A.E.mackintosh cleaning services, is the best CZcams Cleaning channel on CZcams, Fair play to Ashley and his team every video gets better and better keep up the good work👌👍
Clean Vision Window cleaning Hey thanks. I’m not sure about that, but it’s kind of you to say. I hope you continue to enjoy the channel and find it helpful.😃👍🏼
Nice job. Looks like a good quality paving installation.
Thanks. Yes it was a pretty neat drive, especially without the oil on it.😃👍🏼
Hi Ashley keep the videos coming I really enjoy seeing how you tackle different jobs I do more or less the same types of work as yourself
I did a really bad black oil stain on a block paved driveway recently I used an industrial degreaser it worked a treat in the end but personally I think a hot wash or an industrial steam cleaner would have drawn this out the blocks a lot easier combined with the degreaser especially if its being in the block for a while as the heat also helps to breakdown the oil just my thoughts
Thanks. Have you actually used heat on oil stains? I only fairly recently got my hot pressure setup and I haven’t had a chance to try it on an oil stain yet.
I’m impressed. Very good result. 👏👏
Thanks.👍🏼
Nice one Ashley. No matter the stain, there is always a chemical to get rid of it ✌☘
JD Thanks. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!😃👍🏼
Great video. Thank you so much.
Thomas Ruark Thanks for your comments.😃👍🏼
Clutch and brake cleaner is great as well for those things I have used it
Kamil Olczak Sounds good.😃👍🏼
This is why I love my main job to be a foreman on a paver demo crew. We do repairs all the time and have extra pavers of all colors. For the price of the chemicals I’ll just grab the exact pavers and re install.
Nice one.👍🏼
What a result nice job Ash
Old School Window cleaner Thanks 😃👍🏼
Great video... I had an oil stain the other day on just one block, that would just not move... in the end we turned the block upside down 👍
cns worx As long as the blocks look the same on the other side. The longer the stain has been there, the harder it can be to remove.😃👍🏼
Great cleaning job! That's a nice-looking place.
Thanks! Yes, I love to work in some nice places if I can.👍🏼
Looks great!
Thanks.😃👍🏼
👍Amazing video! Great job!!!
Thanks!😃👍🏼
Great job👍
Kire Markovski Thanks 😃👍🏼
Hi, what would you recommend for pattern imprinted concrete?
Great job mate
Thanks!🤩👍🏼
Hydrocarbon stain remover. I'll try to mix up my own with what I have in my shed. Can't get that stuff here.
Maybe seal the pavers to do it happening that bad again
Good backing track👍
tony dee Great. Thanks. It’s important to get the music right! 😃👍🏼
Great work.. A tip so you see the stain whilst cleaning is to start washing from the furthest point away and work backwards towards yourself... This also stops the chemical from being washed away from the overspill when your washing off foward.
..
powerwashcleaning Nice one.😃👍🏼
Hi Ashley, would love to see another view of the stain in a few days/weeks time as nearly all oil stains have a habit of reappearing.
West Midlands Driveway Cleaning culbard Yes, that’s why I made sure I had two thorough goes at it. But I should pop back in a week or so to have a look. 😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh Cheers Ashley. Please don't think it was a criticism, I've tried several osr's over the years and all do a great job initially but the stain nearly always reappears.
@@wmdccleaningservices1554 so what do you do ?
@@inspectorclewsow1511 Firstly inform customers there is no guarantee that the stain will be removed. Best results I've had have been applying osr 2 weeks prior to cleaning and cover with a tarpaulin. This helps draw out the oil.
That’s Grease. not Oil from car . Fake bullshit
Wish we could get that here in the US
Great I will try also my garage floor stain with car oil
😃👍🏼
Not sure i could use this on a steeply inclined driveway.. will give it a go.
Yeah, you should be fine. The slope should help with the rinse.😜👍🏼
Hi Ashley, great video. Can I ask you please, how do I get rid of crescote oil from fenceing posts off Indian Sandstone please? Thanks Francis
Tough one. I don’t fancy your chances with that one. I’ve not tackled that before I’m afraid.😬👎🏼
Hi Ashley. Since i watched this video a while ago, I have been using this product and it is amazing. I have a customer who has had diesel fuel spilt on their block paving. I spoke to resiblock to ask if this would work. They said its not meant for this but should work. I have tried it with no joy. Can you recommend a product for diesel fuel. Thanks Darren.
