Actors don't deserve ANY of the hate, they actually TRIED to save the whole thing! Bless em!
not only tried to save it, did this while enduring abuse and a lot of disappointed people and knowing they probably weren't going to get paid.
They tried harder than I would've. I couldn't take the faces of those dissappointed children

This wasn’t just “oversold” by slightly exaggerated marketing. This was a pure scam by a con-artist. Billy Coull, the CEO of this company, also sells books on Amazon purely generated from AI. It is a good thing this event is getting such a high level of attention as maybe it will get the police watching closer over this scammer before more people lose money.
Yup. They knew what they were doing. This wasn't £1 entry or family for £10 or something. £35 is enough for a ticket to most theatre shows or theme parks. There is no excuse for this nothing of a show.
That's so sickening. He was also a "business guru" and "life coach" as well. But he is a total con artist...Has zero sense of self awareness and lacks absolute morality. He should never open any single business, ever.
If it was a quid i dont thiunk anyone really would have had much issue with it. i mean it still would have been a lie but for a quid u couldn't really complain. but 35 is just insane i could see 3 movies for that or have a day at a real theme park.

I was actually worried about the girl dressed as the Oompa Loompa… having her picture spread all over the world would have been shocking. I’m glad they both have a good sense of humour about it. And being in Glasgow they can truly see how funny it could be. Love from Canada!
Hoping she cashes in on being a meme at least.
She seems to have a good sense of humor about it. I think that's the best part... But making money off of it would be nice. I don't think the even got paid to do it.

Man, i feel for these actors. I hope they get something good in the future. They made the best of the situation they could
I've worked on a site where we've hosted a number of events like this : from themed street food restaurants, to Santa's grottoes, to drive in cinemas, and I can confirm that at each and every event its all kept "in house" the hiring of staff, and nearly always cash-in-hand with payment made at the end of the day, or at the end of event. They didn't stay "for the kids"; they stayed because they hadn't been paid. And as soon as the event was done they never stuck around to apologise, they went to the pub to have a laugh about it. Also there stories just don't track : either they were told to dress appropriately, or they were given costumes; either they left after the event, or they left at break and came back. These two are liars, plain and simple. I'm guessing they're mates with the scammer who ran the event too. This is what damage limitation looks like.
@@bigpauliep6992 you've misunderstood being told to do their own makeup with not being given costumes, and you've concocted a conspiracy theory around it.

The proportion of this event worldwide is insane. I don't think something like this has ever happened before.
All the stars just seemed to align with this event. The greedy, incompetent organizers, the AI generated script and advertising, the parents who captured pictures and video of the event at the PERFECT moments. It's amazing.

Word. It's kind of annoying
I thought it was funny and just added to the whole thing so we’ll.
I think because the interviewees were very engaging so they didn't want to take the limelight. They can be a bit cringe when they're trying to be fun so probably for the best anyway.
One of the them is a barrister who somehow became a TV host. I guess TV pays better than the fees for any legal representation...
They were lost in pure imagination
Those actresses deserve like a medal of honor or something. I know everyone on that set probably wanted to walk out and the only thing keeping them there was the attempt to give the kids a good show. Also, that picture does NOT do Kirsty justice - she's so pretty in real life. Of all the photos to go viral, the internet really picked the worst one. That would be driving me up the wall haha
If anything is remembered from this, it's that the actors really tried their best and that needs to be commended!

mad respect for the girl who wasn't at all swayed from being an oompa loompa again. That's pure oompa loompa attitude to me.
If he charged a fiver he’d have probably got away with it honestly. But 35 per person that’s crazy, if you went as a family that adds up. You can get an Alton towers ticket for around that price.
Most people don't live near Alton towers, so would cost hundreds to get there and back. How would that be cheaper for people who live in Glasgow? Are they going to walk?
@@robg4729 not everyone lives near Glasgow either and people traveled here for this event?? what’s you point😂??? Also Its besdies the point, what I’m saying is you can get a ticket to a theme park for this price and they were charging 35 a ticket for this. Im not saying people should have booked an Alton towers ticket, what im saying is how dare the people putting on this event charge this price and provide this when theres other places out there for family’s that cost similar and you get so much more! Even if it’s not what they intended and were let down last minute they shouldn’t have let it go ahead and should have given refunds asap. I’m simply just showing a comparison and how much these people were let down.
Your comparison is nonsense though, how were people from Glasgow or nearby meant to get to alton towers and back and buy a ticket for £35? It's irrelevant to people in Glasgow what you can get 300 miles away, unless you can teleport.
@@robg4729 It’s very obvious that I was just comparing one of the UKs most popular family event parks to this event, there is multiple examples I could have used I just chose Alton towers. They were charging a similar price to a place like that and provided little to nothing.
@@LucyAnna7384 wow, what an insight, I'd have never have know unless you pointed that out. It's only been across every news channel for the past week for being a complete rip off. That's the entire reason it's been in the news, but here you are, just making sure we all know that.
