You have no idea how excited I am about your IDEX work. Getting to play with soluble support at school has me itching to build another printer, and as much as I love the Voron designs, I can't see myself building one with only one nozzle. Can't wait to see more of this thing in action!
Nice work. I do think the bed should cover the area of one of the tool head not the intersection. You loose quite a bit, and I suspect a fair number of users would accept to loose print bed area when they do need the 2 materials but have the extra width if they only print with one meterial. Or maybe the 3 options be available: intersection, one head and union.
Another comment, not related to IDEX, but I do think that having 2 fans for the hotend should be a standard for safety reasons. But maybe there are other mechanisms to protect against hotend fan going out.
Are those ptfe coated lead screws? I bought two sets of those from fysetc and all 4 lead screws were bent that they were not usable. Where did you source yours?
Not idex related but would you recommend the 2.4 or trident? I like the cheaper build price of the trident but the 2.4 has minor advantages such as stationary build plate, and faster zhop, which are pretty minor in my opinion. Thanks!
The V2.4 is a great printer, but I personally love my Trident printers. I think the simpler construction can make it a bit more reliable and easier to assemble correctly
I’m not sure what’s capable right now-hopefully there can be an auto Z offset from nozzle 1 to 2 using the Z pin, but I’m not great at writing macros 👍🏼
@@eddietheengineer Ahh, those are sold out atm. damn chip shortage, Will you do a video in the future on how to set them up? I hate having 18 wires on my tool head.
@@eddietheengineer have you seen the muldex idex. It uses copperheads because you can adjust the heat break by enough thats the only way I figured it out

Two stealth burners. I’d just like to be able to build one. 😬
Makes me want to convert on of my 2.4s into a trident/tridex. I don't have room for another printer.

Oh man… this really gets me wanting to build yet another machine… 🤤
Damn, thats a nice Printer. Someday a trident will come to my home. But right now i dont have any space at all.
Hi! I didn't find the firmware on the github, could you please help me? Thanks
What application or slicer is used for preparation g-code?
Were you able to use a single U2c for both toolhead can boards?

Some people have looked at fans with tachometer feedback! I haven’t tried that yet though

They are PTFE! Mine are wobbly as well, though with the Trident Z setup it works out well

Do you have any eventual plans to allow for the bed mesh to be red by both nozzles?

What machine is that. Love the idex gantry.
It’s a Tridex! Which is an IDEX mod for the Trident
Amazing!!!
Which firmware did you use?
Klipper
🤩👏
can you elaborate on the Can tool head boards?
Yes! They are the Huvud boards

Hello. Are there any updates about dublication/mirror mods?
Are you planning to build one
@@bharmoriamayuresh wo these modes - I don't think so
@@Pasha4ur ok
How do you plan to solve the z offset issue?
I have an idea floating around in my head but don’t really have a good solution yet
