  • Are you a Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, or Miranda? Each woman feels so real, distinct, and clearly defined - so we can easily see ourselves in them, whether we’re a neurotic creative type like Carrie, a hopeless romantic like Charlotte, a confident “try-sexual” like Samantha, or an ambitious cynic like Miranda (or perhaps a mix of multiple characters.) So, which one are you - and what can we learn from each of the ladies?

Samantha is always commented just around her sexuality. While that part of her was amazing to see on TV, she was so much more. She was kind, generous, honest, open-minded, and an all around good person. She was also confident, ambitious, and true to herself. I aspired to be like her.

Samantha’s body count of lovers/relationships are always the focus. Let’s talk about how funny, unique, loyal, accepting, trustworthy incredibly loving and supportive of a friend Samantha Jones was to ALL of her friends. Samantha championed/celebrated her friends she never saw them as competition. She’s a class act.

Are we all forgetting that Samantha also had a really successful career like Miranda? She wasn't any less driven than her.

I always thought Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte were distinct types, and Carrie was the everywoman mix of all three.

Samantha is just awesome! She’s a Queer Icon. She was one of the few people in the show who experimented in a non-traditional relationship, encouraged a precursor to modern-day pansexuality AND was the mistress of her own desires. Also, she’s great fun! (Kim CATRALL is awesome)

While I relate to her the least, Charlotte's arc was the most interesting to see. I feel she developed the most in the show

Samantha doesn't have emotional intimacy issues. She is SUPER close to three other people! They're extremely intimate with one another, they share secrets, they understand each other, they love each other fiercely. Emotional intimacy, and also love btw, isn't just for people you're having sex with. That idea is really detrimental to mental and social wellbeing and needs to go.

I loved MIranda until the new series. It's like she did a complete 180 personality wise, and no, I'm not referring to her coming out. I have no problem with that. It was the way she treated everyone during it and threw everything away to chase after Che. Miranda from the og series would never have done that. That aside, I loved OG series Miranda and Samantha and considered myself a combo of those two characters.

I never knew Miranda wasn’t seen as “cool”. I’ve alway been dubbed the “Miranda” of my friend group. I loved her.

Samantha cannot be reduced to a sex icon. She was fiercely loyal, least judgemental and more often than not held no grudges whatsoever. Its a disservice to just discuss her sex life while talking about her character in SATC.

Samantha was the Mama Hen friend - a bit older than the others, willing to give tough yet warm advice, and the ultimate expert on their primary interest.

I may not be as sexual as Samantha, but I strive to be upbeat, optimistic, eager, confident, and free like her. Miranda and Charlotte were like phases for me. Carrie's neuroticism and self-centeredness are unfortunate parts of me as well.

It was 24 years since this show and it’s still relevant in Pop Culture, especially after being reclaimed. That’s just fabulous!

  • @monicatatianahernandezgamb9910

Miranda is a gem! So self-sufficient, fiercely independent and logical 💜

Who here wants a Samantha series? They should scrap the crap reboot and do a series that follows Samantha's life in London.

  • @mariafernandapereiraaraujo6304

I'm definitely a Miranda sun with a Charlotte rising

As a working class raised gal who sometimes struggle to spend her hard earned money on the things she loves, I still invoke Carrie when I'm struggling to make a big purchase: It's okay to have some of my money hanging in my closet 🤷🏽‍♀️ And although I don't have a need or stamina for half her sex escapades... Samantha is my forever fairy godmother 🥂

I wonder: IS Harry the complete opposite of Trey? He is still a well renowned lawyer with a lot of money. He may be a little bit clumsy and bald but still from the upper class. So maybe Charlotte gave up her aesthetic standards a little (though Harry is still an attractive man) but certainly not her standards money and class wise.

Charlotte’s idealism did put me out of sorts but you know, sometimes it’s nice to see things the way others don’t.

Aim higher, The Take! I’ve been a fan of your channel for long time, and I can tell that a good portion your commentary here was repurposed line-for-line from previous videos. If you listen carefully you can even hear different narrators’ voices shift in and out.
