I've seen dozens of "sleeper" Novas. Am I the only one that prefers a stock hood if your trying to build a sleeper? Mine is a 71, bench seat, stock hood, 4 speed with a LS6-454. I built it as a sleeper and to me the simpler the better.
One day I’ll be at the legendary Maple Motors and pick up my dream car, what is it? I don’t even know but any beautiful Chevy like this nova here is one on the list. Awesome cars nick!

My brother and I had Novas in our high school years and after. We love our Novas. Our mom said no more Novas after our wrecks which were neither of our faults. But I'd love this one for my casket.

The back suspension is not good because all the moon shine runs..👍
I think the disconnected traction bars were the main cause for the noise.

On these old novas the fuse for the dash lights is the same one for the taillights so if your driving at night and you have no dash lights you know you have no taillights

My best friend Sandy Miller her parents bought her a Nova in 1968 for high school graduation present.
Her parents wouldn't let any friends ride along. I think it was green. Maybe a automatic but im not sure.

The suspension problems sounds like weak springs. The back could be bad bump stops. I love Nova's and this ones a beaut!!!!!
Not too bad....sounds like a (2.20 first gear) close-ratio trans. Car needs a few thou in "general fix-`em-ups", but you could have yourself a nice little ride for under $30K....
(I picture Nick, in his spare time, running `shine down the back roads in this car.... :-)

My friends 427 66 Chevelle never runs hotter than 160 with the huge aluminum rad he put in it.

427 anything was a super Beasty and novas were light but it was hard to get big rubber on it unless u narrowed the rear end

If there a 150 or 160 degree thermostat then it will read that, my big block has a 160 temp and that’s where it stays while driving