Thanks for your comments. Every stain and every situation can be different, there are no guarantees, I usually try and make the customer aware of this before I start and then hopefully I achieve better results than I promise and everyone’s happy! I’ve heard of some people using a blow torch to burn away the stain in the block. It’s supposed to work quite well but I’ve never actually tried it myself. I hope that helps.😃👍🏼
Awesome! Any tips on removing power steering fluid stains from block pavers like this. Im so nervous about discoloring the pink tone
It can be slightly different to deal with. I’ve never done a power steering fluid stain myself. Sorry.😬👎🏼
@@aemackintosh Thank you👍 and for your vids.
Hi Ashley. Can you tell me what chemical you used on the stain? Love your channel some great tips
robert clarke Thanks. I used Resiblock Oil Remover. I’ve put a link in the description for you.😃👍🏼
Hi Ashley,
Great video. Does the product you are using remove hydraulic fluid (left by a contractor's machine) from block paving?
Yes, it should be good.👍🏼
Excellent job Ashley mate
Jonny Retro Thanks 😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh no problem mate. Is there good money to be made in this extra cleaning work than window cleaning? Or would you earn more on a days windows.
Cheers Jonny
As a traditional window cleaner, these extra jobs were a great boost for me. What I would say is that for pressure washing especially, I think you have to turn over enough work to make it worthwhile buying and maintaining the equipment. Now I’m using wfp a lot more, there isn’t such a big gap between what my window cleaning makes compared to the other services. I don’t advertise though apart from social media, it’s my existing customers that mostly bring in the additional work. I should do a video about this.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh yes I get a lot of customers asking for a full house PVC clean. Gutters fascias etc. Looking around 3-4 hrs work for 2 lads. I try charge £50 an hour minimum for additional services. As that's what we earn every day cleaning Windows. It's just not worth me stopping my easy window cleaning for a hard PVC clean for the day for any less than that.
When I say it will be £200. I only get say 50% of customers who except the quote.
It doesn't bother me as they are the one who want the work doing. I'm busy enough with my window cleaning everyday.
Yes I was going to ask if you could make a video on this subject mate.
Cheers Jonny
Exactly. Sometimes it is nice to have the challenge of something different. I like the variety, but sometimes It can end up being more trouble than it’s worth. But then I’ve built up experience in a lot of different things. I like looking after my customers locally if I can.😃👍🏼
Can i get this product in the U.S.
Did the stain remover last?
Hi Ashley, i saw some YT vids using a weed burner to remove oil stains from driveways and looks quite effective, do you think this can be another option rather than using an oil stain remover?
parinya ngarmkum I’ve never tried that method myself, but there is always more than one way of doing things.😃👍🏼
be very careful it can cause small explosions of the brick or concrete. you have to constantly move the heat around dont focus on one place long. Use the hotter yellow gas, not the blue one. wear glasses
Great video. I have same problem but dont have enough time. How much would same job cost me pls?
Thegamblerisback I usually charge a minimum of £75 for oil stain removal. But it might look a bit strange if you just have one big really clean patch on your drive, so it’s usually best to clean the whole driveway. For this I measure the whole area and price per square meter.😃👍🏼
Can't find it in USA..
Hi. I have yellow staining on my monoblock, think it's related to a blockage of water coming down a slope which I have now cleared. The power washer isn't doing anything to remove the yellow. Any ideas?
It’s difficult to say without seeing it for myself, but you will need some kind of chemical to remove the stain, possibly a rust remover?👍🏼
Hi - the product doesn't seem to be available via the link - it gives a ”404” error. Any idea why?
John Simpson I have updated the link so hopefully it should work. Or if you search for Resiblock Oil Remover, you should find it.😃👍🏼
Hi, any idea if you can use this remover on concrete aswell as paving? Is it as effective?
Jack_Mills Yeah I think it should be just as good on concrete. You can always give Resiblock a call direct, they have a great customer helpline.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh please which chemical you use to remove the oil stain?
Would this also work on black brick paving bud? And where can I buy the liquid
It should do. Every oil stain is different so you can never be sure what results you will get. I used Resiblock Oil Remover.😃👍🏼
What's the name of the product. I couldnt make out the name. Thanks,
Hi, we washed our cars on our light grey block paved driveway yesterday. There are still large dark stains left on the drive, presumably from the car shampoo and car foam soap. We have tried to remove these stains with a patio cleaner and fairy liquid today - neither of these have made any difference. Would you recommend using this product to remove the stains or any other products you think could do the trick? In desperate need of help! Thank you!!
