- Better clean the cab of this gem out so that the floor pan can be removed in order to see what kind of rusty gold the transmission beholds!

Love that you are saving all that cool old IRON if these trucks could talk what stories they could tell 😁
I have an old 74 international with 447k miles in it if it could talk i would spend my days listening
1:48 is a battery pickup strap. You hook the ends on the top posts, and it tightens as you lift.
That’s my new favorite truck. I’m looking forward to working on her so she becomes a good driver. Thanks for the update.
The vented canister behind your seat goes to the vacuum assist on your brakes,, you probably already know that,, cool old truck man 👍 👍 👍 👍
Going through old vehicles is like a treasure hunt. Never know what you will find. Hope you get it fixed and running. 👌✌
Coolest find for me was a 3/4 drive snapon breaker bar.
That hole truck is in really good shape. 👌
Can’t wait to see you get this back working like the last one you did. Thanks for sharing
This is one of my very favorite channels! I worked at an old full service gas station/garage. Worked on all these type of farm trucks here in Ohio! So much fun and way simpler than the bs from today! Thanks for the memories and entertainment!
That strap thing at 1:48 is a battery carrier and the J bolt before it was a battery hold down bolt. Great truck.
Looking forward to seeing it boogie down the road. Glad to see good hands restoring it's former dignity.
Great truck can't wait to see her mobile.
Yay! Was hoping to see more of the ‘56! Commented when it first showed up………….same vintage as me!
I really like the way you sort your treasures. You really enjoy the way you keep having a great time. Has always I look forward to your next venture.
Nice vid bro, hope to see you driving her soon 😎👍🇺🇸
Diesel fuel doesn't dissolve rust, white or apple vinegar dissolves rust, takes a few days but it works. thanks for sharing
Thanks for the videos! There’s nothing like an old truck!
The strap with hooks on either end is for picking up batteries if you did not know, pretty nice for moving a lot of batteries around when they don't slip off
Good work. I can’t imagine that many people know these trucks like you do.
What a cool looking rig!
Screaming Yellow Zonkers! I got our first band name off the side of the box in the 70's. "The All Armadillo Jazz Sax Rock Band" and then we added to that, "Joe Donk and his Auto Lube Factory, Dr. Nitro and the Skull". The made us shorten the name for the first dance we played because the name wouldn't fit on the Poster.
Hey Brother! I think it's been awhile since you had a good ole 'treasure discovery session'. I always like those because you just never know what you might find. Couldn't wait until you got into another project AND a learning session for us at the same time. God Bless You and don't stop. Thanks!
Looks like it will clean up easy Nice Truck and that a rubber strap to Carrie a battery and hold down rod
That tranny is looking as good as one could have hoped. Looking forward to seeing how things go with the shift rails.
Looks like it should make a nice rig after some love. Almost hope it ends up needing a headgasket just to get the extra video on it. Love the color and body style of it
Good to see you at it :-) The Pepsi can artifact factor... Golden moments :-) Very cool watching you sort these old girls out and making it all work for you. Thanks for sharing :-)
Nice truck. Can't wait to see more.
Screaming Yellow Zonkers! Those are delicious
Nice that the trans is working out. Good video, thanks.
It was a mess in there Hope to see you clean and get her working soon
Fireman 🔥🔥🔥
Glad your doing more videos love your channel
Tin worms in this state are fairly strong when it comes to eating some fine rigs up.... I never seem to find one this good. That transmission was a fine discovery... synchronizers that look like they will live, worst case is some new bearings if have to. I don't recall you being strong on polish but now days there are some really good ones that will clean and with a clay bar, smoother than the lines I used to lure a girl back to my place... this actually looks like its going to work, unlike my bad taste in high there, new in town?? Never worked thirty years ago so why do i still try it. I'm digging the look of this rig and hope it does get some polish if it turns out to be a driver.
other then the normal openings the floors not to bad trucks preatty decent. keep up the good work. cheers.
I've got a pair of floor mats kinda like those. same pattern but different saying. mine says do it in the street. if i lived closer i would think about coming up and seeing about buying them off ya to put in my other truck. but i'm to far away for that. enjoy your video's it brings back a lot of memories of my uncles trucks.
