Jay will be found when the crimes are solved and the criminals start singing.
Scottish Mountain Rescue searching a gorge where Jay never went is a waste of time.
The words attention seeking muppet seem appropriate.
Losing a phone to try and get attention is pathetic.
Paul never went missing. He has been on Facebook regularly. And only thing he is searching for is tik tok gifts. He has no gear at all and no idea how to grid search. Scottish rescue who have been talk to have said they know about a charity he set up but they have no other connection to Paul. And they have no plans to go to Scotland as they would only do so under an official request of the police out there and that won't happen.. I work with mendip cave rescue and have done searches for people in the dark for 28 hours In old mines. I all so film mines my self. On my yt and I am trained in srt and ropes access. First aid certificates the works. I know what I'm talking about trust me. And Paul has not got a clue what he is doing at all. He is just there to show off and cash out sad reality of most tik tokers and vlogers unfortunately.
I agree he seems a liability and unprepared. I served 16 years in the military but I'm no expert in this area. I'll check your channel out and sub. x
Years ago I began helping survey Dos Ojos, in Yucatan, Mexico, which now has turned into a 500 km system, and is still ongoing... I successfully survived in multiple hostile environments, including 10 years in the Swedish Arctic and then 30 something days in the winter mountains of the Scottish Highlands.
I have experienced just enough to be certain that Paul is a fake and a fraud. I cannot help feel he is maybe searching for Jay's missing stash bag, too.

Getting other trained "harsh terrain" mountain rescuers can be a good idea, BUT, if they are from much more temperate/ COOL Scotland, just how will they still be able to work well in MUCH higher temps and humidity, as well as in unfamiliar, harsh terrain?
I ask, because as a teacher, I went from cold Canada to Guangzhou, China, many years ago. Once summer hit, it was BRUTAL. I was teaching in NON-air-conditioned classrooms (that I had to go early to clean before class each day, as the pollution and local construction dust were so severe - every surface was FILTHY!), and since my pay was so low, usually had to walk ~ 45 min. to and from work (taxi rides when late resulted in my being caught in severe big-city traffic jams - barely faster, but MUCH more expensive).
The heat and humidity (and terrible pollution - not relevant to Tenerife) were REALLY hard to deal with, and I was NOT working OUTSIDE, doing hard physical activity/ hiking, etc., in the direct sun & elements.
These differences are REAL, and surely MUST be considered FIRST - even before asking for both foreign and local permission.
It would make more sense to try and engage local mountain rescue teams, and a competent interpreter, IMO.
I lived in Hong Kong for 4 months with the military, and it was such a difference to the UK. Xx So I hear you. X
@@PatriciaGIntuitive369 I was 3.5 yrs in GZ, and then 9+ yrs in HK. I LOVED HK - lived in DB - on Lantau Island - the best of both worlds. Easy access to Central/ HK Island/ party spots, and a vehicle-restricted, graduated-height back from the beach structures/ park-like setting, with wonderful hiking, etc. (including a good mix of different ex-pats, locals, and Mainlanders) The commute DID become a pain, after several years.
Miss it a lot. Discovered that I didn't "like" the high heat and humidity - where your freshly-washed clothes moulded before they dried (if hung to "dry"), but that I HATED the extreme cold/ snow/ ice, etc. (for LIVING - visiting okay). So much for my being a "true" Canuck...!!
As you confirmed, the high heat and humidity ARE real factors to consider., as is the crumbly volcanic rocks & soil.

Highly doubt Police Scotland will be giving the ok for Scottish Mountain Rescue to travel to Tenerife to find a non-Scottish citizen. There are too many folk getting lost/injured in the Scottish mountains, especially at this time of year, for them to get involved even if they wanted to.
In yesterday's The Sun online was an article about the CSI in the Airbnb. In the still image from the film footage used in the background is the same looking make, model and colour of car as the rental car Jay's friends hired, a Seat Leon. The problem of course is by this time the friends had left the island and would presumably have already returned their rental car. Unless that car belongs to the owners of the Airbnb and the friends had borrowed it. It was parked directly in front of the Airbnb and completely blocking the bus stop. almost as if it's had been placed there specifically. It could not have been blocking the bus stop any more even if it was intentionally parked to do so. In fact there are two white Seat Leon looking compact cars in the CSI scene!
the airbnb owner, Roman Canaves, is part of the same drugs gang as Qassim and Vegas. they all work together, so makes sense that Canaves's car would be used by Qassim and Vegas.
remember, Canaves's sister is Ofelia, the ONLY eye witness to say that Jay left that property!

@@Arcticnick sure. Mailonline reported that Ofelia runs the airbnb, but her brother, Roman is the owner. Mailonline reported that Roman refuses to return any phone calls or reply to any messages, basically missing in action, and of course, the Tenerife police have shown no interest in speaking with him.
Roman was mayor of nearby el Tanque, but was dismissed from his post by a court for corruption and misappropriation of funds. Many locals complained that he never went to trial and never got a prison sentence due to his connections high up. A very big, influential family on Tenerife. the Fargas, in Adeje, are pals with Roman, same party (PSOE). it's well known these local mayors get rich from tolerating the drugs trade.
I have zero evidence that Canevas is involved with Vegas and Qassim, but Masca Beach is where so many drugs and people are smuggled in and out. it would just be astounding if Canevas had no idea what Qassim and Vegas were up to. Believe me, he's deep in this and could explain everything.
The corruption in Canaries politics is on a Sicilian scale! I know Gran Canaria better than Tenerife, but as soon as I saw Canevas's name, i knew what was up with all this. My guess is Jay owed big money, was offered a deal of paying them back by being a mule to courier drugs off the island, Jay refused, left, and the gang took care of Jay. searchers need to start looking at the bottom of wells, not in a cactus wilderness!
@@Arcticnick forgot to mention, a lot of the info on this corrupt airbnb owner is in Spanish on sites like Revista Unidad Parlamentaria. I'm British but brought up in Spain and teach Spanish, so fair to say the articles I read in the Spanish press reveal a lot about the key players in the Canaries that don't get reported outside the islands. to sum up, "cuando el dinero habla, la verdad calla" (when the money talks, the truth goes silent)
If Scottish mountain rescue want money ask the family for it they have nearly 50k and don't seem to be paying anyone like they said they would no reward nothing are they saving it for a rainy day.

One of Paul’s comments made me question him big time was when he spoke to The Guardia Civil about searching somewhere and they replied to him….
“NO NO NO! and I replied YES YES YES!”… You wouldn’t speak to Guardia Civil like that? Just BS imo.

Yes, I checked out the charity, too, on the register. They get up to 2 million in donations some years . They seem legit but Paul is turning out to be more dodgy by the day. X

I think the problem with all this is the family don't seem to be receiving advice from a police family liason officer, unsurprisingly they have become overwhelmed by the whole thing. Someone needs to talk some sense to them and explain the time for searches is over.
