He would've been able to spend it in a night if he went to Vegas. Champagne for the casino! Everyones a winner!😂
@@1986jon19 Well then he should've invested black or red with the expectation of seeing a return until his investments wiped him out at the casino😂
@@hakshustletvIf you'd watched the film... just like MotionPic Recap should have... He was only allowed to gamble away a certain percentage which I think was 5% of the 30 million
@@jamesbeckwith3639 I ended up watching the film…
@@jamesbeckwith3639he could only gamble or donate 5%, however IF you were to rent the casino in not sure there'd be a problem
Weird, i remember it being spending 30 million to get 300 million 🤔
...maybe what those amounts would be worth presently, secondary to inflation. LOL!
Yea, you're right it was spend 30 million to get 300 millions fortunes or punk out to get just 3 millions
This way adds more shock value 100 million over 30 million I suppose
Recaps compensated for inflation LOL
You're right
wow! you narrated one of my favorite moviesin the 80's in less than 14 minutes
That's from the 80's? Wooahhh. I need more if this
6:59 this part had me dying lol
I like this movie adaptation the best. Interestingly, this movie was already the 8th adaptation of the novel, which came out in 1902.
This movie was always fun to watch, and imagine I was Monty and how I would have spent the money.
Nowadays....you could spend in 15 days and be broke til the end of the month
This movie used to come on TBS all the time. I'd watch it if I wasn't doing anything else. It was mildly entertaining. Completely inoffensive.
King of comedy richard pryor
Rip king
Did the narrator ever watch the movie? There was no billion dollar inheritance, Monty was supposed to properly spend $30 million without saying why to anyone in order to receive his true inheritance of $300 million dollars not 1 billion. Mr deeds the only film where a regular old Joe inherits billions of dollars. The Adam Sandler Mr deeds not Tyler perry Mr deeds 🎬🎥📼
Dude relax!! It's adjusted for inflation. The film was made in '85. Thus, $300 million back then would be worth close to $1 billion today!!
Man I loved this movie back in the day.
Richard.You were a lovely lovely man.RIP
This was such a fun movie!
Ice berg to Africa what a great idea🤣🤣
0:42 The fight cracks me up big time. When I first saw the fight , I laughed so hard…. it drove me to tears. If you play this part in slow motion, Richard Pryor has this hilarious grimace when he gets punched in the face. He also has this other hilarious grimace when he punches the other hecklers. It cracks me up every time.
The thing is it was self-defense! smh!
Actually indian actor Rajinikanth acted in a movie with the same plot and its called "Arunachalam"
Sam Bankman Fried the movie. Start with 30 billion and make sure you have nothing left :D
Amazing!!!!
Such a great movie
Looks like a movie with high production costs & a large number of extras
Bro got a free trail 😂
Yeah it is real that he went from 30 milion to 100 million
Great freaking movie I never get tired of seeing it
Watched a Chinese adaption that was almost exactly like this except it was a soccer team instead of a baseball team lol
he had to spend 30 million dollars in a month to receive 300 million dollars
If you're going to recap a movie, it's probably a good idea to get one of the main points right. Monty only had to spend $30 million in 30 days; if he did it successfully, he'd get $300 million, not a billion.
This is hilarious 😂
Why did you change the amounts for the spending challenge in the narration?
He's to spend 30 million in 30 days to inherit 300 million not a hundred million in 30 days to inherit a billion
Ah Bruster's Millions.
I've been trying to revive NONE OF THE ABOVE! It's just too perfect for the modern age of politics....child sniffers or bleach drinkers, I am surprised we even value the vote at all!
6:43 Would have only taken me a week.
Let's say was the 1990s there was 200000 homeless.
The average hotel room cost $45.
I could put up every homeless person for 10 days.
With price variation I would have just enough left over to send every hotel room a care package.
The type of care package would depend on how much money I have left over which would be anywhere is between 6 million and 2 million....
Essentially completing the goal in 10 days Of spending a 100 million dollars.....
i just buy a mansion a yatch and expensive cars. done.
@@kulasbukid the condition is you can't own anything after a month
Wouldn’t that count as a charity?
4:54 that's the dad from 7 Heaven
Lmao just wait till the last hour then go buy a 100 million dollar taco from a street vendor
Arunachalam movie is based on this. One of the good hit in Indian South Indian film industry
This movie had more diversity than anything put out in the last twenty years.
Didn't played in "which way is up"
It was spend 30 million in 30 days NO ASSETS to get 300 million
No comedian could pull off another remake
With today's prices, he could probably spend it in a day and even end up with a significant debt.
