chosen but the US Navy saw promise in the YF-17 design and after further development it eventually became the F/A-18
thats i was going to to say yf-17 looks like f18 hornet
Thank you. It confused me as to why they added to the video as its literally the prototype hornet
The yf-17 is on display at Mobile Alabama
Yf 23 the unsung beast
The CF-105 Avro Arrow's first flight was about 20 years before 1979 as listed. Just a heads up.
That's what I thought too. And its target speed was mach 3, even though it fell short in initial testing.
And I am pretty sure that it didn't have prat&whitney engines either
the first 5 had them but 106 was fitted with Iroquois engine but was scrapped before first flight
Yf23 looks like a 6th gen fighter
It looks like a grandiose cut of the defense budget
It may still see life as a 5+ gen platform. Japan is working with Northrop on its next fighter and the rumor mill holds that the Black Widow is being used as an influence.
Yes it does looks good too.
It's supposedly ALOT faster than the F22 the developers are still not allowed to say how much exactly. I guess the f22 was fast enough.
Great! Keep going the videos :)
Lavi project was then sold to china and is now in shape of j10
Truuu sad good design in hands of trash people who just copy
@@kelvinkudirical1438 why westerners hate easterners???
@@realShikha885 i am an eastern too nobody hates west, middles or east and y do u say western hate eastern without a saying a reason
@@kelvinkudirical1438 What? You need to go back to English classes, bro.
Israel had a condition that China will not sell the new plane to Iran. Spoiler, China is planning to trade J-10 for oil with Iran.
The CF-105 Avro Arrow had full fly-by-wire 20 years before the YF-17 had partial.
SU 37 is Russian not Chinese
Other than the avro, f23 ,mig144 and su 47 , the other planes had a derivative that did go into service.
Lavi
CF105 was a work of art then and could still be using todays tech.
Just to put things in their proper place the YF-12 had a top speed of 2275 MPH not 2275km/hr. Converted to km/hr to give an accurate comparison the YF-12 had a top speed of 3661 km/hr. Get it right, I'd hate for the viewers to think that Lockheed made a plane 34 years before the SU-47 that was only 75 km/hr faster.
The F20 should have been adopted by the Air Force. It was better and much cheaper to operate than the F16. BUT the development was independant of Air Force input and they would not buy it. Atlantic magazine had an excellent article about it back then.
Yak-141
F-22)
If it had been in service, it could have saved the Kiev aviation cruisers.
They got a lot of their facts wrong (like showing the YF-12As speed in KM/H instead of MPH or 30% slower than it was and the YF-17 which absolutely did enter service as the venerable F/A-18)but still an interesting video :)
I feel sorry of Northrup. Most of its designs were scraped, even if it was a great alternative.
I'm missing the British TSR :{
And the Saunders-Roe 177
The TSR was a bomber, not a fighter.
I thought it was supposed to be a multirole aircraft capable of being used as a bomber, fighter and reconnaissance@@dedurocortorum365
the yf-17 IS the f-18 so it technecally still entered service?
Actually its not. YF-17 is not even prototype of F-18.
@@daliborkudrna437 yes it is
Good morning🌞 🙏🏻
The YF-17 is the F-18 Hornet. The YF12 became the SR71
Missing the TSR2
Another one you missed out was the Yakovlev yak 141
Err... there's a lot going wrong here. The Northrop YF-17 was developed into the Hornet (and this video even shows a photo of a Hornet). The Su-37 was the tech demonstrator for the Su-35, which IS in production right now (you also had a Chinese flag next to it while it's a Russian plane), the IAI Lavi was (for all intents and purposes) rebranded as the Chinese J-10. Also, it's widely believed that the MiG 1.44 became the basis for the Chinese J-20 stealth interceptor.
Yeah, so much for research. First bird was actually refined and put in production, three were tech demonstrators, and one was a copy of the predecessor to the SR-71...
Why did you assign the Chinese flag for the Su-37 Terminator?
@@thebuzz4108 Nope its the chinese
@@thebuzz4108 He is right, its a Chinese national flag. I am russian, and i know what it looks like Soviet flag ;)
Sorry for the mistake
@@thebuzz4108 Also for MiG... It's 1.44 not 1:44
No mention of TSR-2 and A-12 Avenger. I mean, seriously?
The clue's in the name, tactical, strike, reconnaissance 2 wasn't going to be a fighter.
@@paulqueripel3493 Fair enough
Notice how the Su-37 has the Gelb skin from ACZ
So in design of mirage 4000 is basically a rafale and mirage 2000 put together
Correction for the Avro CF-105, you marked 1979 first flight, It should be 1949 for first flight. AThe Arrow like if was called, was a very advance Interceptor for it's time.
First flight : 25 March 1958
Dissapointed you missed out the TSR2
former Yugoslavia-s " novi avion" ( new aircraft )
RIP F-20 Tigershark.
why does the Sukhoi SU-37 have a Chinese flag? Sukhoi is predominately a Russian company so it should have the Russian flag not the Chinese flag
The yf17 kind of did get produced the project became the f18
Let's go!! SU-37 Belkan skin
What about the F-15S/MTD
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
YF-12 is a prototype of SR-71
WHAT ABOUT TRS.2 ?
TSR2 has entered the chat....
Lavi do entered service not with Israel but with china😂
Hacking and reverse engineering is key to China's rise
@@sankalpsuryavanshi4788Lavi (J-10) is not hacking and reverse engineering, they actually buy this program from Israelis.
Now i understand where from china gets inspiration of its j20
Really? It was long time know that they buy 1.44 technology from Russians for its J-20. It was not just inspiration it is real basement, same like Lavi and its J-10.
I miss Su-47
Robo voice drives me nuts.
YF-17 was a prototype aircraft. Wasn't it developed further and morphed into the US Navt F-18?
It was originaly designed to compete against YF-16. Although it is (design speaking) similar to F-18, they are not technically much related.
YF17 😍😍super in dogfight
Yf 17 is the F18
Yf-23 , still on wish list of many countries but US doesn't want to sell idea
You missed the atlas carver
Very interesting video!