I hope Resiblock O.R. works for you.👍🏼
That’s amazing can you use that on concrete flags
Graham Davies Yeah, it should be fine to use on concrete. That material can be a little more dense, so that might make it more difficult to remove the stain.😃👍🏼
Was that paving sealed? If yes I guess that explains why it turned out that good 😊
No. I just did a great job getting it clean!😉👍🏼
Great job. Where do you get that chemical from please Ashley 👍
Squeaky Clean Dave I get it directly from Resiblock as I am a registered contractor with them.😃👍🏼
Amazon sell it, zep from screwfix is also very good. Removed a big oil stain whilst i was doing an oil change on my bmw diesel. A good litre splashed over and soaked into a non protected drivway. Oil was black and had engine flush in it aswell.. it removed 99% of the stain..
Hi mate would this get old oil stains out (12-18months) or is there any other other chemicals you’d recommend?
This is the one I’ve found to be best. It may need a couple of good applications allowing it to fully dry in between. The longer the stain has been there the harder it will be to remove, and you can often get a slight shadow of the stain left behind.👍🏼
@@aemackintosh thanks for the reply mate, much appreciated. I’ll try some thanks again.
Hi does anyone know how to remove brake fluid stains from Indian sandstone?
Yes, the same method as for oil. Repeat the process as needed.👍🏼
Hi mate how would you price a stain removal like this?
Depends how big, how much chemical you need, how many trips to the job.
Where can I buy this product I live in the US
It is available at resiblock.com in the UK, I’m not sure if they ship to the USA but you could ask.😃👍🏼
nice job ash. can you send us a link to that nozzle please
Poopsy1970 It’s just a turbo nozzle. I get a lot of my pressure washing kit from www.jet-wash-direct.co.uk/ 😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh what sort of psi should I be looking for?
thanks
ken
At least 2500psi, at 15 litres per minute, minimum.😃👍🏼
will this product work on synthetic oil stain?
It should do. It needs to be applied to the stain when the surface is dry, agitate, then pressure wash after it has been left to dwell for at least 15 mins. Repeat as necessary but it must be allowed to fully dry out between applications.😃👍🏼
Can this be used on Indian sandstone?
Yes, it sure can!😃👍🏼
is there an American version of this brand that works just the ssame?
I don’t know what’s available in the US I’m afraid. Sorry.
What would you use on 5 year old diesel sump oil.
The longer any stain has been there, the harder it will be to remove. You are likely to be left with a faint shadow even after several applications of oil remover.
@@aemackintosh thankyou for your reply I've decided to replace several block sets , I can get replacement blocks locally ✌
Hi, is this product available in the United States?
Great videos
Thanks
I’m not sure. You could check the Resiblock website for more information.👍🏼
@@aemackintosh
Thanks, I will check the website. Love you're videos, it's interesting to see how you do things. I really like the small surface cleaner you use on the tile roofs. It's just awesome to see how it's done in other countries.
Thanks so much.😎
Would this oil remover work on tarmac ?
Yes.👍🏼
What is the name of the product you use to remove oil stains?
Resiblock Oil Remover.👍🏼
how much u pay for the oil remover is it in home depot were u get it?
Resiblock.com in the uk.👍🏼
Did you seal the drive also? Does it have to be sealed after sanding?
Sealant is an added extra.👍🏼
@@aemackintosh ah thanks, I assumed it was very important to seal afterwards. Wouldn’t it effect the sand not gelling properly and inevitably coming out?
Also I sent an email regarding the training course 😀
What was the chemical used for that job
Resiblock Oil Remover.😃👍🏼
Do you think this would work to remove wood stain from paving?
No, I don’t think so. A wood stain, that’s a strange one. Not quite sure how I would tackle it. Probably pressure wash and sodium hypochlorite softwash treatment.
@@aemackintosh Ok thanks I'll try that!
What is the product you used called?

So pissed off
Oil stain remover to remove an oil stain. Who'd have thought???
Not bad eh!?😃👍🏼
Sorry. It's just me being narky during Lockdown.
No worries, but you’re right. It’s amazing how many people ask me “what do you use to remove oil stains?” And I say “well there is this stuff called oil stain remover!”😃👍🏼
That stain isn’t 100% gone, there is still something there. Big improvement tho.
Quite often there can be a slight shadow of the stain left. I was quite pleased with this result though.😃👍🏼
Pavers look better with oil on them. Do the whole drive with used motor oil
🤦🏾♂️
My cars leak oil all over the driveway so kinda the same thing fam, sweating power, or if it's the RX8 it's bleeding compression....
American on Chinese motor oil?

Nah, too much work. A propane torch will burn that stain right off in seconds
I cannot understand WHAT he is SAYING the NAME of the product that is used to remove the stains!!! This whole video is no good unless you can tell us what the hell you used.
Resiblock oil remover. I said it quite clearly.
