- When it comes to the Nintendo Switch there are HUNDREDS of controllers out there. These two pack the punch I am looking for. While I have many and I mean many controllers, these two cover every base COMPLETELY

Love the Pro Controller. Getting the SNES NSO Controller tomorrow and looking forward to using that for some retro titles 😎
DUDE its a dream
I use the Power A nano pro controller. Even though it's small, it doesn't really matter when I'm already a few minutes into the game.
Ohhhh poggers. I didn't know that feature existed for my favorite controller
I only have two controllers and its a perfect combo. The nintendo swtich pro controller for everything 3d or any game that uses analog sticks. 40 hous battery life, amazing buttons, best ergonomic shape, HD rumble. And 8bit-do sn30pro for 2d games and retro titles.
This video helped me soooooo much! After using joycons exclusively for over a year, I’ve finally decided to pick up the Nintendo pro controller. I agree that the 8bitdo controller feels like the better controller in many ways, but as someone who is a sucker for rumble, I’ll go for the official one this time! It’s a tough choice since third party controllers are amazing these days!
My 8bitdo pro 2 gameboy edition!
What do you think of the Mobapad Chitu controllers?
I chose to have both lol. Love the pro controller but it’s not great for playing my pc games. The customization the 8bitdo has with the software is great and the full trigger pull is nice for the games that use it, and the back buttons are nice, it could use two more I think. If you can have both I recommend it
I really like the Ultimate Controller, but what ultimately (no pun intended) makes me pick up the Pro Controller is the face buttons. It’s a personal preference obviously, but the soft and mushier buttons on the Pro controller make longer play sessions more comfortable. The Ultimate ones aren’t as hard as the Xbox controller, but I still prefer what the Pro Controller offers.
That said, if I need a good D-Pad, I’ll pick up one of my 8BitDo controllers, including the Ultimate. The one in the Pro Controller is so awful.
Ultimate controller has by far the best D-Pad next to the SNES controller. I totally agree with you though. Pro controller feels right
Hey Julien, would you recommend either of these controllers for EA Sports FC 24 ?
So many interesting controllers out there pro controllers and joy con alternatives . But only official controllers support HD rumble so that's my mind made up . I'm not compromising my gaming experience when the official controllers work just fine
Julien, I wonder if you have any suggestions on a d pad joy con? I love to play Hollow Knight on my OLED, but I have yet to find a proper d pad joy con (other than my Switch Lite d pad). The Hori split pad doesn't offer HD rumble, which is a deal breaker for me. Other than that, I can't find any other options.
I did a custom joycon shell that has a dpad it’s pretty good and it’s a gameboy shell

I have never met a "major" third party controller that when priced similarly isn't leagues better than a first party controller. Exclusion possibly to the PS5, I still need more time with it.
Also if Valve makes a controller from the steam deck controller, that I will use with everything.
Oh, also third party controllers almost always have Hall sensors... so yeah. Third party for the win.
yea it is pretty impressive what 8bitdo can do
What model of monitor do you have on the desk behind you? 3:40 , LG C1 ??
LG c2
@@julienmelnickhow many inches ?
42 I believe or 43 whatever that model is@@user-jc7ws4bq4b
Are these controllers compatible with the Nintendo switch lite?
yup
did u need to hold home button on the pro?
sometimes yea
@@julienmelnick what happens to me sometimes is when I push another button the controller takes a sec or two to sync but stops after, if I try to push home at that moment it will not work and I need to wait for those secs to pass, but if I push a brief push on home it starts directly ... sorry for my bad english
What is your game monitor ??
Its an LG C2 42"
OOOh Nice OELD....@@julienmelnick
Fuck the controllers, I want to know about those lightsabers!
hahaha they are the Ahsoka Lightsabers from Disneyland
I wanted to love the 8bit do pro controller over the Switch Pro but the grips are just too short. My hands feel cramped or fall asleep on longer play sessions. I'm also a sucker for the HD rumble.
I really like the pro 2 controller tbh
@@julienmelnick I love the Pro 2 especially the Dpad. The 8bitdo ultimate was the one I meant between that and the Switch Pro
Nice review)
I'm going to buy my first switch controller and most likely i will probably stop at the original one)
p.s: you have an interesting surname, it is the most common surname here in Ukraine, aren't your relatives from Ukraine?)
My ancestors are from there a few generations back

“Super Nintendo has the best d-pad”
Clearly hasn’t used a Wii Classic controller or a Gameboy Micro
Current D-Pads. the Wireless SNES controller from Nintendo
@@julienmelnick well, they aren’t current, but I’m pretty sure you can use both on a Switch, using Inside Gadgets’ wireless Gameboy controller for the Micro and 8Bitdo’s G-Bros adapter for the Wii Classic
