Got excited there because I lost out on the Haslab one, then I saw the price......
That’s a pretty accurate price for an aluminum wand with all the fixings. Especially the added details for accuracy
While it is too rich for my blood, I do agree that gi en the general market and attention to detail, this price isn't too crazy. Crazy, but not too Crazy.
Thank you Haslab if it wasn't for their campaign I would never own anything remotely close to this quality. I love my spirit pack but that thing is getting put into storage once I have the Spengler pack in my hands.
I thought about it but I am going to bring it to a Con event once I have the Haslab Pack. Then I am going to look for a random GB fan that doesn't have a pack and just gift it to them. It's the 2021 model with the green padded straps and it's stock with no mods done. So whoever gets it can do whatever they want.
@@chrisminton516 that's really cool of you. I thought about doing something similar with the HasLab pack. Just keep an extra on ice and sell it at retail price for someone who wanted it but couldn't afford it it the time, down the line.
I will be using my Spirit Pack as backup when I travel to conventions via air and use my Haslab Pack when I travel to conventions via car. I really hate to imagine the airline losing or someone stealing my Haslab Pack when I land.
While this is pretty neat, $4,000 is too exorbitant a price for my blood. I may be a huge Ghostbusters fan, but I am not willing to shell out that much money for one. I'm just glad that I backed the Haslab Spengler proton pack, two of them in fact.

Have they mentioned if the casts they pulled were from hero props? The stunt packs can be official but may not be the best source material if that was used. The price is steep but I made a proton pack about 12 years ago with the best electronics kit, aluminum parts, authentic parts, and best quality replica parts at the time and I tipped over $3200 just in parts. It got pricey too because I didn’t have certain tools to put it together. I didn’t even go to nines with things like the external battery, flashbulb, or working pop out.
This is the Mack’s Factory Legacy shell, a direct pull from the ‘Super hero’ pack which all the original hero packs were made from.
First thing I'm doing with my Haslab pack after I put it on my ALICE frame....is putting it on like the guys in Ghostbusters 2. 'Ow'.
Would be cool to see what it actually does for that price.
At that price it better be FULLY functional and be able to lasso ghosts. It looks awesome yes but not THAT awesome lol

Buy a replica proton pack and wand that shoots a partical stream. Somebody somewhere sometime will make a working pack.
Every time I see one of these I become more sad that I missed my chance for Haslab pack 😭

If I had $4000 to do it. I would buy it without hesitation. Ghostbusters is the most phenomenal part of my life. Venkman was in my not so humble opinion the greatest of the group.

I know $4k sounds like a lot, but these are probably somewhat of a limited edition and once they sell out they'll increase in collector value. How awesome if you had an original framed Ghostbusters movie poster with this hanging next to it.

$4k? GTFO. I understand time, attention to detail, and skill applied to handmade goods. Realistically, $1.5k max. I’ll buy a decent, pretty good mass produced, limited series run of a proton pack over anything over $1k. Just my approach. I know there’s others who would pay exorbitant amounts for these handmade prop replicas, but Sony/GB Corp/ whoever deals with merchandise licensing has to see the opportunity on the wall and I hope the Hasbro Spengler proton pack kickstarter type campaign gives them the realization they need to continue making them of the higher end caliber of quality.