Golly you've got some good luck with this beast. Almost clean as a whistle inside that transmission. Hopefully that headgasket was the previous owner being forward-thinking and providing you with it for when you need it.
Nice truck, that’s going to be a great work truck
Not bad at all. It is always a crapshoot when you open a transmission that old. A little soak in the diesel while you tend to the shifter, and I think the gears and the case with clean up nicely. I think this truck will make a cool vintage daily driver.
love that rig, i think it was an ordnance truck an that might have been a cabin style filter to "help" fight fumes
Excellent!!! Enjoyed the sorting out process, lots of good stuff. The gears in that tranny looked money, just need a good soaking in gear oil. Soak those forks in white vinegar and acetone and they'll look good as new. I am HOOKED, looking forward to the next video!!! Cheers!
Looks good in the trans. Should be an easy fix for you. Thanks for the video 👍
It looks like the truck is made to be right hand drive and left hand drive going by the hole in the floor on the right side of the floor board presumably for the brake master cylinder.
Battery carry strap battery tie down rod.
Nice job Buddy! Regards from Ody Slim
I think this truck is going to make a sassy going to town rig. It's too bad about the carpet though, it just holds moisture damaging whatever it touches. All things considered though, the damage is minimal. The transmission looks remarkably good inside, and will clean up like new. once you get the shifter gone through I think it is going to shift out nice. I think this truck is going to really turn out nice.
Do you have a front axle and transfer case laying around for the truck? That would fun to watch, and it looks really solid.
Such a cool old truck! Hope you can get the tranny all fixed up...
That's funny seeing that you use that Hoover HEPA vacuum I actually found an original Green Machine also I believe made by Hoover and has all the cleaning attachments the whole nine yards at a local Goodwill for $10 complete even with extra slide on filters anyway I treat that thing the same way you treat yours and let me tell you it is far better than any Shop-Vac that I've ever used and yes all you do is bang out the filter actually my filter is washable. As far as the floorboard goes until you're ready just give it an ospho treatment. Yes a product made right here and Ohio and it works great and actually kills the rust and puts a shell over it turning it back into I guess usable metal hahaha. At least it kills the rust anyway you can trust me on that one I use it on my vehicles and their full of rust as I live in Ohio the rust belt! Anyway my friend Thanks for sharing your video I'll be watching as usual many blessings to you and your family as always
4:57 I picked up an ancient Beam central vac for my shop, and it's the same story: it outperforms my regular shop vac and just refuses to die. Though you do need to be a bit careful with sucking up water.
filter is for the hydro boost brake system i think my 1966 has that
Thanks.
great show ! could be longer though !
The strap was a battery handle you pick up post battery's with.
Kinda surprised you didn't find a few 8track tapes I remember they went well with orange shag carpet
Wow takes you that long to clean out a truck .great job
That was a battery hold down bolt. You should save it!
Easy floor to fix though.
Shag carpet is why they had to invent vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners lol
👍🏼🍻
Pepsi and Shirley
Transmission access plate, another thing they should never have done away with.
Easy fix for floorboards. Go out to the highway about midnight with a ratchet and 1/2" socket. Find a road sign close to the size of the floorboard and "borrow"it for a pattern. It will fit so well after hacking on it ya might as well leave it in. Pop rivet to suit. Your taxes paid for that sign so in theory you own it right? Just tryin to help a guy save some money.AL B.
Battery hold down hook and a carrying strap
band aid can is a good find / can not get them any more
WAS ANYTHING UNDER SEAT?
New Process is part of Chrysler Corporation
Looks right for a 56 that truck has a series 2 420 your other truck has a 1st series the other 2 styles were crash boxes
A buddy of mine has a 1952 Ford 3 tonne (like 15 speed), he wants me to re-build the tranny in.
Not looking at all bad. 👍
Probably a 10mm socket in there. LOL
is the clutch stuck ?
You’re lucky you can find that stuff around you down here everything is scrapped
The plastic is a joke with no punch line. 🥴🤣
Oh gear oil🤮
i have ssen parts like the tranny shifter soaked in white vinegar come out really clean just sayin
