  • This is a nice little mission with a lot of tricky dialogue options.

The most interesting mission I've seen thus far. Some pretty good writing in this game I'm very impressed.

Both the Sun Creature and the redesigned Gorn should have appeared in some Star Trek TV series because of sheer awesomeness.
Best looking Gorn design ever!! Zashar is a interesting character as is all the other characters in the game.
This is my favorite Star Trek game. Klingon Academy is good too but it has way to many stability issues and glitches, especially on newer OS like Vista/Win 7. It's buggy even with patches and mods. SFA is relatively stable and has far fewer issues :)

Is it just me, or do the "threatening" dialogue options make Forrester sound a lot like Captain Archer from Enterprise?

Yep, there is a lot of Archerism there, he even looks like he could be a descendant.
When I first saw Enterprise, I thought "Hey, this Archer guy reminds of of Forrester from Academy :D "

The team did a fantastic job updating the look of the Gorn without deviating too much from the original in TOS.

Yep, this Gorn is much better than what was on Enteprise....and don't get me started on the thankfully un-used Gorn redesign JJ was going to use.

I remember playing this game when i was a kid, but for some reason, I couldn't play any farther past the Divide and Conquer mission. If I had known then that my choices affected the performance of the crew, I would have made better dialog choices and been able to play until the end of the game.

+TheCastellan & MandyLandy62. I agree with with everything in both of urcomments.
But as always JJ Abrams would never gain better trust with his aa ttempt and re designing the Gorn as much as the scrutany and hate that he has had with his Enterprise concept.
    gr
While I as a trekkie alone respect JJ's graphical design skills I too have always had a lot of doubt and regretfulness against Mr Abrams's Enterprise design as much as every trekkie has had a lot of hate against him.

Is there any particular advantage to doing the mission this way as opposed to luring the Mimics out of the system and then returning to deal with Zashar?

    • @Alshoff
      @Alshoff  Před 8 lety

+Falchion1984 I don't know. In fact, I didn't know there was another way to complete this mission until someone else uploaded a clip of moving the mimics. There might be a difference in score which is given based on mission performance.
It's rather interesting how there are multiple ways to solve most these missions. There can be very subtle differences in how things play out.

I do know that, once you move the Mimics, you can either head straight home or head back to Heeya to deal with the Gorn. The latter should still get you Sulu's comment about solving the mission "in the best possible way."
