Hi Alex. Jim from Madrid, Spain (a New Yorker expat living abroad and a Bike lover for over 40 years!).
First - you are becoming (since the past months that I subscribed to your channel) one of my favourite channels because:
- you are HONEST.
- you Speak your mind as a biker and as a daily user.
- I understand @ int'l level the differences and way of riding and living (US vs the EU).
Note: Rumania is very similar in many ways (not equal, of course) as other EU countries, such as Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, etc. And I know because I've travelled and worked to and in over 25 countries World Wide for over 25 years (For all inquiring minds that might want to know).
Second - Your content is FRESH and Personal. In my case, I can relate to you and to many things you say and think, and I like it!
Third - I've watched most of your videos. And it's great content (at least for me!). As I wrote on another video (though I don't post a lot due to health issues) I am a biker that has sold his bikes because I can't ride normal bikes anymore and I want to switch to a different type of BIKE, a scooter (YES! Though many don't consider them Bikes, they are in fact BIKES! - BIKE = Bicycle on 2 wheels with a motor - some now also have 3 wheels) and you are helping me recover from a tough depression due to my health issues, so thank you!
Fourth - It is ALWAYS good to try new things that add value with a clear focus. Maybe the content won't be the best for some, it will be interesting for others and some new people on the channel mind find it very interesting and will subscribe (my case!). So... the daily and interesting life of Alex as a daily biker in Romania has my thumbs up of approval.
Fifth - and last... Don't you EVER loose your spirit and great character! It's what makes you... YOU! And also different. And that's why I believe people like you so much (I mean the content of your videos... you seem like a nice enough guy, but you ain't my type!).

Thank you for all the kind words :D:D:D I would like to keep my content raw like this for ever no matter how much the channel grows. In the end that's the idea of the channel, to document my journey through the world of 2 wheels and not make it some kind of high end production.

And I would like to add that I really enjoy motorcycle/scooter maintenance videos, and since you ride a lot you have a lot of maintaining to do! There is something satisfying about seeing a machine being well taken care of:)

I fancy replacing my Honda Varadero 125 (ish) with a Kawasaki Versys 300 because I agree that thats about the sweet spot for all around practicality and usability in all arenas.

I'm curious about the tools the boys used to extract the bolt. I had to do it a few times using a screw/bolt extractor also called an anti-tap locally. It causes me much anxiety when it happens. Once I had a bleed screw broke on the radiator of a car's engine which rendered the complete engine useless until we could fix it.
I like the practical value of these videos. It adds knowledge.
Drilled it out, went from a M6 thread to am M8 thread and put an M8 bolt into the hole. So basically we drilled a bigger hole.
@@RideWithAlex I hope they tried a screw extractor first because you have to drill a hole in the centre of the bolt to get it to work and if it fails the last resort would be to drill out the complete bolt, resize and tap. Pity I can't post a link here.

Itich to shift gears at times on a motorcycle instead of automatic of a scooter. I have a bad left hip and I can’t swing my leg over a motorcycle seat.

This was very good video. I don’t like the double speed, when fixing the scooter.
So almost perfect. And that is a great start in my book.
Well the double speed was 30 minutes of trying to turn the bolt at least one turn, would have been kind of boring. I was really waiting for it to come out but ultimately failed. :))

Interesting to see a bit of Bucharest. As a suggestion for video content, I myself buy cheap wrecks that I fix up (I'm a beginner, as you can see on my channel and my videos..). I like videos like this. But I also like your Donnie videos as I am thinking of getting one in the future. It would also be interesting if you compared the quality between different scooters, also differences in the windshield etc. China vs Sym for example. Notice that you are very knowledgeable.

On the books it doesn't show up as fitting on the GK350 :(
You are doing great, please always wear protection you made me wonder when you was doing one hand throttle the other go pro without helmet.
That's just arround the yard, it's private property plus it's low speed, I always have a helmet on the street.

Salut Alex! Am observat ca si tu ti-ai dori ceva mic de oras dar cu sufucienta putere motiv pentru care as dori sa te intreb daca ai incercat vreodata Piaggio Beverly 400. Mersi si asteptam cat mai multe video pe viitor (ex. real-case scenarios cu scutere care vin in service pentru revizii/probleme si modul in care sunt manageriate dpdv mecanic/administrativ).
Pot sa arat doar chestii legate de ale mele si ce fac eu, totusi imi place locul actual de munca si nu as vrea sa fiu in cautare de altul =)))))). Iar legat de scuter/motor tot oscilez. Eu si asa am mers pe un scuter de 169cc si un motor de 1085cc m-am dus in parti diametral opusa, unu mic si usor si cealalat un camion. Nu stiu cand o sa se aduna finantele ma las sa ma surprind singur de ce tampenie mai cumpar =)))
Mersi de raspuns. Desigur ca noi, urmaritorii tai, n-am vrea sa te plasam dincolo de limite. Coincidenta face ca si eu am un Sym ST200, la care recunosc ca ai avut un rol in a certifica achizitia lui prin faptul ca i-ai aratat fiabilitatea pe yt, deci de aici intrebarea legata de Beverly 400. Allready have an ADV bike and naked bikes aren't really my style, plus I'm looking for something in the 300cc range, preferably twin cylinder

Salutare Alex, ar fi interesant un comparativ cu NHT300 vs Zontes 350T2, cu ceva combinat sosea si offroad. Cu 350 T2 chiar nu prea sunt recenzii pe net. Oricum, buna ideea de a face video si cu motociclete. 👍
E cam complicat sa prind 2 motociclete inmatriculate in acelasi timp pt in comparativ.

@@redbluedanielful NH-T - ul vibreaza mai putin la viteza dar T350-ul se simte mai stabil la viteza. Eu personal nu ma impac bine cu vibrațiile pentru ca ma gadil foarte rpd in talpa si nu pot merge de loc pe o motocicleta care vibreaza. Intre ele strict pentru mine as merge pe NH-T. As renunta la cei 15 cai diferenta din cauza vibratiilor, dar repet asta e strict pentru mine din cauza problemei cu gadilatul in tălpi 🤷🏻♂️

p.s. Yes, you ride a bit aggressive in the traffic to my teste.
I allready have a scooter so a geared bike for sure, just not sure what exactly I want. Haven't even decided on the style of bike. It's something to think about for the next couple of months.
