What a great visual comparison! In her senior debut her axel was actually quite good, by the Olympics she lost a lot of height and was really struggling with it. Despite several falls this season, she has improved her height and speed. As her confidence grows with the new technique I can see it becoming a very secure jump for her in the coming seasons.
A wonderful document. Probably for now one of the biggest journeys for her. It is such a rollercoster to see it like this. Her other worst jump through her senior years, it was never great but it deteriorated incredibly by last season, she was willing it through sheer determination and to see it resurrect in a few months and with way better technique is amazing.

The way she almost hit the boards at 3:57 just proves how much this jump of hers evolved. It became bigger and higher.
