Hey guys, thanks for this awesome video. I have a question if you don't mind. I have a Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller Plus scooter that I let my friend borrow. When she returned it, I turned it on, it had full battery meter, but the batter meter would go down about half way as I was riding it. It then gave me 2 beeps. I believe it also gave me 3 beeps shortly after, but I'm not sure. I looked up the codes and it says it's low voltage (2 beeps) or high voltage (3 beeps). Low voltage is simple, just charge the battery, high voltage is 'take to the dealer'. Now, the battery meter was reading full charge or almost full charge when started. It rode, but also when riding, the battery meter would drop down to about half charge as I was riding it. The battery meter would return when I stopped.
I charged the battery to full and it seems to have fixed it, I don't get those beeps anymore, and I tried go up a hill, down a hill, over some bumps, etc.
Just curious what you think it might have been. Was it just a low battery even though the meter read full or plenty of charge?
    Thanks.

as i press the lever but not operating brake or motor , anything else i can try before getting new ecu? , thanks ,andy.

Hi, hope you can help, can’t afford to take wheelchair to dealers, it’s a Pride igo electric wheelchair with the two slot in lithium batteries, batteries showing full charge, but power on, then nothing works, after a minute, I get two long beeps and one short one?

@@richardbarkley9909 That's awesome! I'm glad you were able to figure it out. Most of the time. It's a loose connection on one of the battery terminals. Make sure you have the batteries velcro down to the case by putting some Velcro on the bottom of the battery and having it stick to Velcro. That's at the bottom of the case that will keep it from shaking around.

Thanks for stopping by our CZcams channel. When you first get your new batteries, make sure that your batteries are charged overnight or at least 6-8 hours to get them out of that "dormant" stage they are in. When batteries sit in the warehouse for several months without being used, you typically need to give them a lengthy charge to get them to have that maximum travel range capacity that you're expecting.
If you are charging the batteries off board and it doesn't hold a charge, then your batteries are toast and you'll need to get a new one. However, you can also get a technician to fully diagnose the problem. If the batteries are charging and the scooter is not turning on, it's probably a good idea to check the fuse as well.
Here are some helpful links to give you ideas on what to check on your scooter:

    • @MobilityDirect

@@MobilityDirect It turned out that there is a cable under the carriage that was broken leaving two loose wires with exposed ends dragging along the ground. Whenever I crossed a metal threshold or ramp they would connect and cause the scooter to stop and beep. Two different mechanics failed to find this somehow. Thanks for watching our video and commenting. This is a possible controller trip. You may also be trying to install the battery with the key inserted. Alternatively, the motor controller may be in overheat protective mode. You can either try reinserting the key into the key switch. Or try shutting down your scooter for 10 minutes. This will allow the controller to cool. If this doesn't work, you'll probably need a technician.

What if you just got a brand new battery pack and the scooter isn't holding a charge?

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  Před 5 měsíci

It's best to start with the new battery packs. Making sure they are charged properly the first time and checked. After that, while it depends on each scooter, making sure you check the connection of the battery to the scooter is also one thing you can check. Some batteries uses cables to properly attach them to the scooter while some just needs to be inserted in the battery case. If you still encounter issues after all these and you've made sure that the batteries are good after testing them, then it's best to get your mobility scooter checked.

What kind of batteries did you use? Are they sealed lead acid gel? If you went to Walmart and bought batteries that are made for lawn mowers those will not work.

The battery meter is probably bad, as you drive it for miles, the battery meter lights should turn off one at a time.

Trace the power to the controller. Do you have a voltage meter? You should be getting 24 volts at the black and red connectors that connects to the controller.

You can refer to the manual for the beep code but it's possible that the freewheel lever may be in the freewheel position. To remedy this situation follow the instructions below:
      1. Remove the Key.
      2. Push the manual freewheel lever to the drive position.
      3. Restart your scooter.
