    Ahsoka's eyes changing for a split second reminded me of the scene in LOTR where Frodo offered the Ring to Galadriel. She showed what she would become and then rejected the Ring. Ahsoka rejected the Dark Side and came back as Ahsoka the White.

    I also don't think that she redeemed Anakin at the end. I think she finally understood what he was trying to tell her and when she did Anakin stopped. He is the balance of the force, both light and dark so he can draw on both to teach her what she needs to learn. He finished her training by essentially saying, don't dwell in the past anymore, move forward without guilt or shame...live. Doubt, fear, anger, these lead to the dark side. She finally let go of her anger, her fear, her regret and her doubt. That is also why he said, there is hope for you yet. If her eyes turned yellow like the Sith, which I am not completely sure happened, it is because for that brief moment she had given in to all of the things that lead to the dark side, it is also why his facial expression changed because for that moment he thought that he had failed her. When she stopped, he stepped back and became the lightside Anakin again and smiled. He knew that he had finally gotten through to her, he hadn't failed her again. That is what made the moment so profound. Perhaps it reads as something different to everyone but from a storytelling stand point this makes more sense to me considering her history both with him and without him.

      THIS. Anakin is now the balance in the force. He has the full power of the force and bends it to his will. He is the force. And yet..... In a way, it's yet another tragedy and horribly missed plot point of Episodes 7-9. The force is supposed to be balanced now. Period. Palpatine was dead and Anakin is now the Father and the siblings all wrapped up in one being. It doesn't mean that evil cannot rise again or that the Sith couldn't build back up. I like the idea of Exegul for sure. There's also Korriban. But 7-9 should've been completely about Luke and him training up someone to take his place. I couldn't care less about Rey. Terribly written character. Now, if she had been under Luke, if she'd been there when Kylo Ren destroyed the temple, gotten separated or taken hostage and sold into slavery.... There's a place we can truly get excited about. I have no problem with female characters and would've been super excited and interested about a plot like that. But Rey's beginning and her journey as it was written is just so boring and completely unbelievable.

But she wanted to give up she see’s the fighting as endless and knows whats coming with Thrawn. Anakins gives her the fight back, the want to keep going. Utterly brilliant episode.

    This moment also contributes nicely to the main story in Ahsoka. Baylan keeps alluding to Ahsoka’s troubled past, her former master, and the dark potential in her that she shared with Anakin (which was also a theme in Clone Wars and why she ultimately left the Jedi Order). I suspect this is what caused her to pull back from completing Sabine’s training also. But now that is behind her and she can move forward with conviction. Well done! Bring on episodes 6 - 8!❤

    Live or Die is basically Anakins way of compelling Ahsoka to finally make a decision. Since season 5 of the clone wars, Ahsoka has been stuck in the same place. On the fence. Not fully committing to anything. Not to being a Jedi. Not to being a master.
    Many people who undergo traumatic events end up stuck neither moving on with their lives (living). It's kinda like, if you ain't gonna choose to live then might as well die.
    So Ahsoka finally moves on, finishes her training, embraces being a Jedi master in both senses. She's ready.

    I loved the metaphor of the sith eyes on ashoka. It shows that yes, even after all that trauma, she had chosen to overcome her anger and insecurities. Anakin here is trully the anakin we have all waited for this is the true chosen one. He can use both dark and light and revert. Anybody else notice that even tho he had sith eyes, he held back on ahsoka when he had her pinned? Even as vader, his movement was not emotional and heavy like it was with obiwan. He was a lot more precise, like watching a true sith lord. So no ahsoka didn't beat him. He was teaching her like every other great master. You watch anime you see this more lol

  • @VanAnon51

    Ahsoka and Luke have become full fledged Jedi masters. They both had to face the darkness within, each towards Anakin, and they rejected it, something which Anakin did at the last moment to save his son. The strength of Luke and love for his father redeemed Anakin, and so too did Ahsoka redeem Anakin when she rejected the dark side thus making him a successful teacher, and also the legacy of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan down to Ahsoka. The circle ⭕️ was now complete, and Ahsoka could now train her own apprentices. Anakin also showed that he himself became the greatest of all Jedi masters.

