Virtual World Combo 2021 tutorial #1: Must know combos!

- This is a Virtual World combo tutorial for my Virtual World deck in March 2021 format. Best combo for maintaining hand advantage over the opponent and protects against DRNM/Droplet/etc.. Deck profile on my channel from my most recent top in the win-a-box tournament (-2 DRNM + 2 Nibiru).
This is the best turn 1 combo board in my opinion, especially games 2 + 3 where you can expect the opponent to have DRNM/Droplet/etc.. Love to hear thoughts on the tzolkin end boards too! IMO finishing on tzlokin then having to discard your follow up (Lulu) without a Shen in grave is DANGEROUS !

Turn 3 followup depends on the previous combos a bit, if your board state got to stick together a fair bit, then there's quite some unique follow up you can have!

I'm a noob at actual Yugioh (Duel Links player for like 2+ years) and it's been really hard to get into the actual game. I'm 100% planning on making a turn 2 board breaking combo teaching how to break common boards and OTK or setup massive card advantage I think that video will be even more helpful than this one and is something that many players don't cover but is integral to winning events. Will make it soon!

Probably the best Virtual World combo tutorial ever. Someone who actually knows the in-depth tricks not just a YugiTuber who wants to make a deck profile on a deck they don't know truly know.
Anyways on a very serious note I hope to see what kind of combo paths you pull with Ultimaya+Crystal Wing. I do not think finishing with Mudragon+Dragoon/Caliga is worth the investment due to the massive grind and card advantage you lose if your board is broken and I'm assuming off your mentality of card advantage that you probably agree. Crystal Wing is still a great card though.
Though ngl Mudragon to make Red Hot Abyss is kinda neat for the DRNM/Droplet counter, but I wouldn't say that's worth the investment either just an interesting thing to have in mind for friendly duels.

I don’t know if you happen to play master duel or anything by chance but I’ve always been a fan of virtual world deck but still having a tuff time understanding some combos so this was definitely helpful. I would love to learn some turn 3 board breaks and maybe a good way to form my deck.

In the kauwloon + lili/lulu combo, you can dump xuan with jiji and save it in grave, then make muddy mud, make gaia charger with ptolemy and end on dragoon instead od croc
Tzolkin is a decent alternative and usually you can get Shen+ Crystal wing and a live chuche with Lulu + City if you do your lines right (and end with 2-3 cards in hand+ Follow up) the mudragon stuff is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to risky. There are so few lines that don't lose to a Nib or DRNM/Droplets and even then you have to get lucky and draw Anti-spell or Imperial Order

thanks for posting this. This is an interesting take opposed to the tzolken combo. As someone building budget i've found that the tzolken combo is much worse with caliga as opposed to Dragoon because when you activate jiji in end phase your one monster effect is gone leaving you vulnerable to nibiru. Also one budget option i've found is the card heavenly dragon circle. it's a great discard outlet as you can synch into gai knight and search the tenyi counter trap....Which diversifies your disruptions in the same concept as u discuss here.

Jiji's effect in end phase is resolution, it does not activate then, it activated when targeting a VW card in summoning procederé, no matter what happens it will resolve in end phase.
In my opinion virtual worlds have the potential to become the best meta deck, it's consistent and if it goes a new boss monster it can be to overwhelming for opponents and can get back combo starters faster than salamangreat s

Been testing with small, it's alright. But with hand with just 2 monster in hand, you can use small world to search a droll or ash
relatively new player here. trying to learn this deck. why do you want to make m7 turn 1? wouldn't you just want the level 6s for a later play? do you need the add back that turn?

On the first combo, how did Jiji not get banished when it was used as synchro summon croco while shenshen is on field?

4:53 JiJi should be banished here as shensehn is up this matters because it makes chuche more of a threat on both the next turn and the turn after. Also the send from JiJi could have been the trap Xuanwu in stead of Chuche. The trap Xuanwu could have been used to cycle a card in hand with charge warrior for a draw changing it for the discard as the trap was going to be cycled back with nyannyann

2:00 - City + Lulu (best 2 card combo)
8:45 - Qinglong + Lili (combo out of 'brick')
14:00 - Nyan + JiJi (2 VW name combo)
4:50 - JiJi should be banished because synchro summon under ShenShen (placed it in grave instead, doesn't impact the combo). Also at 5:00 Croc should be chain 1 and Nyan chain 2 :)
what do you do if your going 1st? because its hard to declare anything with the dragon when u dont know what your playing against ( coming from ygo master duel since its not banned there)
I feel like this is 100% the way to go at least after every game one when you know for sure hard blowout cards are getting in. Especially when your extra cards might very well be your own going 1st side choices. Do you still have the dragoon/caliga package in the extra or do you play more utility cards instead of those 3? what do you think about gossip shadow? Also i might be mistaken but i didn't see toutou in your deck? Why not run it at 1 at least instead of upstart? sometimes i used it to pitch dead gammas/drivers to have an extra body for m7 or shenshen. and yeah you should definitely make turn 2-3 combo vids to break boards, i feel like everybody would appreciate them
Toutou to “unbrick” your hand by adding a brick to the deck is counter-intuitive. There are sufficient discard outlets with Qinglong and Xuanwu in grave, and is not a better draw than any other VW monster. Sure, there are scenarios where it can be useful, but most of the time it is an underwhelming draw and it’s more important to draw the VW names that can special summon
i tested it a bit more and yeah, i'm probably gonna cut it, only because sending it to the gy and then special summoning it back with its own effect came up a bit less than when it was simply dead in my hand
question: shouldn`t the jiji get banned fromm shenshen so you can`t search in the Endphase (first combo)

