    Thanks brotha. I was double knotting the microfiber and it was coming out way to short and to tight. I almost returned it until I saw this video. Now I'm rocking it. Fresh as hell...lol. Thanks bro!

    Cravat is the name in Australia as well. Ascot is a race track!

    I have some pics of some styles of ascot that I want to try with my tuxedo but can't find a video on how to tie them. Is there a way to get you to do a video on those styles?

    What’s the trick to hiding one, when wearing a white dress shirt, since you can kind of see through it?

      +TWAN BUTLER sorry for the delayed response. I want to start off by thanking you for the compliment. It's a tough & creative process but the end result is rewarding. Between the silk and the microfiber, I would definitely reach for the silk or even a rayon like fiber in the summer. Rayon isn't a common fabric for ascots but the texture during the summer may serve you well. In the fall and winter, the microfiber will do you more justice against the outdoor elements.

    An Ascot and a cravat are two entirely different things. Cravats (as shown) are worn, informally, inside the shirt collar.
    An Ascot is very formal daywear, worn under the collar, often held in place with a pearl topped tie pin. These were very popular in Victorian & Edwardian times.
    Now, don't get me started on ruched ties, which also (mistakenly) get called 'cravats'.

    • @malsmythicmanmodes7478
      @malsmythicmanmodes7478 Před rokem

      In the US the terminology is such that cravat is a catch all term for non-tie neckwear, with them then being separated into formal ascots (pearl topped tie pin or a tie ring, worn over the collar) or casual ascots/day ascots in which its presented as in the video and worn under the collar against the skin.