  • @gr6gh
    @gr6gh Před 9 měsíci +2

    Anakin simply trained Ashoka based on what he believed was holding her back once she mention his Vader descent, he realized “thats what this is all about” so he goes into vader mode. All of it was a lesson. Anakin is either the mortis god or something like it as he can balance both the light and dark

  • @Badboyben1422
    @Badboyben1422 Před 9 měsíci +4

    This reminds of a comment I made about why Count Dooku, if he was younger, would've been the most powerful force user in the Galaxy because he is one the most balanced characters in the SW Universe, thats why he never had true Yellow Sith eyes when he embraced the Dark Side. His eyes became Red, like the Son from Mortis, and even while he embraced using the Dark Side, he still exerted a control over it, never letting the Dark Side get the better of him or throw off his balance. So I think/thought what Anakin was showing Ahsoka was the balance of the Force itself, that if you are not balanced, then the force inside of you is not balanced. Like with Yoda, the Dark Side is part of the Force and you cannot simply disregard it.

    In a lot of Star Wars content there has been an increasing amount of examples of balance in the force. The Bendu, the father from Mortise, and the whole Anakin as being the one to bring balance. This balance means that one has to incorporate some of the dark side that is part of the force. Giving into the dark side completely leads to disastrous consequences but acknowledging that everyone has darkness within them that needs to be addressed I think is what balance looks like.
    Even Yoda had to face his own darkness that was within him in the last season of the clone wars.
    We even seen the evidence of darkness in Grogu when he force choked Cara Dune

Then she was hunted down by a sociopath for a year, who hunted, maimed, and murdered her friends. She was pulled into a civil war. She was assaulted by Snoke. She found out her parents were murdered by her grandfather who also it turns out is the most evil human being in the galaxy. A man who enslaved entire species and had whole planets destroyed. And he was one of the most powerful Sith lords to ever exist. She thought she killed Chewie. She was tormented by visions of her falling to the darkside. She felt Leia die. She felt and saw her parents murdered through the weapon that killed them.

      @@Marvolo14it is indeed quite some hardship but not anywhere comparable to Ahsoka or even your common Jedi Knight
      Ahsoka and almost all Jedi are collected from their families from when they’re toddlers and taught how to fight
      Ahsoka participated in the Clone Wars and acted as a commander on the actual battlefield as a child, she was only 14 when she was assigned to Anakin, a master whom taught her by a simple ideology “live or die” knowing only siths deal in absolutes. She wasn’t only a child soldier but a child general/commander, imagine fighting at 14-17 The most fearsome cybernetic monstrosity that is renewed to slaughted dozens of Jedi aka General Grievous (twice even), a sith assassin descending from a planet of witches aka Ventress (twice again), the tyrant leader of a barbaric Mandalorian Tribe that ignited villages (Pre Visla) and fighting a formed SITH LORD aka Darth Maul only at the age of 18 and managing to capture him and free a whole planet…
      not to mention her order betraying her and managing to escape the whole republic aka simulating a whole Order 66 on her own but worse bc Clones are much higher quality tham Storm Troppers
      and her surviving in the wild without any weapon against a Thardoshian (I think that was the name) tribe and managing to kill their leader and escape the planet at 16
      and all of that just during the Clone Wars.
      Not to mention everything that came after…especially the actual order 66….She’s a warrior and a War Veteran, the most appropiate definition of a Prodigy as well.

