    • @RideWithAlex
      @RideWithAlex  Před 7 měsíci

      No, you will mess the fuel pressure to the injector and the scooter will run lean. It has a big fuel filter in the mouth of the fuel pump in the tank it's all it needs.

    Hello Alex. it doesnt really have something to do with the video, but I wanna buy new tyres on my sym jet 14 and i cannot find michelin city grip 2 for 100/90/14 measures for the front tyre. These are the measures written in the scooter book. Should i give up on michelin city grip 2 and buy another tyre or just buy this one but another measure? For example the back tyre has 110//80/14 and I found for bot rear and front. Would it be a good idea to buy 2 tyres like this for both rear and front ? I heard they are kinda the best on the market so that s why i am insisting on them.

    • @RideWithAlex
      @RideWithAlex  Před 8 měsíci

      You can buy a 100/90/14 that's "made for the rear" and just mount it backwards on the front. When a tyre says it's made for the rear it just means they only give you rotation direction for the rear. If you put it on the front you just have to mount it the opposite rotation direction from the rear.

    Did you check the valves clearances on the Zontes? Sometimes they can be off from the factory and if the cold starts are not ok, they can be too tight.

    Sunt interesat de posibilitatea creșterii vitezei maxime. ( Standard se plafoaneaza in jurul vitezei de 102 km/h, care în realitate e aprox 90-92 km/h.
    E exact viteza la care te lupți cu tirurile.
    Ideal ar fi să adaug vreo 10 km in plus, nu e important reprizele sau accelerația.
    Ce poți recomanda? Role, curea, ambreiaj de alte dimensiuni? Bineînțeles, păstrarea garanției și fiabilității,.

    • @RideWithAlex
      @RideWithAlex  Před 6 měsíci

      Orice modificare duce la pierderea garanției. În materie de role am încercat role de 18grame și la viteza maxima nu au făcut nici o diferență. Nu știu nici eu exact ce sa încerc ca nu găsesc piese modificate, mai studiez problema.

    Alex i saw you used 10w40 oil for your engine but Sym here in Greece says we should use 15w50 or 20w50 oil for Symphony ST200 Euro5. Last week I got mine to the Sym dealer for the first 1000km service and they put inside my engine Sym 20w50 oil.. i think it's too thick and my motor is struggling to accelerate after that.!
    Already replaced it after 50km with a new 15w50 oil. If course it feels better but not as it's first 1000kms..
    Should i check for a new 10w40 oil this time you think?
    Friends are using 10w40 in the same engine and suggests me to go for it. But Sym Greece doesn't agree with that and i could have warranty issues (2 years in Greece) if i use thinner than 15w50 oil.. OK I'll do it by myself and no-one of them will ever know.
    You know what Romanian manual suggests for your scooter oil?

    • @RideWithAlex

      Thanks. I just bought my 3rd Symphony (love those 16" wheels), and checked with the local dealer for the ideal oil for it, they insist I should only use semi-synthetic in those but I'm not sure why. They use (and recommend) Motul 5000 10W40 specifically. I've used fully synthetic Castrol Power Racing 10W40 in my older one and at some point it started leaking, so I'm not sure. As a semi-synthetic I've heard the Castrol Power 1 is a better option, but not sure.

    with open side of spanner its easy to kill the head of the nut or bolt or even loose it and hurt your hands. Nice job btw.
