For those who are not Indian's, definately that Neem drink is not recommended as a snack, it's taken for its medicinal and health values and not a usual drink.

I lived in India for 6 months. I love the cashew sweet with foil and I agree that gulab jamun (along with jalebi) is the sweetest thing I've had my whole entire life. Muruku is awesome, and amul milk is such a favorite. I would stand by roadside to eat pav bhaji with bun/bread too!!

I live just about as far from Singapore as you can get, in central New Jersey, but I really appreciate these videos because I just got a huge Indian supermarket nearby and these videos help me to know what I should buy there. It really helps a lot.
Loved this video! Also a small suggestion, you can chop some tomatoes onion and coriander mix them together add some lemon juice and salt and put a spoonful of this mixture on each papaddoms, it tastesssss so gooddddddd
That sounds almost exactly the way I make my summer salsa when the tomatos are ripe. I’ll have to look for these chips and try this, it sounds good!

I believe it is a black naped oriole... listening to acid house. A very beautiful common bird in Singapore. Some bird species will mimic emergency sirens or other bird like sounds in their urban environment so its not entirely impossible that this bird is literally mimicking electronic music.
A 20rs. pack of kurkure and aalu bujia namkeen with tea, in the evening, at terrace with family talking to each other is an amazing feeling.

I can see the thought process behind it, though. Get it all "down the hatch" as fast as possible to minimize any potential taste. Tongue can only taste so much all at once!

Neem juice is a medicine. It is not for regular consumption. It can be toxic if consumed regularly.
Also, Neem is not an indigenous plant of India.
For all people that wonder what soan papdi tastes and Texture feels like, imagine something between biscuittes or cookies and cotton candy, fine some thing right between those two lines, but it tastes like condensed milk and a lot of dry fruits.
You can also taste rose water in it, depends on the flavour though
Cardamom is also present and has a loud presence in soan papdi.

I was just waiting for for your reaction for neem juice. During lockdown for immunity I started chewing neem leaves on daily basis and it was so bitter it's taste remains in my mouth for almost 6hr. This hardly lasted 3 days 😂

@@isckoniover3129 it is not a medicine. It has medicinal properties. Many Healthy people also drink it to get more healthy like avocado (Except that it is hundred times bitter). Since in India people are not that inclined towards drinking a bitter juice, Its supply is limited to chemist stores hence most of the people relate it to medicine

3:59 Soan papdis are definitely my favorite. When I was in Singapore, I used to get these all the time because they reminded me Turkish pişmaniye back at home. Not to mention that I grew up in pişmaniye capital of the country! Very delicious (well, sugary), and interesting texture as those little individual "hairs" melt in your mouth. It's very similar to dragon beard candy, although I prefer dragon beard or pişmaniye over soan papdi due to the simplicity of the latter two.

Its called kachi lassi(Punjabi knows that well) if we add only milk(cold) in it and if we add water is known as roohfza
I love that Soan Papdi! It's not overbearingly sweet, the cardamom is so delicious, and it really is so flaky it's almost like cotton candy!
The gulab jamun are really really good, but they ARE super sweet. It reminds me of a donut hole, but the glaze is like a syrup instead of glazing it.
This makes me want to go back over to my own local Indian store! There's so many goodies to find!
Try having the rasgullas... They are like sweet white balls dipped in Sugar syrup... If u love deserts, u are to love it.

As an Indian it feels really great to see almost any traditional Indian snacks doesn't have any preservatives or chemicals in them
