Our Lemurs Love Their Fruits and Veggies!

Anyone who wants to eat more fruits and vegetables in 2023 could learn a thing or two from our ring-tailed lemurs. They love chowing down on fruits and veggies! In the wild, this species of lemur eats fruits, leaves, flowers, bark, sap, large insects and sometimes small vertebrates like chameleons. Here at the Zoo, our lemur troop enjoys vegetables, greens, starches, low starch gel, primate biscuits and fruit for training and special occasions. 🥬🍓🫐