The theme of this movie is money is not answer your problems but the problems it causes you and only way to solve your problem being around right people and make right decided without and with money movie
What's the background music
He's a lawyer not a decorator😅
How the fuck he gonna stipulate he can’t own anything after 30 days 😂😂😂 nah son. Once the bigger sum of money is transferred after homeboy wins the bet, dead dude has no say in it anymore.
He has to spend 30 million to get 300 million not a billion.
He can’t give money to charity, own assets or tell anyone why his spending.
He can take a million now and forget about it not ten million.
i would have love to see how he spent the 1 billion
It was 30 million in 30 days too win 300 hundred million
What happens if he owns property after a month? If the choice is 10M (with no conditions) or 1B if he spends 100M, why not just go with the 100M and spend it on himself? That's already more than the 10M he would get without conditions anyway
There’s likely a clause where, if he failed, all possessions would be repossessed and sold at auction.
>52 states
So this takes place in the future? When DC and Puerto Rico are states 🤯
So now 300 million is a billion?
Dude get the plot right- he had to spend $30 million in order to get $300 million
I wish I have an uncle that pulls this crap on me
If Brewster fulfills the terms of the will he inherits $300 million not 1 billion.
Inflation, you know 😉
And he had to spend $30 million and would have gotten $1 million to chicken out.
@@Ozymandias1 true
@@MotionPicRecap right😉
Yea I thought it was 30 million in a month and he get 300 million.
100 million is too crazy for even today to spend in a month.
tamil movie aranachalam da..
Also, Bollywood Movie starring Nasiruddin Shah....
Before you post a video of any movie. Get the facts straight. It was 30 million to spend and get 300 million.
ending is nahhh no lesson
How shit was this Recap.... MotionPic Recap obviously didn't watch the film because he kept referring to the amount of money as having to spend 100 million to gain a billion when it was actually having to spend 30 million to gain 300 million.. even the title was wrong....
poor coverage, that its stupid; He's to spend 30 million in 30 days to inherit 300 million not a hundred million in 30 days to inherit a billion; I guess he never saw the movie
Why's the money figures significantly higher
Hale Berry
This is classic entertaining everyday unperfected unusual funny being selfless wise truthful over the top life lessons funny entertaining being rich without .money motivated feel blessed to get money movie
It's 300 million .an 30 million. ...wtf this is weird
It is the same as the Chinese film hello mr billioner
Today you could just buy NfTs.
Billion or 300 million? What's the difference 😅
300 million is not a billionair
I could have a bought a house with that amount and could have sell to 1k dollaors........later i spend that easily
Movie name????
spongebob
8:40 wow today I learned the United States had 52 states in 1985… they must have lost two of them from the crack epidemic… or maybe sold them for crack rocks
No, you see, Brewster bought those states and had to dump them before the end of the movie…
30 Million and 300 Million do not make him a Billionaire so your terms are wrong here
Real movie is 30 mill for 30 days, complete it get 300 million.
@@danieldieni3188 and how does that fact change my comment in the slightest. That fact is literally in my comment and it’s still a fact that he’s not a Billionaire by any definition as I stated in my comment
The lead female is beautiful stunning sexy reasonable smart successful business like strong will fair minded good at her job person
I made it 1k...
Wait his uncle is white?
It happens. Maybe he is dark skin biracial.
@@youmnawehesh5769 nah to dark to be biracial
@@youmnawehesh5769 but I understand your point
@@youmnawehesh5769 it is his great uncle Rupert Horn, the brother of his grandmother.
Whit a white grandmother and a black grandfather, Montgomery's grandparents would be biracial and 50% black.
If the other parent was 100% black, Montgomery would be biracial and 75% black.
He should have bought Twitter with Elon Musk
Bollywood fans does this look familiar 😅
Of course it's familiar. The 120-year old book, which this movie is based on, has been remake multiple times.
@@animefan25Thank you for your reply and clearly I was not aware of the book. The point I was trying to make was that the bollywood movie called "Malamaal" is a scene to scene copy of this movie. I don't think it's directors read the book, but just saw this and copied. Obviously local customization exist like baseball is replaced by cricket, movie songs etc
koreans copied this great movie
Indians too... Naseeruddin Shah movie
Everybody copies this movie. The original book was in like 1910.
Malaysia too. I think all countries must have a copy
wrong... its not a 100m.. its 30 m in 30 days.. its not 10m to take it now.. its 1m.. if yr going to tell the story get yr facts straight first..
