Shorter version:
OFW: no mods on your system
CFW: hacked switch
SysNAND: your system data on your switch.
EmuNAND: Your hacked switch’s system data is on the SD card

So I have an EmuNAND on a separate SD card for my Switch. I have one game and Tinfoil installed into that SD card (When you go to the Switch Storage Settings it gives you both system and SD storage numbers under the EmuNAND launch option, its installed on the SD card). Does that mean when I boot into stock firmware or SysNAND without "backup games" on those modes and/or have another SD card that's clean of "backups" and connect to the internet, will I get a console ban? Or do I have to use Haku33 or TegraExplorer's System Wipe Script to clean my console and/or EmmuNAND SD card? Sorry for making this question long, I've been following your content for years now!😊

A hacked 3DS has the emunand on the SD card where the CFW resides and the original fw on the console's sysnand right? If I recall correctly, that's how it works since as soon as you turn off the console and remove the sd card, when you boot it up again, it defaults to the stock firmware. But I think there's also a way to install the cfw directly to the console's sysnand instead of the SD card right?
i think it uses the same method but.. the sysnand on 3ds is always cfw. while on the switch, it can be 100% stock. the 3ds always need an sdcard for games storage while the switch has a 32gb internal storage. and yes it always need an sdcard to switch between worlds. on the 3ds we can switch that easily but for the chipped switch, we always need to use the sdcard.
but basically, it shares the same terminology / concept
so setting up emunand to back up game carts if fine? also what about playing online with online safe mods, like playing as giga bowser in smash private lobby's with incognito, or the other software to avoid bans, or will the cfw get detected and my switch get bannd?
ofw and sysmmc is for legit games only while the emummc is for other usage including backups

I have a switch with SysCFW and I only use it to play smash bros mods online, is it safe to go to EmuCFW and play online or do I need to keep the EmuMMC offline? and can I have both SysCFW and EmuCFW at the same time? I would like to run my backups.
U need to use the sysmmc with legit games only. Emummc is for other things like backups etc

No. You can only run one cfw mode at a time

use a modchip, no alternatives for now and no no.. u cannot downgrade an upgraded console without cfw..

if you have a sysnand switch unpatched JB and have game but not dula boot .. then you decided make your switch dualboot for emunand this is ok ?

cfw is only a pack of files. What's the problem with your console?
what i don't understand is why you would need SysNAND instead of Stock. I reference the three options: emuNAND. SysNAND, and Stock. why do we need atmosphere on SysNAND? Why wouldn't you just use Stock if you didn't want emuNAND? Is it just for to do your homebrew without bothering with an emuNAND partition?
somehow If you want to extract the save data from the sysnand, u need jksv and that is why u need the sysnand cfw. got it?
you can extract save files from OFW.
So if I setup an emunand to play emulators and backed up single player games, and keep my sysnand completely untouched, could I still play my legit bought games online in the sysnand and just never connect to wifi while using the emunand?

you need to have a mod-able console . It doesnt matter if you want to run the OFW as Sysmmc CFW or not but it is there.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. If we have a v1 switch with original manufacturer firmware version that has never been updated, we can run emunand with latest firmware (from atmosphere?) on all mod games without ever needing to update sysnand’s stock firmware? And, can always restore back to the original manufacturer firmware version if the stock sysnand is first backup.
Emunand derives from the sysnand
And it is better to update both worlds. Yes you can delete the emunand if you don't need it
Once i create an emunand will it just look like a copy of my sysnand with the same games installed and if i change anything will it change the sysnand like deleting profiles specifically and modding games?
Same game traces but not the games. Changing the sysnand or the emunand won't affect anything.. They are separated entities

Just worried since if something went wrong with the emmunand, my accounts would be linked to the OFW aswell. So im just wondering if connecting to the Internet even once can ban the emmunand (aswell as the sysnand since my Nintendo accounts are linked on both)

it is ok as long as you know the deal. dont use pirated games, and apps like tinfoil or online cheats

Hey, i have now a jailbroken switch since about a month and installed all kind of hb apps and alot of pirated games without having a emunand because i didnt knew what this is. Now i want to buy a game and play it online. You said in the video there is a way to clean your console again with tools. I made a backup file of my pokemon game with checkpoint and safed it on my desktop, that save file is everything that matters for me on my switch. Its okey for me to Delete everything on the switch, as long as i can restore the game safe file. It would be nice if you could explain. link a video or tell me where i can find a way, to make my switch online playable again.
