I did. Just recently, in fact. Showed dad this very video, starting at Nasty Majesty.
Keep in mind that I'm in my mid-30's and my dad is a freelance composer with a heavy focus on ambient/atmospheric and classical sounds.
He...was super supportive and willing to go along with me. But he thinks it's super weird and doesn't get the appeal, what, with them being cartoons and the warbly voices and all. XD

I love how during half of the show Pearl is doing the weirdest and most random things. Especially when she isn't singing. It's like a 2 year old who wants to dance but are slightly hesitant to.

I don't see anyone else commenting on this but...A team choreographed and animated ALL OF THEIR DANCE MOVES AND THEY'RE SO FLUID AND NATURAL! I know that's a thing for all vocaloid concerts but like with these two there's the added challenge of projecting their individual personalities through the way they move (for example Marina is a lot of fluid hip motion while Pearl is all hype and energy with her added hand, head, and foot movements). And then, they still manage to sync up with each other and seem like an actual performing duo with chemistry. Like, HOW MUCH WORK WENT INTO THIS?!
The moment where Pearl and Marina start a wave at 26:03 always gets me, I just remember how Splatoon came out of nowhere in 2014-15 as a brand new IP, and now the idols are on a real stage with an entire audience waving their hands in unison :)

There is something about octo expansion songs that ALWAYS tear me up,,,, I loved Splatoon 2 so much, though I love Deep cut and the Squid Sisters, Off the hook will always, and forever, be the best band to me. From what I could tell, according to the story in Splatoon 3, they went off to another city and joined up with another band to form a bigger band. I could be wrong as the information was vague. But I agree. I hope we see Pearl and Marina again in the future. They are the best!

After watching splatoon 3's concert, came back here again to rewatch the memories splatoon 2 gave me 🥺, can't wait to see how splatoon 3 concert in the future would be as hype as this! ❤️

Confession: I would KILL to see an event similar to this in celebration of Nintendo's 150th anniversary (2039), using the same holographic projections and a similar band, but as a massive crossover celebration event hosted by Mario, Isabelle and Kirby, with various other Nintendo characters coming on stage to perform remixed versions of popular Nintendo songs. Here's a list of ideas (Note: All characters who are confirmed to know how to talk will do so - all others will communicate as implied in the games):

It's very odd if you think about the influence of games like Half Life have contributed to the making of Splatoon.
I know that it's an odd comparison, but like the innovations of the films The Wizard of Oz and The Jazz Singer are still able to be observed in films from Lawrence of Arabia to Avengers Endgame, you can see some notable staples from those games made so long ago even in Splatoon.
