- Abby (Pauley Perrette) is leaving NCIS and has one last person to say goodbye to: Gibbs (Mark Harmon). She writes him a letter out of fear that if they meet face-to-face, he might talk her out of leaving. The two do get to share a final moment when Gibbs tells Abby he loves her, which is all she ever wanted to hear.

10 years ago when I was stuck in hospital for 5 days due to a spot on my leg...one of the only things to watch was an NCIS marathon on at the time. The Abbey // Mallard back & forth was one of the more fun bits to see.

The show just isn’t the same without the original cast. The cast that built the series. The cast that fans first loved.
Being able to find out what happens behind the scenes is truly a two edged sword. We become enamored of the characters and by extension the actors. Then whether by politics or personality conflicts we find that the real people can't live up to the characters that portray them.

Do you mean the real people can't live up to the characters they potray, because,if so Sean Murray who acts McGee and Bryan Dietzen who acts Palmer haven't disappointed yet.

This probably sounds childish, but my mom loved Abby, so I grew to like the show & Abby too. Now I'm sad because all I have left is memories, pictures & re-runs.
Abby was cool, the actress is banged-up and damaged. She wasn't entirely wrong if Harmon's dog created trouble on set. She's oh so sweet but not a dog-lover. Seing that she could have had the dog killed, things went cold between those two. The irony wasn't lost on Gibbs's last season. He blows up his carreer for a dog. On the surface. He entrusts the dog to his favourite child, son of a of a spy..Abby just poofs wherever she goes.
Keeping a dog for the story made her sympathetic, she's scared shitless in truth.
Have watched all of the NCIS shows from the beginning. Cried when all of the actors die, fell in love. But the worst tears where Abby left, then Gibbs, and the Ducky. Still LOVE that show. When that show comes to then end that will just be heartbreaking. Will for ever be the best cop show out there.
Every time a character left I thought it wouldn't stay good, but it does. Keep watching because it is worth it

Well… Tony came back for a tiny bit which made Ducky’s/David McCallum’s tribute all the more better
My dad ruined all cop shows because he would watch the same episode for days at a time and even my favorite NCIS LA I ended up hating because of him.
Hurts knowing the rift between her and Harmon lead to her desire to leave the show.
final straw but she was thinking of it anyway. Just shows how good an actress she was being able to portray someone really loving another character when in fact she did not like the actor at all
One thing I truly appreciate is that they kept her a goth the whole way through. A lot of parents or people in general thing Goth's are "just a phase" you grow out of as you age, but that's not always the case.

I have been watching NCIS from the beginning. It makes me sad to see all the people who have left the show either cause their story came to an end or they left in real life.
Wife and I stopped watching after Tony left but I can honestly say the show won't be the same without Abby.
Abby was my absolute favourite charakter at NCIS. It made me really sad, that the last cool member of the cast left the show. But i understand why. The show sadly is over for me... :(

The show is still very good. You all are missing out. Ducky is the one I miss the most.
They recently aired the Ducky death episode. I was disappointed when only Tony showed up, Ziva, Abby and Ellie should have been there too. We all know who sent the black roses but that is not the same.
Ziva died so she couldn't have been there.

Abby was the one character in the show I tuned in for, the bosses shot themselves in the foot by letting her go, the show went downhill from then on
Zeva was my favourite character and she had brilliant storylines., never was a fan of mark Harmon though.
The show went downhill slightly when Ziva and then DiNozzo left but definitely went uphill when Schito left and they got a forensic scientist who behaved like an adult and not a spoilt brat.
Abby was the coolest character on the show :)

No the rest of the old team were much cooler than Abby,she was just annoying,always acting like a spoilt, overgrown toddler.
This was one of our most favorite series but honestly I feel like it went on for too long.
You are correct,IMO, the series should have ended many seasons before this, they sacrificed all the main characters and the integrity of the series by trying to wring out every ounce of play time they could get,they should be ashamed of themselves.
It’s kinda sad that she left like that because they couldn’t stand to be around one another.
I’ve kept watching but the writers checked out long ago. You can tell who the bad guy is within 10 mins. There’s no chemistry with everyone but McGee gone..

@@harrisonroig3206Harmon allegedly was bringing his reactive dog on set who ended up biting a coworker and because of that him and Perrette had a huge fight which soured their relationship. Idk of she chose to leave, or was actually fired because Harmon was also a producer of the show.

This was so disappointing. Regardless of their personal differences, they owed us fans a better send off. Waving from across the street was just such a let down. And, shame on Harmon for not showing up for the Ducky tribute.
Basically you're saying she owed you and other fans going near a man and playing friendly with, that she was fucking afraid off? Also, if they had seen each other, prior behaviour would indicate she'd hug him. So, nah man, that's not the way.
I came back to watch this episode cause I stopped watching after Tony left cause Ellie Bishop was a source of annoyance to me. And with Ziva and Tony, my two favroites, gone, Abby and Ducky weren't in episodes enough to keep me from flipping to watch something else until I just stopped watching altogether.
This must of been so hard for Pauley to actually say considering how much she hated Mark at this point.
Actors will say anything that's in the script as long as the money's good enough.
Loved her and I missed her character terribly 😊.

