Same goes for the OG costume by the same company. The fabric is really nice and that proton pack is also really cool, but it's not worth $300, maybe $100 at absolute maximum.
Being real with you Jason, when you said it was foam I got soooo confused 😂😂😂😂 it doesn't even look like foam until you squished it and my mind had a stroke understanding what just happened, thanks love the vid!

Regardless of how one feels about the film, I think we can all give props to the craftsmanship on display here. With those paint apps, I thought this pack was gonna be a durable plastic! Props for making foam look like something more rugged!
I picked up one of these on eBay for about 1/3 of the price and I like it a lot. I was extremely impressed with the fabric, and the proton pack is really good for a lazy day at a convention. Plus the interchangeable nametags are great.
I picked this up on sale, mainly for the 2016 pack….and they sent me an og pack instead saying they were “all out”
We are weeks away... now is not the time for this.

While unlike most people that I didn't actually "hate" the reboot. I didn't love it and i really didn't like the proton pack or any of the guns/blasters they had made for the movie.
Really, they made a costume for $300 for the 2016 film. They already stole my money for watching that film and now they want to steal $300 for this?! No Way!

When the movie first got announced I was little disappointed but then when the movie Fisher came out and I saw it I actually liked it it doesn't take the spot of the original to ghostbuster movies but it does have a place in my heart and my kid cousins can enjoy it like I did with the originals when I first saw them on VHS back in the 90s and I'm 36 now and I cannot wait for next month I'm already ready to see the new Ghostbusters movie!
Mentioning this movie always reminds me of the hateful things I was called as a fan for disliking the movie from those connected and starring in the actual film. Heck, I remember one of the actresses lashing out at Sony for pursing Afterlife with Jason Reitman rather than a sequel. She was spewing rascist remarks while cussing.
If I were involved in making the reboot and got a lot of hate from the internet for it, I would have PTSD
That foam pack looks pretty dope, but I don’t think I’d even spend $79 on it and I thought ATC was fine and it’s existence causes me no strife whatsoever. I do think it’s funny that something totally benign as near mentioning that indeed that film exists causes so many folks to just not be able to help themselves to this day. Yes everyone is free to share their opinions, but it’s just telling in what one allows themselves to be triggered by. Also aren’t these the folks usually complaining about or lampooning others for being “triggered”?
I also like the 2016 proton pack. It looks more thrown together than the '84 pack, which makes sense in the film. The costume pack looks ok.

I always liked the gear in the 2016 version. A different take on the proton packs & traps was cool and the fact that they explain that Holtzman builds everything out of junk helps with explaining the difference in the look from the original films. While the pack on this one does look kindda cool...
For $300 it should have had lights & sound rather than just been that foamy stuff. Kind of a bummer there.

Personally if you’re gonna have this kinda thing cost 300 bucks, it’s gotta be a really dang nice costume. The coveralls have somethin going on but the logo/nametape patches look iffy. Plus foam proton packs being in a pricey set is a sin, so yeah, 300 is way overpriced. Somewhere between 80 and 100 would be more tolerable based on what you get.

Cleveland ghostbusters fan since 1984 here , I’ve got the ghostbusters no ghost and the ghostbusters 2 no ghost tattooed on my body and GB answer the call is Awesome ❤️ the only scene I can agree with all the hate is the dance sequence 😬 the extended cut is definitely the way to go too 💜 thanks for covering this Jason 💚

The Coveralls (not a flightsuit!) at least look half decent. But I can not see why anyone would pay $300 for this! The $79 price tag is more reasonable.

Picked up this pack in large size when it was on clearance price on Amazon. Fits my wife very well, because it was actually a size small, but labeled too big? The flight suit is very good quality. Sturdy and could take some punishment. The pack is balls… but it’s the only 2016 pack available outside of 3D printing your own. As you saw on Jason, it’s tiny… for kids it would be perfect, I guess.
Not worth $300. $79, sure, for the suit at least.

Which outlets are speaking of? There have been a few less than favorable reviews in a sea of mostly positive ones. What I have noticed is that some of CZcams’s most active anti-sjw grifters are making a way bigger deal about a few bad reviews and barely mentioning all the positive hype around the new film. A couple bad reviews does not equate to “review bombing”, which I saw at least on YT’er claim, which honestly comes off as major projection since that exactly what they did in regards to 2016. I didn’t hate ATC and am elated over Afterlife happening. I don’t need them to exist in the same universe and there is room in the fandom for both. But bottom line is you got swill merchants on YT still making content to crap on the last reboot because it drives clicks and keeps the toxic discourse spinning and that makes them money. If it weren’t for them you’d just stoked about all the praise that has been pouring out for the new film instead of dwelling on the couple negative reactions.