3. YF12 looks like Blackbird 😅😅
4. Su47 is 😍😍😍😍😍
What about PAK FA T50?

El yf 23 debe construirse!!!! Es más se debe mejorar su diseño y constituir un nuevo avión de sexta generación!!!!
Yf 17 is the modern hornet women.
Su-47 fighter from future 😎🤠👍
YF-12A was a mach 3+ aircraft. At least do some research!
Also made on video which fighter jet Pakistan enter in his Airforce
Yf 32
TR3B
No SR-177...
And the Buzz does it again...where's the TSR 🤷🤦🤣🤣
You forgot the TSR 2! That even today, ranks as one of the fastest fighter jets of all time! First flight in 1964. Cancelled because the UK didn't want to embarrass the USA.
You forgot the TSR2, a plane so far ahead of it's time it would probably still be in service today had it not been cancelled by that leftie Harold Wilson.
Agree with you John...
@@guillermoalvaradoflores8698 Cheers
The TSR2 was a bomber.
N 1 SU - 47
1:18 Sukhoi... China flag...
Since China also uses it, she may be mistaken.
the Chinese one should be J20
YF-17 wasn't cancelled, it instead became the F-18, which we all know the US Navy has plenty of
YF-17 was Nothrop entry in competition and YF-18 was the MD entry both where similar but YF-18 went into production
@@jonathangiroux6649 F-18 was based on YF-17. The YF-17 was the loser of the LWF competition, but still an excellent plane far more suited for naval use. The production of the F-18 was split between McDonnell Douglas and Northrop.
The F-18 featured a strengthened airframe, landing gear and tail hook, but based completely on Northrop's YF-17 design.
@@jonathangiroux6649 For the record, there is no such thing as a YF-18
@@jonathangiroux6649 Vought and General Dynamics actually teamed up, against Northrop who teamed up with McDonnell Douglas.
Vought and GD came up with a navalized YF-16 (Google Vought Model 1600)
Northrop and McD Douglas came up with the F-18, which was a navalized YF-17.
The chinese flag for the SU37 🙄
*Me:* (in tears) build the SU47 PLEASE!!
*TheGovt:* it's not even from our country, we don't need it, and it would waste potentially billions of YOUR taxpayer money.

Stupid amount of untrue info
Strange video, some strange selections, some strange pronunciations. I would recommend a bit more research and also include the TSR2.
Pakistan saved jf17 from this list
Don't comment foolish things
Now people will start indian pakistan comment war
Yeaa im from Israel, 🇮🇱 we are maybe small but we're strong 😤
Love from 🇮🇳
well, given the ammount of money the US gives you. but still.. Hold strong!
American gets impressed with thrust vectoring of F22 (YF22) otherwise YF23 is more stealthy... 😅😅😅😅😅
Probably the first time when Americans chooses maneuverability over stealth 😅😅 may be that technology use/helpful in 6th gen fighters..... 😅😅😅
5:30 israeli lavi🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
The 144 could have been a great aircraft, but for me, the biggest travesties were the F-20 & F-23! Unfortunately political lobbying wins the day! Bit like the TSR-2!!
