im not trying to hate or anything, you're an amazing hair stylist and I feel like you aren't getting the views you could be. If you invest in a mic that makes your voice sound more relaxing and therapeutic aswell as speaking a bit slower in your videos I think more people would watch. Maybe also see what other huge haircut channels do although you're pretty big yourself
Hey thanks. Long explanation here, I hope I don’t come off as defensive, just kind of feel like I can’t win when it comes to this sort of advice. I speak quickly in my videos these days because previous helpful comments I’ve gotten from friends and strangers recommended that I get to the point faster and keep the video more brief, so I stopped reading a script and started speaking like I was talking to someone sitting next to me and my ~20 minute videos became 6-10 minutes. I’ve also been told I’d do better if I only cut mannequin heads, which is funny because I’ve gotten other friendly advice on some of my mannequin haircut videos telling me I’d do better if I used real human models. Some of the things I see other bigger CZcams hair channels do is feature a more attractive and/or charismatic hairdresser, and I just don’t want to be that guy even if I could, I deliberately keep my face out of frame. I’ve also seen some of the big hairdressers post multiple times per week, but I’ve got a 9-5 and it’s been pretty grueling trying to get one a week out for the past five months. So the advice/feedback is appreciated, and I am experimenting from video to video to see what works, both for me and for my audience.
@@andrewdoeshair ay man nice one, you should 100% just be yourself. I understand you already have a 9-5 and you’re still pumping out content to CZcams which is really cool; I really enjoyed your onepointfresh video too it really helped me a lot
Hey Andrew! Love your channel. You might not like what I'm going to say, but I want your content to succeed! Consider, Bringing the exposure up. The detail in some of your darks (like wet hair) is being totally lost. Secondly, Audio quality is KING for retention. To reduce chopiness, underlay some quiet ambient room sound. To get a fuller sound record one foot away, or talk quietly even closer, with the gain turned down. I wouldn't like un-solicited advice either, but I hope this helped. Lmk if you want more advice?
Love seeing you upload regularly, Andrew! Been a fan for YEARS... ever since I first saw "good hair doesn't come from a jar" changed my whole life. Went from a "what product does that!" to "hey mom I need to borrow your blowdryer (I have my own now)."
@@andrewdoeshair dang I saw you were moving to Tennessee. Wish you were moving closer to the coast of North Carolina. Got any recommendations out this way near Wilmington??? Thanks for your channel. It’s awesome.
This guy is underated! WHY? This guy is a literal HAIR GENIUS!❤

Is this back in style?
At least where I work, yes very much. I do this like 3-5 times a day for 18-30 year olds
