I think it depends on what phase you're at in your career. If you're early in your career you need to focus on training and I personally think LA is the best place for that - it's like "Boot Camp" for actors, then when you're ready to work move to ATL but don't try to take shortcuts to success. DO the work; go to school; work HARD and push yourself in training - then start working.

Universal Studios Hollywood is literally an entire unincorporated city with it's own fire department; police training academy and it's the place that Steven Spielberg calls "Home" (his offices are on the Universal lower lot). But go ahead, take your pick - Tyler Perry or Steven Spielberg. And universal is only one studio out of six MAJOR studios and if you want an Oscar - guess what, you have to come to Hollywood to get it. They don't do Oscar ceremonies in Georgia.

In the old days people would move to New York to train then move to Hollywood to "get famous". Now LA is the best place to train and ATL is the best place to work.