    Finally someone else addresses that a red lightsaber wouldn't turn your eyes yellow with reflection, if anything they would be magenta or purple. I checked the scene frame by frame today and took screenshots into photoshop to compare. You can see her blue eyes while she holds the saber to Anakins throat, as the camera slowly zooms in the saber remains where it is and her eyes change to yellow, but no red around them like normal Sith Eyes, instead the yellow is surrounded by black. Only then does she move closer to the saber and it lights up her face, which is where people mistake it for reflection as they miss the change a second or two before.

    to be honest i think that lesson was that Anakin is part of her legacy and his dark side too, and she needs to make a peace with that and live on. and that moment she dont kill anakin shows that she embrace it and dont cut him out from her legacy and choose to live with it. Because its pretty clear that Anakin tells her that her legacy is his knowledge and so on. And that moment she declines that legacy because death and war is part of that and Anakin getting angry because she cant accept it and live on. And the moment when her lightsaber is at dark anakins throat, she accept that dark anakin is also part of her legacy and she choose to live with it

      @@kenknowlton3085 I don’t know… we could look at it and say or think a lot of dramatic things that she was going through or we could be just overthinking it. I think it was just the fact that it was a red or orange light saber in her face. And yeah, she was grimacing, she was being pushed down with a light saber in her face.

    I’ve always believed this about the force, that there is no good or bad, light or dark sides of the force. The force is benign. The dark or light, bad or good comes from the one wielding the force. Every being is capable and has inside both darkness and light. The balance is up to each individual. That is the weakness of both the Sith and Jedi is that they believe it’s the force that is dark or light rather than looking within themselves and realizing they possess both and it’s always a battle of balance. Both have advantages and disadvantages. It’s always that internal struggle , discipline and choice that each must recognize.

    Dave didn’t do all of TCW. Him and Lucas both did. Lucas just had ideas of what he wanted to happen in the show. Dave just honored it. Not saying Dave wasn’t in charge at all, but he wasn’t the only one. Lucas was involved. Just not with season 7. He forsaw everything that happened in season’s 1-6.

    This is an apt story for the current climate. People are swinging wildly right or left and looking at each other like enemies. It need not be such with sufficient understanding and compassion. When the media or political institutions are just looking out for their own skin & profits, we do not necessarily have to follow their lead.

    this is the closest theory to the lesson ive heard that matches my own. I don't believe the lesson is about living and dying and never giving up, I don't think she would give up anyway, she had that chance before then went back to the fight, we saw this this tales. I think the lesson is one qui-gon needed to teach anakin. as ani said, they need to change with the times. Ashoka needs to learn to embrace her dark leaning and know that it doesn't mean she has to be a dark side user; nuance. using dark elements doesn't mean a fall, this is why when she mentioned it he said "back to the beginning", because that's not the point. there is a point made in one of the jedi games where cal mentions that using a blaster is crude or someone how against the jedi way because it's about killing, but he ends up with one in game 2. change with the times, just because something is dark doesn't mean your fall. that's my theory

    Yes, her eyes went yellow/red, whether that was a graphic shift from cool blue to warm red unintentionally turning the light blue highlight to yellow, or it was an intentional choice to make them Sith like, I don't know. Probably the latter because Anakin's eyes turn red, not yellow, which tells me the Mortis Son is in him, Not Sith. Does Anni become the Father/Balance, or the son? Doesn't make sense he would be the son.

    My only issue with a clone wars live action is they would need to tell it from someone's story we dont know yet, I mean a Baylen origin story might do the trick. Wish the actor didn't pass away. It's unreal how interesting he is, I honestly believe he was taking it easy on her because he really didn't want to kill her until she attacked his padawan, can you blame him? Seems more like defense at that point

    I think it was the real Anakin as a Force Ghost. On the one hand in the world of the Force he naturally seems to be mpre real than in the physic world. On the other hand. As he accepted all the parts of his personality he can give Ahsoka the image she needed. If she needed an image of Darth Vader he could give it to her. A real Darth Vader would never give her a victory by his own will to let Ahsoka make a choice. And he gives Ahsoka a knolege how to make together all the parts of her personnality, how to live with the dark part of the soul and not to be a monster. The knoledge he payed by his life and death.
