The problem i have with Quake RTX is that there's really no care given to the textures. They look awful. Instead of redrawing them in the original style, but with higher reolution, properly, they look as if they were just AI upscaled, with autogenerated normal maps. Can't say that this is what happened exactly, but that's how they look like to me.
dynamic resolution scaling is key here (0:21). When disabled you get about 80 fps in 1440p and about 30 fps in 4k. Thanks for the video.
Those things with clubs and spikes for hands used to freak me out...
Impressive!!!
Impressive looking mod.

Will you do a playthrough of the entire game?
Maybe one day if I have more free time.
Imagine this game in Unreal Engine :)
Q2 in UE 5.2 with lumen, nanite, high res textures and high poly models 🤤
@@AMD718 I mean created from A to Z in unreal. There are some hi res mods for this game and they looks much better than rt version.
@@montazownianr1 well, I'd fully welcome a Quake 5 done from scratch in UE5. Q2 remaster? Sure why not.
Weapons cheat or mod?
Just "give all" command in console. Wouldn't use normally but just for the video.
@@AMD718Ok.
