    Love this guest! Please continue to bring him back. I’m so hung up emotionally. This recording and the one from yesterday has helped me a lot!

    I really like the analogy of the cake and the fact that you need to MARRY small cap value. So to be clear, it is not that small cap value will not perform in the long run; rather, people's emotions are likely to break -- ultimately selling before SV delivers after 20-30 years.

    This is the way it should be! I believe that Investors should have more input and not feel bullied by advisors! I had to start over this year by firing my advisor and taking the steering wheel on my own!

    The other end of emotional investing fortitude is just as important: when the stock market is exuberant, do you diligently rebalance away from your equity layer into your fixed income layer? If not, you don’t have the asset class allocation most suited to you.

    question for the sake of learning ? what happens to the 4% rule in today's down market, whether one is 30-40-50-60 % bonds? (assuming sombody at 100% stocks is just going on buying)

      @rick038389 Před 4 lety +1

      The 4% rule is the 3% rule today.

    Um marriage isn't the answer since divorce is very expensive. And being miserable in a marriage isn't healthy either. So be honest with yourself and stick with an allocation you can handle. Forget factors and SCV, 100% equities isn't for everyone either. Let's not assume everyone's risk tolerance is the same as the market.
