  • In this episode we dive into the Bronze Age collapse from the Egyptian perception. We start off by briefly giving a summary of the Bronze Age collapse for those who may not be familiar with the subject.
    We will explore three invasions of the Sea Peoples and the Pharaohs who reigned during these periods. We will also discuss the different groups of the Sea Peoples who invaded and the battles that took place.
    Though ancient Egypt was one of the few empires to survive the collapse, it never recovered its former height. What impacts did the collapse have on Egypt? Don't worry, we have you covered!
    "My sword is great and mighty like that of Montu. No land can stand fast before my arms. I am a king rejoicing in slaughter. My reign is calmed in peace." With this claim, Ramses III implicated that his reign is safe in the wake of fallout from the Bronze Age.
    This episode is going to lead to the next upcoming episode which will be the Bronze Age Collapse in the Bible.

    Interesting that a military retirement (At least in the US under high three) is still 20 years after thousands of years. It was somewhat modified under the blended retirement system (BRS) that kicked in during 2019 as a cost saving measure. Now instead of retirement pay being (2.5%)*(your time in)*(base pay), it is (2%)*(your time in)*(base pay) + whatever your managed to save in the military 401k. Still kicks in if you get out after 20 years, and under BRS if you get out before then, you keep the 401k money. Those who came in prior to BRS had a choice to switch over, but most didn't because you'll lose out on money. A few were tricked into choosing it, and the choice was irrevocable.

    While I found this portion interesting as it is. Chronologically correct, it does not help in terms of research with respect to the actual causes for the migration of the Sea Peoples. Although partially disputed. The closes I can research has been the incursion. Of Celtic people into north eastern Iberia, the greatest likelihood of the source of Ti; was fro,the eastern and. Southern shore of the Iberian peninsula. With the norther most area being called Levante. In the late Bronze Age. I have assumed that the inter Mediterranean. Trade routes would have the factors of availability and. Ease of transport. If an ore rich source has availability of a natural port then such trade of resources can occur with greater ease than by using an overland Route. Such a route would include all the intervening Islands, perhaps as a means of limiting an individual risk. So along. Such a trade route, interference could easily cause a breakdown and therefore begin a panic migration that overwhelms the resources in a domino effect,Island to Island and turn into social actions of piracy, and become militant with respect to mainland cultures, that in turn are overwhelmed by such “invasion” until as indicated by your lecture, it is stopped and/ or integrated into another society.

    • @sunny-sq6ci
      @sunny-sq6ci Před 3 lety

      unfortunately, archeologists may never have the clearest understanding of what exactly triggered the 'sea people' to start invading. there's some growing evidence that some significant environmental event took place that lead to widespread famine and drought, but due to the stigma of such a subject, very few archaeologists will pursue any kind of research or field work.

    • @walterulasinksi7031
      @walterulasinksi7031 Před 3 lety

      s cho as is accepted , that overland transport of Tin would have been very expensive from Afghanistan. It imply that 5he Sea routes were the most profitable, in terms of economics. You do not have to feed a boat and you can fit more into one than a pack animal. So an advancement of the results of the Urnfield incursion into northeastern Iberia with a possible takeover of food resources to Levante region of eastern Iberia could have started the initial disruption and migration.

The goal of history i don't think is to hate. Tom and john most likely support all those child sacrificing God's. Its the only reason one would hate the bible so. It condemns sacrificing children to any god. Foolishness to think you can cancel Jehovah. The bible is about him, not Abraham. Jesus said at John 21:22,23. Bloodlines don't matter you follow him. That's way Jehovah took Israel's history away and hide it. Abraham had no proof of Jehovah and either do we. The prefect palindrome of history. Learn Faith Hebrews 11:1. So the Phillistines were or merged with the Palestinians? As a People, their government only lasted 200 years. I watched a lecture about Where did all the Phillistines Go - and he developed theories even possibility they had a plague or were destroyed by an earthquake or volcano or such. Or maybe all destroyed in a battle.
