    Titans very underrated trucks.

    Rear seat entertainment package was supposed to have screens in the headrests with remote and 2 pair of wireless headphones. Pretty nice setup if it's actually installed.

      Yeah, sometimes I don't get the correct Monroney for the media vehicles. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Great review. Perfect for hauling family and travel trailer for all those vacation items.

      Thanks for watching and commenting! I really like the Titan and Titan XD, especially if you can find them for with big discounts.

    That V8 sounds awesome. Nissan always had a great engine note. I also like the two tone paint job, seems to be a rare option in modern trucks.

    • @EngineAdventures
      @EngineAdventures  Před 3 lety

      One of my favorite engines for sure! Ram offers the two tone on a variety of colors as well, but it's not as common.

    I’m planning on buying one and I appreciate the information.

    I think this truck is heroic

    What is the payload on this one? I keep hearing 2400 but then find info that it’s around 1900+ with the platinum reserve top trim. Maybe those worthless cargo boxes are heavy. Lol.

    • @EngineAdventures
      @EngineAdventures  Před rokem

      Well this one was 1690, so it's really down from what it could be.

  • @mikeriv60
    @mikeriv60 Před 3 lety +1

    This maybe a dumb question but is there a road tax or something extra because this truck falls between 1/2 and 3/4 ton and no MPG rating.
    Thanks.

      If the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) is above 8,500 pounds then the EPA doesn't require fuel mileage testing. Airbags aren't even required for vehicles above 10,000 GVWR.
      The additional tax is when you register it commercially (at least in my state it's only for commercial vehicles with Gross Combined Weight Rating above 12,000 lbss) and above 10,000 lbs GCWR for most states I believe.

      @@EngineAdventures
      Ahh so it's only if its registered you think commercially when the extra taxes is required.
      Thank you

      @@mikeriv60 no problem, at least that's the way it is now n my state, not sure about others.

      Another question..
      I'm hearing that Nissan is discontinuing the Titan also in 2022 model year or so. Have you heard any rumors?
      Thanks.

  • @eijiroinouye4115
    @eijiroinouye4115 Před 2 lety

    Does it feel cheaper compared to a $75,000 domestic??

    • @EngineAdventures
      @EngineAdventures  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, but it's not significantly worse. Honestly the build quality feels just as good, it's lacking some features and isn't quite as well refined. I really like the Titan and Titan XD, but they'd have to be the right price for me to consider them over an American 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck.

    • @eijiroinouye4115

      @@EngineAdventures Perhaps they may depreciate a little quicker as well. Thank You

    Damn damn sad they canceling these truck in 2024.

    • @EngineAdventures
      @EngineAdventures  Před rokem +1

      It's a good, or even great truck, but the market for it isn't big enough. It's hard to justify for many people, especially those who only go off numbers and not actually driving feel. The XD is way more stable than any half ton when towing, but isn't rated much higher, making it a hard sell for many.

    • @mikeriv60
      @mikeriv60 Před rokem +2

      @@EngineAdventures
      I agree about the numbers and it's true about how great of a tow vehicle it is over a "regular" half ton and that's why I believe Nissan totally screwed up by not doing a better job of advertising this vehicle for what it is..better and more stable tow vehicle.
      People who tow 10k lbs or more with a basic 1/2 ton are nuts imo but hey what do I know.

  • @AB-coyote
    @AB-coyote Před 2 lety

    What was in that crate on the trailer to make it 6,000 lbs?

    • @EngineAdventures
      @EngineAdventures  Před 2 lety +1

      This trailer is a little under 3k lbs empty and each of those bins is around 1,700lbs. They are filled part way up with scrap steel, then that is covered in cement. They are just ballast weights.

      @@EngineAdventures I figured it was something like that. Nicely done review. I like how you listed Motortrends 0 to 60 even though yours was different. Of course different days, conditions etc play a role.

      Thanks for the support! Yeah I'm at about 4,600-4,700 feet so N/A engines don't breath as well up here as they do down in California.

    I have a 2021 bronco sport big bend everyone seems to do the badlands reviews and test I’d really like to see reviews or test on this trim as this is the trim i seem to be seeing the most as it the most affordable for what you get besides the base model. Thanks, appreciate all your videos.
