so they weren’t lying when they said this would make the concept for the future game. notice that the salmonids are on chaos’ side, and we have a little mini salmonid in the splatoon 3 trailer. i think the salmonids could perhaps be in more of the main storyline. if order won, what would happen to the octarians? would we have a little octarian pet like the small fry? would it explore more in the octarian lore? either way, i hope in splatoon 3 we both get to explore more of the story for both octarians and salmonids.

I can't believe this was two years ago...this was the best splatfest in Splatoon 2 by far for me.
It was 4 now. I remember those slick colors. I think on one of my old busted switches I still have some cool clips from it. 4 years ago. Wow. I’ve been playing this game for just under 6 years. One of my most played and longest played games right behind Minecraft. Time definitely flies.

@Ironwolf 1 we could see it as a clash of two approaches for the next game:
One is adopting a minimalist stance, reducing quantity in favor of quality, polishing gameplay and creating a clean, perfected, balanced gaming experience.
The other could be exploring new ideas, opting for more variation customization and bringing different ideas that weren't thought before despite of an imbalance risk.
Both could improve the game on their own way
It Just Works isn't it the other way around? Like order is a strict system where nothing changes and chaos is the absence of rules and full freedom (so I guess it can lead to this "nothing exists")?
Chaos is a risky place, order isn’t woken up. Cosmos is the only reason I gotta love social media.
Ironwolf 1 order is basically the same except people have less freedom and less responsibility for themselves. Just as selfish, but not random, and everything it does is for the sake of upholding this order. Also at very least chaos builds new order, usually better then an old one.

I just thought while watching that Pearl's colour is gold, kind of like the Splatlands are a sandy region, and was curious if Marina winning would've meant a snowy region, then I watched it again and actually noticed they did the whole Chaos - fire/heat and Order - snow/cold theme with the sound effects and background animations. Now with Side Order making Spla2's plaza look like both a snowy place and underwater that gives even more credence to the whole Chaos-heat Order-cold theme, I guess.

Yeah but what story could they do with order? With chaos there are so many possibilities for stories and aesthetics, with order the only thing I can think of is if the order is too controlling and you have to stop it so everyone can be free and honestly that plot line has been done to death everywhere.

@@moolydamoo2267 There are a lot of stories, to be told and even more if we fall in the cliche that "order" always come in the form of authoritarian regimes.
@@djkleb7645 The fact that Tartar and agents 3 and 8 are both there would probably imply an even bigger campaign featuring almost all the protagonists with heavy lore implications.
Though the game isn't out yet, Chaos seems to flesh out characters (Octavio presumably working with the protagonist) while Order is to flesh out the world and lore (Tartar being able to share his thousands of years of knowledge, talking more about the professor).
It just depends on what you value more, character growth or world building.
I wished Order won IMO, seeing all the protagonists of 1, 2, 2DLC, and 3 would be an amazing treat. Also there's so many mysteries about the world of Splatoon that getting more info about it would never be bad at all.
Plus most maps would probably be chrome or white themed which makes turf wars so much more satisfying with the colors.

Adam Rhodes yeah. I got octo expansion so I like the telephone and sanitized Enemies. The cool thing would be whatever story we don’t get. It’s a dlc for later on.
