It's because historical Yasuke barely had any battles to his name. I mean, he existed, sure, but I doubt anyone can actually name a single famous battle that he actually fought in.

Frankly, I think the entire world might've been better off had Nobunaga achieved his goal.
He was a visionary, and many leaders could have followed his example.
How can you say that? Nobunaga was kind of a brutal monster and made many mistakes that led to his downfall. Besides, had Nobunaga become Shogun and united all of Japan under his rule, who's to say worse things wouldn't have happened? Tokugawa Ieyasu was pretty intelligent, patient, stretegic, etc. He endured many failures before finally becoming Shogun, and Japan experienced 200 years of great peace and prosperity.

Sure they stood by morals in those days nothing like a Geneva convention but nothing was gonna stop the Oda’s ambition
Even if it meant slaughtering warrior monks and their families on sacred grounds, it was a doggy dogs world and he had seen the event horizon, his downfall was just unimaginable at best for him but for most it was expected.
If this show stayed grounded with its soundtrack would of been a masterpiece
not a fan of mechs and russian werewolves but the OST is wut will keep me for how ever many seasons come out. Music can really change a show around and im cool with wutever direction they go in. i fully accept it. Look up "Yasuke OST - Crust" my fav track

I also like that here it shows more focus towards Nobunaga and Yasuke's friendship. Yasuke, being still a little unfamiliar with a samurai's way of thinking, is still trying to think of ways that he could save his lord, while Nobunaga has already accepted that he'd meet his death where he stood. A samurai falls with his castle. His ambition ends here, but he knew that it will gave way to those who have similar ambitions. In the end, whether it was him or someone else, he knew that Japan will be unified.
Besides, he already has two people who was ready to inherit those ambitions. Katsuie and Hideyoshi.

I honestly only know nobunaga through the warriors games and stuff. Mainly learned the most with smw5 but I don't even know how historically accurate that is.
Most accurate game to play are the Nobunaga Oda ambition games or The Three Kingdoms games play like Game of Thornes they actually Realistic games Dynasty Warriors Samurai Warriors fate record of Ragorok and sengoku baseball is to make you feel bad ass overpowered gods

This anime really only uses Yasuke as a selling point when in reality, the show itself kinda sidelines him. Plus, it'd also just be generally better if this show didn't exist lol

Congratulations on making the most bland portrayal of Nobunaga ever. Truly, to fail this hard is an achievement. I'm sorry. In a setting _with magic_ why are you trying to say that the _Demon King_ had none? To side with Nobunaga is to power-trip because you're using guns when your enemies are still using swords. That high kind of goes out the window when the enemy has giant robots. Also, there was no laugh and no famous poem. Fail all around. And if you want a bit of sarcasm, good on Yasuke for _stealing Ranmaru's job_

His enemies also had access to mongrels and Cannons. Only reason Nobunaga was also so successful was because of his alliances with the mighty rich Tokugawa clan.

In that day nobody know how nobunaga die but we believe that he kill himself like the anime. Yasuke was there that day too but we dont know that is he really the one who end oda last pain. And the story after that he go to help Nobutada (Nobunaga’s son) but failed , he was capture. mitsuhide ( The one who betray Nobunaga) Said something just like “ He isn’t Japanese so he has nothing to do with us” Than Mitsuhide sent Yasuke to Jesuits and we never found any record about him again...

Well, you can't really blame him. He might think of himself as a "chosen", but at the time of his rise to power people really look at his accomplishments and went like "huh, maybe he is the chosen one".

Gorgeous visuals, decent voice acting, unusual but superb soundtrack by Flying Lotus; nevertheless, the story is plain bad. It tilts towards sci-fi and cyberpunk and that is where it lays its problem. The last three episodes were rushed and the three out of the four mercenaries were killed off too soon. There was so much chemistry. Disappointing. My rating is 5/10.

All the sci-fi and fantasy elements kind of ruined this anime for me, it could have been so much better than the final product we were given.

in history yasuke died in a bridge, he defend nobunagas castle while nobunaga commiting seppuku… he held the bridge for 6 hours killing hundreds of samurai before dying of wounds … the bridge the he is defending is the only way to nobunagas castle… they both died honorably and glorious that night..

None of that is true. He fled to Nobunagas son. When when he was caught he wasn't offered sepukku because he wasn't a samurai. He was returned to the Jesuits who brought him to Japan. They left Japan soon after and he was never heard from again. Fictional tv with Yasuke is fine but this made up history needs to stop

I had intended to judge this anime purely on its portrayal of Nobunaga. So 0/10... So terrible that it actually made me go hunting for better portrayals. Then I discovered Kujaku-Ou/Spirit Warrior, so that worked out rather oddly.
