Tennis without Roger will never be the same for me. Respect to Novak and Rafa and of course Andy, but for me Roger was the player who raised the bar and brought everyone up with him. His achievements have now been surpassed by Rafa and now Novak, but I’m sure those guys would agree that chasing Roger made them the great players they have become. Thank you Roger.

Exactly. If Sampras had 25 Grand Slams Federer would have 26 or 27. But he broke the record by so much that he got "too cool for school". He clearly had 5 down years in the Middle of his prime. Because he was the record holder. If Roger had 14, Djoko would probably have won like 16-18. It is always like that. That doesnt mean Djoko is BETTER than Roger. Just that he kept his body and had a higher goal.

Bjorn Borg won 11 majors by the time he was just 25, without even contesting the Australian Open.
He was dominant on both the fastest surface (Wimbledon/grass) and slowest (French/clay) Probably could have won a string of US Open titles if he didn't have trouble adjusting to play under artificial lights (lost 4 finals there in night matches).

As a follow-up to #4; there was a similar situation with Delpo and Roger in their '09 US Open final where, early in the match, Roger closes out a game and, as they are walking to their chairs for changeover, Delpo playfully hits a ball at Roger, as if to say, "Cut me some slack Rog! It's hard enough beating you as is"😁

    3) #18 vs Roddick - 10:15
    2) #6 vs Sousa - 3:16
    1) #8 vs Falla - 4:28
Note: It was quite hard to decide between Sousa and Falla. The defensive passing shot winner against Sousa was extraordinary and a Federer-level-only shot, IMO. However!!! In the Falla clip, Federer hits a magical defensive squash shot that skims mere inches above the net and lands inside the service court, setting him up for a transition to offense and subsequent execution of one of the most ridiculous shots I’ve personally ever seen. Two phenomenal shots in a row that I’m positive made thousands of fans drop their jaws in awe. And a prime example of how Federer could make decent professional players look like amateurs. No offense, Falla. I know you took him to five sets once. 😂

You left out Roger reacting to himself on the Jumbotron replays at the US Open or AO.

And unless I’m mistaken he doesn’t need to look at his coach after every point and fist pump just lets an audience enjoy the magic ? Never be anyone like Federer again that’s for sure- Magic is its purist form.

Against Roddick and the last with Djokovic are the best of the list. The sentence that commentator say in Roddick vs Federer is the simple true and shows what Federer is to tennis and why he was loved by those who love TENNIS. He was having fun on the court, that's all.

The toughest shot in this compilation was the shot he hit against Tomic: the half volley down the line from midcourt. The shot against Roddick looked cool, but it wasn't that difficult. Djokovic's get before Roger hit the last shot on the last point, was more impressive than the shot Roger hit.