When you Syncro Summoned Croco, you only banished NyanNyan and not Jiji. Shenshen was on the field so Shouldnt get banished when you performed the Syncro Aummon of Croco? What did I miss?
Jiji should be banished. You technically don’t have already two different monster to ban in the grave but you can fix this turn 3 anyway. You can still end up on dragoon this turn by summoning gaia on m7 and making muddragon. But you’d have to pass turn with only 3 cards in hand

I think in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter but Xiezhi is supposed to be banished when you synchro for Crocodragon in the first combo, right?
Would be the effect of jiji to add vw monater from gy still activated even if its banished?
@@chibugansakanto4300 Yes because at end phase it is simply resolving as the effect has already been activated before, doesnt matter that Jiji gets banished

Idk if I'm wrong, but isn't jiji (which you used for crocodragon in the first combo) supposed to be banished instead because of shenshens effect

I really like the video and it realy helped me understand my cool virtual world deck but i have a question.
In the second combo can't you use laolao on qinglong to foolish jiji, make M7 with lili, take jiji from GY, activate it on lulu and get an extra qinglong in GY without using it and saving it for next turn? Correct me if I'm wrong.
OK I just checked. The only difference in the endbords is, that there is an extra qinglong banished so it doesn't really matter.
if shenshen sends every card to the banish zone instead to the graveyard then the first combo makes no sense or not ?
I've watched this video a few times and there is one thing I do not get, maybe I'm being stupid but wouldn't Shenshen banish the Jiji?
Great video man! Just one question. I had very bad times against shaddoll (with invoked and/or dogmatika variants). They have many cards that can bait vw. Do we have any cards to counter them?

If you don't,I suggest playing 3 dark ruler no more in main deck just to counter some decks,cause vw hard loses to dragoon,shadoll and that kind of stuff.A lot of people will say that forbidden droplet is better than drnm cause you can discard cards like xanwo and quinglong,but in my oppinion that isn't the best cause u need to discard for droplet anyways,and also to discart 1 more as a cost for cards u dicarded,drnm does the same thing,just for free.Also,a nice out is ash blossom cause it really hurts either dogmatika and invoked to ash their alister/eclesia,also if you don't usually do it,try to get shenshen on the field as fast as possible cause it destroys shadolls completly.One more tip:always ash their meltdown cause if they already have invocation in hand,they will search alister,and you will expect them to normal alister and than you ash it,but they will just activate invocation and than alisters eff is like "your opponent discards ash blossom from their hand".Also,try to play around dogmatika punishment and remember that none handtraps hurt this deck except ash blossom.Veiler and imperm do nothing just because all efects resolve in hand(even after they are summoned,their 2nd eff is still part of the first one),nibiru can eassilly be countered,and also even if your opponent resolve it,it doesn't hurt the deck much.I hope this helps,it took some minutes to write lol.

Wait, doesn't shenshen banish synchro materials? As far as I'm concerned, synchro materials are sent from field to the graveyard.

how do u deal with Eldlich full handtrap meta in master duel now.
Not to be a downer but im pretty sure the first combo is slightly flawed. I could be wrong but shen shen's macro is for both players not just opponet. So when overlay the M7 and sending lou lou to grave he would actually be banished. Also the summoning of crock dragon would but the jiji in the banished pile as well. So im not sure if the effect in grave activates from its special summoning allowing u to bring lou lou back to your hand in the end face. I could be wrong but i just found that odd. Good combos regardless man.

On the first combo, I thought everything that leaves the field is banished instead cuz of shenshen? How did your monsters keep ending up in the graveyard?/
XYZ material isn't considered to be on field, so detaching from M7 will send the monster to grave (kinda like d-fissure).
But ya Jiji should 100% be banished i scuffed it in the vid xD

xyz material does not count as being on the field, so when he uses m7's effect it does not proc shenshen's banish

Wait how’d you summon crocodragon, he needs a tuner and non tuner. Both nyannyan and jiji aren’t tuners
Nyannyan has an effect to summon itself as a tuner from the GY when another lvl 3 monster is normal or special summoned
Jiji is not a tuner in your last combo to make shenshen, i your first combo two cards are banished because you made shenshen first.

How does the balerdroch combo work?
The idea behind the balerdoch combo is to setup zombie world and stun out certain decks (ex: Tri-brigade cannot play).
You want to make beatrics (rank 6), use its effect to send Necroworld banshee then banish banshee to activate zombie world from deck. its good because it doesnt rely on you hard drawing zombie world and you know every game 2/3 you can search zombie world for the win.
The entire combo is to make beatrice send lancez -> M7 add back lancea - opponents draw phase use beatric to send banshee and activate zombie world (lancea beats tri brigade and dragons and stops cosmic cyclone)

LuLu doesn't float..it searches and replaces a card in hand. To float means to get destroyed and summon another monster to board.
No. Anything that replaced itself is a floater bud. Back in the old days of Yu-Gi-Oh X-Saber Darksoul was considered one of the best FLOATERS. Look it up bud...
Lulu floats in the way that if she makes it in the board without having her effect resolved, say by being Ash'd or by special summon. She can be recurred back to use her effect. It's an important point of the video.

It kinda drives me crazy that you say "Lulu" and "Jiji" but "Kirin" and "Roshi".... My brain yells "please use the names OR the "jobs", don't mix" So "Lulu", "Jiji", "Lili" and "Laolao".
