I've had the gogo(3 wheel) and the buzz around (4 wheel) the buzz around is a more comfortable ride because it has suspension and absorbs some of the bumps. The part i dislike the most about any of the travel/ take apart scooters is that none of them are waterproof, so if you get caught in the rain, it may destroy the electronics. For what these scooters cost, they could at least add some kind of waterproofing. Would be nice to go places and not have to worry about the weather

@@MobilityDirect Amazon has a giant poncho that goes over the front and back of scooters including the controls AND your body and it has a plastic face plate and you zip it up and the entire scooter is covered and rain will not get in. Its probably in case you get caught in the rain but have time to cover the scooter so you can either get home or get under cover or inside until the rain stops.

I just want to add a note about the newer zero turn scooters from Pride, which I think have been out for about 2-4 years, but those scooters can give you a three wheel turn radius using a 4 wheeled scooter, since you can turn the wheels almost directly to the side, so the whole turn radius, problem is generally solved, and I think it
works well, after having a zero turn 8 I think for the past 2 years…. Actually he even posted a video on the zt10, so I would look at that one for more information on the zt scooters by Pride, from before this video was posted…

Thank you for this video. I’m a bit confused bc I”m a 66 yr old woman on my own and I need to be completely independent , so I don’t really have the strength for a heavy scooter. I don’t think I could travel on a bus with something that has too many pieces to take apart, ,and would need something that’s good on any terrain, and has a great turn radius.
But I’l keep looking at all your vids. It’s taking me years to find something, so I’m pretty much stuck at home all the time.

On the other hand, power wheelcheers are mostly used by people that needs it to get around. Like having those that are having a hard time just by walking for short periods of time. Yo, I have a 3 wheeled mobility scooter. While riding it I ended up in the ditch with it trying to tip over. 😢 not cool! I have decided that I need a 4 wheeled one. I wonder if you would have a front end which can convert mine to 4 wheeled?

Unfortunately, we do not bill through insurance.
Most insurance companies only approve coverage for very basic models that are only designed for indoor use. They won't approve or cover anything designed for traveling, like any folding or disassembling models. They also won't approve anything if it goes over 5 mph or has any off-road suspension or oversized tires. Especially if you are using Medicare or Medicaid.
You may want to call your insurance company to find out if they would reimburse you after purchasing the scooter or wheelchair privately through a dealer and showing a receipt.
Keep in mind that if you use insurance it generally takes 6 months or even up to a year to get approval.
