In this vlog, Harvey and I enjoy a day at home in lockdown. We walk to a local woodland and crag that we've never been to before, I make baked porridge for breakfast, he builds our training room and I do lots of cooking! It's a very chilled day, and one that is likely to be more common from now on...

I hope those two boys ( Harvey and Oslo) know how mind bogglingly lucky they are , stone mullioned windows, baked oats , stunning walks , oh... and Athena at their side , fab-u-lous dream!

Great video! Basically what we've been doing all these funny days - when not sitting in the home office - either cooking/eating or chasing the dog in the woods.
Lovely to see where I played as a child. Originally from High Green so an expedition over to the crags was often on the cards. Where you had coffee was our den-making area! :)
Nice to see some shots of the birds. I’ve been spending a lot of time garden bird watching recently, to help pass the time.

Hi Athena, Wharncliffe crags are where I learned to climb in the 70s, they were at the forefront of British rock climbing starting in the 1880s, on a lot of the climbs you can still see the scars from the hob nail boots. Lovely video again as they all are, had a binge viewing weekend 😂

I wish we lived so close to Peaks, yesterday was my Birthday and normally we spend it around Glossop every year...this year we can't and it is a bit sad. Loved this, perfect start to the weekend. I've been baking more too recently - chocolate cake and flapjacks which last about 1 day between me, my powerlifter son and his girlfriend 😊. Missing the hills but I will walk to a meadow tomorrow morning - it's a great opportunity to explore what's on the 'doorstep'. Have been trying to find decent headbands - will look up Kooky, thank you for the hint! 👍

Great video as always Athena. I went for a run at Dovestones Res the other day only to find it had all been shut down with road blocks and police blocking it all- not just the car park for cars (which i could understand) but for people on foot as well. We have to look after our mental health so much right now so I really don't get making nature 'out of bounds'. Your vids are a good mental boost though- thank you!!! ✌
Jah I must say I agree with you there. Sad to see lots of outdoor places closing when we all need them to stay mentally healthy. I hope you can find somewhere else to run! Pots & Pans on the other side of the road makes a great hike/run!!

Athena, this is another beautiful video. Thank you so much. Your excellent narrative and photography and videography beautifully show what a wonderful part of the world you are in and definitely lift the spirit.
As for negative comments, I know they can be very intrusive and damaging. I had one once ( i have 15,000 followers) and it really shocked me and it took some time to cope with it and understand why some people can be so critical or indeed cruel. I suppose you have to realise that if you throw open a view of your life you are going to get some twisted and nasty person say something negative. It seems a negative comment has a much bigger impact than all the good ones. There is no easy answer to this but I suppose you have to just accept it and block individual and take it as part of the job. Actually check out James Blunt’s approach who had major exposure a few years back and took a hell of a lot of stick, but his responses were just epic. Check them out. Final point, just be careful to not reveal details of where you live. All the very best and keep on keeping on.

These vlogs are relaxing to watch. Fortunately I’m surrounded by hills wedged between Bodmin and Dartmoor so it’s easy to escape for an hour to take my dog. Oslo is lovely. I’m thinking of getting another dog what’s his breed?
Paul Wright Oslo is a Trailhound, a rescue dog from the Lake District. He is such a lovely temperament. My brother who passed away got him from Dogs Trust. There is a Facebook group called Trailhound Welfare that have rescue ones 😊

I think I seen in another video that you used free from gluten flour. Is your sourdough starter and bread gluten free? If so I would really appreciate if you could share where your recipe is from? My wife is ceoliac and I've been looking for a good gluten free sourdough recipe and your bread in another video looked amazing. Love your videos and enjoyed watching them over lock down when I couldn't get out on the hills.