Yes,guess their not as commanding as Gibbs,as fantastically good looking as DiNozzo and most every body else seem to think he is,as awesome as Abby and most everybody else seem to think she is,I just found her annoying with her infantile behaviour and her"Gibbs,Gibbs,Gibbs".
Their just two kind,decent,nice looking but not fantastically good looking guys,in fact their just ordinary and forgettable to most people.

How many people would start watching NCIS again if Gibbs,Tony,Ziva and Abby came back and McGee left as despite him been my favourite character he appears to be the most unpopular character with most viewers even Director Vance seems to be more popular with most viewers.

I never understood what the draw was for Gibbs. I never thought Harmon could act. Always the same thing in every situation. Made me think of Shatner but on downers.
More like Kevin Costner. At least Shatner had some range in his acting. :D

Definitely Not,she was the most annoying female character in the series followed by Alex Quinn and M.Allison Hart,even Paloma Reynosa was a better character.
It couldn't come soon enough. Watching a 50 year old woman play a character 20 years younger was pretty painful.
Add on she is the only character to not have any growth at all.
You're right about her have no development but that is hardly Pauley's fault.
@@ClassicHarleyQuinn Other actors in the Series like Bryan Dietzen and Sean Murray have said they didn't want their characters to remain the same for the entire time they were in the series,like the NCIS version of Maggie Simpson,so they told the scriptwriters and production crew and they discussed ways of developing the characters,what stopped Pauley Parrotte doing the same thing,unless of course she liked the character they way it was.

@@annkynaston3605 Don't be a misogynist. Harmon brought his dog to set. It bit a member of the crew member, requiring stitches. He continued to bring the dog to set. She and several others wanted the dog off set. But, everyone was afraid to say anything because he was a producer. Except Miss Perrette. He refused. That's what caused the rift. This is pretty well know.
Abby was the best part of this show.

and the show made that a cheese when she came back for one ep. but nobody except gibbs knew. then word has it that offscreen she finally let tony know and they were together (season 17 episode 16 mentioned it)

A dog bit her; she wanted the dog removed from set, he didn't - they argued and maybe things turned equally physical. Whatever the case, she left to do her own thing, the situation was resolved one way or another.
And after she left, her career tanked. Ha!

I stopped watching after Abby left. The show died after she left.
We went from Pauley to Diona Reasonover and the lab is crap now. Pauley made Abby something special and we lost a great story line and actress only to be replaced with a second rate DEI hire. After Abb's left, the show went to hell...miss Abb's and Bert, her farting Hippo.
So glad when she left - Can't stand her. Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) is much better

Gibbs might have thought of Abby as a surrogate daughter just like he thought of all the other girls in the team as surrogate daughters but in real life he probably just thought of them all as co-stars though ones he was very fond of.

The two most annoying characters on NCIS were Abby Schito and Alex Quinn played by Jennifer Espesito.

But what writer may have been referring is that it has been claimed that Pauley Perrette may have been terrified of Mark Harmon's dogs.
@@rickappling5470 followed by a claim he bodychecked her for complaining about the dogs. Then well some wondered why after those events later talked about. we saw abby and gibbs together less often in show. so yeah. that's why
@@rickappling5470 Pauley said she didn't feel safe which is fair enough and she is a dog person as well. His dog did leave someone needing 15 stitches. Mark refused to listen and it just escalated from there. It could have been sorted if they both sat down and talked and came to a solution that they were both happy with.
Then I think Pauley probably misunderstood stuff and that lead to her claims. I just think she was on edge and stressed after the whole dog thing. I do take note how happy she and everyone was in early seasons behind the scenes video compared to her final seasons.
She hasn't said anything on this but I also don't think Pauley was happy with how Abby was written at times. Like her storylines being abruptly ended for example and getting very little development compared to everyone else etc.
@@cwolf201 It wasn't just that, she was harassed on-set by him and threatened because she didn't wanna be on-screen with him anymore. He tried to throw his weight around as someone who's been in the business for years (because when he was growing up, he was taught that men are superior to women, especially in Hollywood) and he threatened to have her kicked out of Hollywood for it. She went into great length about it, the dogs were just the beginning of the torment he put her through. She said she had no issues with the actor who played Tony (even though other actresses have come forward saying they've been sexually harassed by him iirc) and then that's when she dropped the bombshell that Marc was threatening her if she said anything about her departure from the show, etc.
She alone , is why I would NEVER watch this show 👎👎
