Falsely accused, Kramer and Douglas set out to take down Haney, but soon discover people in the White House are trying to kill them, and the two are hunted across The United States by federal agents as they’re trying to let the people know about what’s happening…

This is one of the very few movie recaps I've stopped halfway and actually went to watch the movie and wasn't disappointed its hilarious and fantastic
I've seen the film and it's pretty good.
I love that for Kramer's Presidential library, they used photos of his Navy service from Jack Lemmon's earlier movie "The Wackiest Ship in the Army."
I’ve always loved this film. James Garner and Jack Lemmon are great in it. There is a scene in the middle where both Presidents are challenged on the real life consequences of the decisions they made. It is very sobering moment. It takes place when they are in the car of two struggling Americans.
Great scene and the movie did a good job of poking fun at both sides.
Im imaging Bill Clinton and George W Bush in this movie. In real life the two of them have actually developed a very close friendship which I just adore.

Walter matthau was supposed to play douglass but he couldn't do it due to Ill health. Worked out but matthau would have been great as he had amazing chemistry w/lemmon

It was a nice bipartisan comedy for its time.
It ripped both sides of the aisle. "We lost our jobs to you and our house to you. All we got left is one slim chance to start over with our family and this car and what it carries is all we have left." That was such a great scene and it really drove home how bad both sides can be because neither one truly cares for the American people.
