I know this is an older video but, we like ham honey ham as I worked in our hospital kitchen and had to cook soooo many turkeys that by the time I changed jobs I couldn’t stand them anymore. The first year I was not working in the kitchen we had home made beef and noodles and mashed potatoes. Was really good!!!

My kids are older and go to their significant others houses so that usually leaves me on my own but I really dont mind. I like the quiet and being able to do whatever I want. I usually just order take out from somewhere.

Enjoyed today's trip to Walmart. Some items had very comparable prices to ours. Turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Christmas. Buy the pies if we have them at all. Except for pumpkin. Cool whip cause it's easier. Everett is such a good shopper...

So glad that I work for an Organic farm and we can get all the produce we can use for our family. Prices are crazy in the winter .🤪

I use to have serious belly issues and bleeding....it took 2 years to figure out what was wrong....doc said absolutely no more food with preservatives and additives and especiallyno salt....i eat as much fresh or frozen veggies as i can and as much homemade food as possible....i now make as much as i can from scratch....i do not by anything pre-made if i don't have to....and no can or boxed food's....and my belly is great and no more bleeding.....and i am a cool whip girl but only once a year with pumpkin pie....and i like cranberry jelly only.

Thanksgiving is always turkey and for my husband it's tamales. Christmas is always ham.

We always have a bunch of people and a big southern Thanksgiving. 2 turkeys 1 fried 1 baked 2 hams and 10 plus sides !!! We eat all day and night !!!!!!

Grew up with cranberry sauce in a can and still like it today, but I also make my own cranberry sauce from fresh berries. Here in Wisconsin we can get cranberries fresh from the field farmer direct. Hope you all have a blessed day 💕
I like both as well for different tastes. That is so cool to get them right from the source. If we can collect high bush cranberries in the forest in the fall they make a good jelly!
It's like that for alcohol in Nova Scotia as well. It can only be purchased at liquor stores called NSLC's that are government run. I remember going to the States for the first time as an adult and being shocked that alcohol was at Walmart and corner stores lol.

For me it is homemade cranberry sauce and pies, and real whipping cream. I love all the sides at Thanksgiving. Cheesy potatoes, green beans, jams, stuffing!

I don't like cranberry sauce, but I do buy it in jars for others to have. I buy ready made pastry but make my own pies. As for the cost of meat thank goodness I'm vegan 😆. The price of vegetables has really gone up, a lot of thing are missing and so much of it looks like it's seen better days. We don't have Thanks Giving in the UK so our next holiday is Christmas. I love watching your shopping videos and you always show a good mixture of things. Sending love and best wishes to you all 💞

I do my pies like you. A bit homemade and a bit store bought. I'm definitely team whipped cream!! My kids are even whipped cream snobs lol. They can tell if I've bought it or made it. As well as if I've added the "right" kind of vanilla. We also get the sparkling grape. The apple is ok, but not our preference either. Keep us posted about the sangria one. Hi I’m team pie only Thanksgiving and Christmas I make sweet potato pie from scratch. I’m also team extra creamy cool whip. I love that Evrette is into books. My grandson love nerf guns but of course he shoots them at his sisters. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I have very little tolerance for nerf guns, the bullets end up everywhere and someone cries. BUT we will pull them out every once in while and have a really fun time. Thanks for watching!

I like pies,but I buy then already made froze , then bake in the oven. Everett always has a ball shopping with you and it’s so cute. Your Wal Mart prices seem ok. I went grocery shopping yesterday at Food Lion and I noticed things have gone up quite a bit since my last shopping trip. I need to go to Walmart this weekend for Thanksgiving items, hopefully a little cheaper! Have a great weekend!

I go to Walmart with no agenda because I’m going to end up walking the whole store. I don’t meal plan ahead of shopping because I tend to look for items that are reduced that way I don’t plan for something that’s not on sale or reduced, I think it saves me money. My theory is if I have to buy lots of ingredients to make a dish it cost to much lol. Also team whipped cream and cool whip just put it on the pie. Lol. Thanks see you in the next video. You may be to busy for this idea or it may be to cold now but are there any entertainment places that you all like to go to like bowling alleys, skating, or even a play park that the kids like. Things of that nature.

I swear I buy everything in the great value brand that I can & equate brand. I hate homemade cranberry sauce but I like the jellied in cans. I prefer ham but turkey is cheaper. I try to get a ham at Christmas though. Team cool whip.

Thanks for taking us along to Walmart. I haven't been there in a long time. I tend to shop at Local Supermarkets. I love to go to Aldi. I started going when a Cooking told me, this is a store for cooks now. I am not a fan of their produce. Their German products seasonally are amazing.
I prefer homemade whipped cream with Xtra Madagascar vanilla, I keep it in a piping bag in a Baggie. I am not a huge pie fan but my Husband is. A small slice of Pumpkin pie, He loves Cherry Best. I love Dutch Apple for the Dutch in me. Usually with Vanilla bean Ice-cream. I like Cranberry Sauce with orange and nuts. The can mold texture is not so appealing to me. I spend the Xtra money and get the Turkey Breast. That would be a great idea for shut ins. When I get my Traeger to smoke them. You could pick on that for weeks.
EVERETT is a super sweetie cutie. It is so nice to hang with him. You should have him read us a Christmas Book. My Husband would love that. I bet he would have some funny explanations as he went along.

Hello Marcella! We don’t have Aldi but I want to go when we travel after hearing so many people talk about it. Mark likes French Silk pie and I like peach but I don’t usually make it. We will make a berry pie from our berries in the freezer. Mark does not do any Christmas lights, we keep it pretty simple. Have a wonderful weekend

Cranberries not at all !! The beef prices are really high!! I got a turkey at Publix for .49 a pound !! We will smoke it, but not for Thanksgiving. My daughter bought a brisket from a coworkers child. It was a fundraiser!! It will be a simple Thanksgiving this year. We always cook way to much and it’s a lot of work !! I m getting too old for all the cooking!! My son goes to his in-laws, they order in !! Everett will really know how to grocery shop!! 😀😀😀😀

Hey Jill! I always shoot for under $2 a pound for fruit and can find that at both Costco and Walmart. The quality it usually better at Costco. Our local Fred Myer has good deals on produce often and their quality is better.
