- The Liv Lurra 1 is an affordable aluminum hardtail with modern standards, a dropper, and a house-branded 34mm 130mm air fork. This bike caught my eye as soon as it came out. It'll be interesting to see how this bike rides, it's got a unique geometry. What do you think? Would you be interested in taking this out on a trail?

Im kind of surprised to see you review a Giant product which i am a fan, it was your review and my not wanting a hardtail heavier than my carbon Trance, I bought a Spot Rocker which is an absolute blast (stk tires) on most eastern MA trails. Thanks
Very interested in this bike for my SO. She comes right in at 5'0 so it's nice to see a bike with a good low standover height. Makes things a lot less intimidating when riding techy trails.

thats really cool for that price of 1500 USD! my hardtail from 2018 coste 900cad. over the years of upgrading I think its total value in parts is now 1700 CAD and went from 34.8lbs to 29.5lbs including a trailer hitch! It's really interesting seeing a new bike and its price compares to an old one with similar upgrades.
Not even Giant has a Hardtail this agressive. Kudos to Liv for making a shreddy girls ht bike!

They do, it’s called the Fathom, which is what this bike appears to be based on
@@d.christopherhoover6153 the Fathom is similar, but it still has a 66’ HTA, so no. They’re ultimately very different bikes.
@@jurisx85 you might want to go look up the geometry charts, they are very similar
Liv claims the same HTA as the Fathom, with both at 66°. Steve may have measured 64.5°, but that could easily be from error or manufacturing inconsistencies.

My wife has this bike. It's her backup bike to her full suspension but she really enjoys it.
My wife wanted to comment that she is a medium at 5'5". Only upgrade she has made is saddle (personal), grips (personal), pedals, and a 25mm rose bar because she likes a higher stack. Hers has a NX shifter even though Steve mentioned SX shifter on his review unit. Sure this was a supply change at the time of my wife's purchase back in June.

This is a different bike than the fathom. I've been trying to get a fathom for review for years. No luck.
This bike is similar to the Fathom, so it'll be interesting to see how they compare.
@@PNWDad it uses the same fork and it's from the same parent company, but the geometry is quite different.
@@hardtailparty oh yeah i meant they're at the same price point and seem to be siblings, that's why I'm interested in how the Fathom compares. The hta you measured really surprised me, because giant says 66 for this and the Fathom. Maybe they measured with sag? Now I'm curious what my fathom actually measures. Wish I lived closer, would love to let you review it.
