Roti base pizza is getting popular here as an "healthier" option. Some shops only sell roti base you if you need traditional bread base then you need to pay extra. Lol. The roti or naan base one doesn't taste the same but making it at home sure helps with time and use extra stuff without throwing them away.

You just need to boil rice, lentils( I use moong dal) salt and half a teaspoon of turmeric together till it is mushy. I use a pressure cooker for this stage. You can have it plain like this when you are sick. I squeeze a bit of lime especially when my tastebuds or on a strike cos of the medicines.
P.S. if you want it bit more elaborate. Then after boiling the rice, lentil etc, you need to give a tadka. I use ghee, mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves and mixture of dry coconut and black pepper.

U can find various naan pizza varities in specially Pizza focused indian resturants/food outlets!
The khaman dhokla is sweetened with sugar syrup, so yr bottoms would get wet. There is a nice tadka (spice mix) on it which adds lovely flavor And ofcourse the spicy 🔥 chilli too!! One of my fav items 😃 to eat 😋

Dhokla is definitely a moist cake, perhaps more moist since liquids go to the bottom when heating but it's not just water from the freezing process. I've also had it served to me fresh with chutneys or green sauces (cilantro based I believe) and it's the best thing on the entire planet. I could eat Dhokla every day and never get bored. I love it so much.

I've been making naan and pitta bread pizzas with tandoori chicken for years. I also make butter chicken pies which my kids absolutely love! Indian fusion food is a great introduction to Indian food.

Well, It's a No in most of Indian households as we have huge culture of having freshly cooked meal...That's why these pre-cooked, packed, highly processed & frozen items didn't sold well when introduced here in indian market in past. Even powder mixture that come in supermarkets to easy prepare desserts & some cuisines..aren't preferred by most homes in India coz it don't taste like authentic home-cooked Indian food. Lol, Even almost of our shop/street/outside foods r all freshly cooked from scratch but developed countries who've habit of consume highly processed, frozen, months old pre-cooked packed items for convenience due to laziness or lack of time..Consider ours as sickening 😶
In india We usually prepare food and consume these foods immediately keeping more than 24 hours considered as unhealthy freshly prepared food is everything in india.preserving food means pickle,sweets,morabba few other kinds are there.still consuming prepared food within 12 hours is must rule we follow.

Shrikhand is literally curd without excess water . It's one of best non-fatty deserts to have. Khichdi is eaten along with dhaniye chutney , aloo chokha ,biagan bharta and papad with GHEE definitely added

The liquid in dhokla is normal. It's meant to be moist due to sugar syrup which is poured on top of freshly cooked dhokla.
