Figure Note:
Stop-Motion Transformation of Wonderful-Trans WT02 Sky Atlas. Thicctimus Prime. It’s a decent figure but it can require a hobbyist’s touch. The hinge nipple on one of the front wheel transport linkages broke on mine, so I had to source a longer screw online and then do a bit of dremelling to fix it. I would recommend just being VERY CAREFUL with those hinges. Also one of the trim parts fell off so I had to glue that back on. The front panels don’t quite seal successfully and I eventually had to give up on that happening - if WT wanted the thing to stitch together properly, I reckon they would have designed it to do so. The batteries are LR521/379. Also, I’m aware that the hip skirts are officially supposed to sit on the knees in truck mode, but I like it better the way I have them.

Truck to Robot: 0:09
Robot to Truck: 1:44
Speed run to Robot: 3:19
Speed run to Truck: 3:48
2x Run: 4:17
End credits: 4:46
Production Note: Had to use quite a bit of armature work to get it to stand at the halfway point, but all in all nothing too terrible. Nice to do a figure that has (gasp) only TWO modes for once.
Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

that Arm transformation assembly could only exist on a third party.
Impressive but mind boggling how they thought that up
I LOVE when Transformers get to be super duper stylized like this. That said, it could’ve been SO much simpler. C’mon now!
Good lord. The fact they made this transformable is crazy. I have the Flamestoys version and figured it was so stylized, there would never be a transformable version. This did not disappoint 👏 🙌 👌. Well done.
It's pretty cool.
Although I'm not a huge fan of how either mode looks, I really love the engineering on this guy. I love how the limbs come together
I will fully admit that I thought this was going to be primarily a parts-forming figure. And I was fine with that. WOW! I am totally blown away by this, and very happy!
Not a partsformer at all!
I fear this transformation but could not resist and ordered it ... Thanks for another piece of art.
The half-transformed cab is reminiscent of the protoform/atmospheric entry mode Optimus Prime from 2007
It kind of is!
This seems like an absudly complex transformation for a figure whose alt mode looks like a folded up robot.
You make a good point.
The engine in the axe gives this thing Devil may cry vibes
i like how the robot mode looks like it doesn't transform at all, despite doing so
Very cool video peolesdru
That is a lot of steps to make the truck do exactly what it looks like it does at a glance, but then the robot mode doesn’t even look like it transforms, so that’s definitely something.
Seen it. Alot better compared to siege prime with no awkward and bulky cape, but delicate and wobbly
Man these guys are crazy
Hey dude glad to see you were able to get this working. I willdefinitely use this video when my figure arrives!
Hope you enjoy it!
DUDE you're a lifesaver! I couldn't ahve done this without your vid!@@peolesdru
@@RidiculousBadgerGames Glad to help!
Only nitpick is that there aren't smoke stacks in vehicle mode, other than that there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good Prime.
interesting figure
What is the deal with vehicle mode? The robot mode is interesting, but the vehicle mode just looks like a mess to me with no attempt to conceal all of the gaps and panels.
Im not a faux chest fan, but due to the stylization of this design, Its acceptable. Is this based on the Flame Toys Furai model kit by chance?
The chest isn't very fake - the same windows are used for the truck and the robot. It does seem to be based on the Flames Toys figure, as was their previous figure WT01 (based on Flame Toys Drift)
@@peolesdru Oh yeah I see thar now
I heard this figure has qc issues, have you had any trouble while manipulating your figure?
Well, look who thinks he's MP-44. lol
Good point!
Ngl i dislike this version of idw prime
But he's so thiccccc
@peolesdru ik im late but this version in particular. The V1 and upgraded V1 (or V2 in short) are my fav ones. Next to the stylized G1 version design from an alt universe in idw
