Good luck!! Im planning to start in like a year or two, whenever my confidence goes up. Ive been studying and practicing for almost my whole life lol.
i cant wait till quarantine is over because when that happens i’m going to start looking at getting headshots and getting roles in student short films to bulk up my resume

But yeah before I’ve been waiting on everything and telling myself, “oh I can take acting when I’m an adult” but now at 13 I know I have to do something. And I’m not that mad for waiting. I wasn’t planning on acting until like the end of January when are school forced us to pick a career, so there’s nothing I really could have done anyways with quarantine coming in. So by doing research now, then I’ll be ready for my first gig, and may become an actor at 13!

I was shy but it will go away when you start acting. Don’t worry about it! However, you can start or do more classes, practice monologues in front of people, send your monologues to different people. It can even be a family member or someone on yt. This would definitely help! It worked for me so I hope this works for you! Everyone gets shy don’t worry but we have to overcome that fear to succeed. ❤️

When I was 12, I dreamt of being a Hollywood actress, but then I realized there are so many hindrance or something that's just holding me back from reaching my dreams, I let go on my dream on being an actress. But nowwww, Im 14 I found myself back at it again, dreaming to be a Hollywood actress lol

It’s possible to still act! In fact many movies have started filming again you just need to follow the rules : wear mask off set, wash hands , etc.

Thank you for these videos! I'm only 11 right now, and I feel as if i'm behind all of my friends. Most of them have agents and have worked professionally, and all i've done is one or two school plays. I've always loved acting and dancing, and i can sing pretty well *if I do say so myself*-
ANYWAYS, it's been really hard for me, and this advice is greatly appreciated. I almost feel as if i'm starting late? But with these videos, my confidence has been boosted, and I got into one of the best middle schools for the arts here in Florida. I want to keep working and sign up for some acting classes. @@EllisIsVeryExtremelyCool search up more videos like this, get a headshot by a PROFESSIONAL. you can do acting classes and you will want to. Try to get an agent, do not get scammed please, once you find an agent they can get you an audition. make a portfolio for the audition.
i'm so glad to have support from my parents to doing this. right now they're busy with life, but when i'm 14 i'll be able to do acting classes, try to find an agent, and do tons of things to train myself!

I'm 32. Lived in nyc when I was 27 and got a good number of gigs with no agent. Walked away after the toxicity of the industry really came to light. But the bug has been nipping at me again. But, in 32 years, and having had this dream my entire life, legitimately trying to get my "foot in the door" for almost 20 full years, I haven't been able to crack the code of getting an agent. I've been on TV, I've done theater, I've even won an award for my acting. Still can't seem to figure out how to get representation.

If they ask for money upfront then they're scamming you. Remember agents only take 10-15% of what you make. Good luck!
They will sign u and offer u classes often when they are scamming and will ask for money BEFORE doing any work. Dont fall for this pleasee
The best way to remember is that agents get paid when you get paid.

I’ve wanted to get experience and become great since I was about 11 now I am 14 and actually gonna start acting classes there aren’t many places near me and I’ve been trying to find workshops but there are barely any near me. But I’m not gonna give up soon even though I’m not that good. My dream is to act not necessarily to be mega famous but in the future for people to know my name would be really nice. I hope that things work out in my favor and I can actually accomplish the things I want to accomplish even though I’m not known for being very lucky.

Umm if u don’t have an agent and want to find roles search “backstage casting calls” and the u can put ur age, where u live and they will show a few casting calls umm I’ve been doing this for while now but I live in Switzerland so i found a few things but cause of corona it’s kinda hard sooo I didn’t find much but I think u live in the USA so it’s gonna be easier! Honestly, going to acting classes is the best thing. I'm not talking about for a month or until you get signed. I mean keep training and learning. Leonardo DiCaprio who won every award in this business still has an acting coach. People who don't want to learn the acting craft don't belong in this industry.
Go to class (start with technique and audition classes), act in small/student films, get your headshot/resume going, then submit when you're ready. Also do background acting work on union films so you can get your union eligibility ready but that's not as important as class when you're starting. Trying to get an agent without doing any of those things I mentioned is a waste of time and is better spent learning the craft. If luck is opportunity meets preparation, do your part in the latter.

I’m terrified to ask my parents for acting classes, my parents are very chill. But they’re country parents, they’re not strict but I’m scared- I’m not really scared because it’s probably expensive, it’s just I think they won’t support my love for acting-

Don't give up on your dreams. Keep searching on CZcams for now for acting advice and look for online classes. You will grow and learn and when your parents see how much work you're putting in they will be proud.
If your scared why don’t you try starting practicing at home by yourself and showing them your love for acting that way you parents will see your serious about it, parents on using want to waste money so if you show them you’re serious about it and you love it then I’m sure they’d love to help :)

Let's say you want to Act, Write (a TV episode or a feature), Score and Direct, can your talent agency be able to help you get jobs in all these disciplines?
With writing and directing you have to create your own merit by writing and filming short films, agents really only have connections to get you auditions/ parts in film or theachrical
