    I am too late to the proper skincare game! Previously, I would look up any influencers' recommendation on skincare and products. Once I found Dr. Dray, Dr. V, Dr. Maxfield and Dr. Shah's Doctorly, Dr. Daniel Sugai's channels, I have stopped watching influencers like Hyram, James Welsh, and others. I would trust the advice and recommendation of the dermatologists who studied skin for 12 years and literally in practice treating patients (theory + experience) more than influencers. Thank you. Thank you. I cannot be grateful enough for you Dr. Sugai. I feel like I wanna send you a gift. 🙏

My question is what order do we put these 3 in our routine? Adapalene, hyaluronic acid serum and niacinamide serum? Then I follow with pm moisturizer.

    I have a long story about acne. Acne became my friend or enemy since I had 17, now I have 32 and still with acne. No doctor could helped me in my country. I did managed all by my self for some years, took the wrong road but had a clear skin for a few years. Now at 32 it is again with me, my dear acne. I don't even know how a clear skin looks like...I was also.in depression( still I am) because of this, just that now I managed better the issue as I am older but when I had 17 years until 20 , I didn't go outside the house , just at school... I can't find products good for my skin as I tried many of them, and now I don't use alchool or fragrance on my skin, not even talc in makeup. Since Covid start I also lost a lot of hair, I know is a hormonal thing... I also had a diet, no sugar, no meat, no carbohidrates and my skin was looking good. Long story about, but this is a real issue for young people, and I wish I can do something for them as for me was horrible and nobody could understand me on that period of time... I subscribed to this channel maybe I will find out more about acne, or find products good for me... at the moment I am using just from La roche posay products and aloe vera gel...and they are good but not helping me with my acne...

    I used to used benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid together all the time and it never bothered me and my skin was great, never had big issues, I’ve had milia for a long time but no serious acne. Then I hit my thirties and acne just started coming out of nowhere in clusters, and no amount of BP or SA worked! Tried differin and couldn’t really tolerate it, found out later I was using too much too soon. I was at a loss! I saw a Dermatologist for this first time and she gave me tretinoin. Worked great and was the only thing that got rid of my milia. But can’t really afford so I tried differin again. I've been using it for a couple weeks and I think it’s working.

    I've been using Differin for 4 months consistently (at least 6 times per week) for acne. My skin tone has improved so much and my pores are barely visible, I don't get irritation or redness, but I still get pimples regularly (4-5 per week sometime even more). I started to think my acne was better regulated before when I used benzol peroxide gel, but I hear and read everywhere that Adapeline is the most effective treatment. I'm confused, I don't know if I should quit Differin and continue with Benzol Peroxide or continue with Differin for a few more months and hope for change. Thank you in advance for your help.

    • @hanahle985
      @hanahle985 Před rokem +3

      Not a dermatolpgist but why not use both benzoyl peroxide and adapalene together since they're both the active ingredients in the Epiduo gel. I used Differin gel on most nights for about 4-5 months and it improved my skin significantly. I purged like crazy during the first 2-3 months but it gets way better after the 4th month. I reckon keep going with adapalene and add on the benzoyl peroxide to help kill the bacteria that causes acne and see how that goes. Everyone is different though so I hope that you'll figure out something that works for you. Good luck!

    Dr Sugaui no offense but doing a simple 3 day fast will heal pretty bad acne. These products don’t get to the root cause of the gut and hormones problems. Just get your patients and followers to water and dry fast for permanent healing results. Thank you! 🙏🏼🎈🎁 (thumbs up)

    • @alexandraw887
      @alexandraw887 Před rokem +7

      This has to be the worst advice I've seen so far. Dry fast means nothing can be consumed aka absolute fasting- no water, broth, or tea. Most people drink water as well and you should not be only drinking water especially to help clear acne. Do more research before giving horrible advice especially since you're not a physician.

    • @ciarrawilson6080
      @ciarrawilson6080 Před 5 měsíci

      Respectfully, please do not tell people to fast without the supervision of a medical practitioner. I’m saying this as someone in esthetician school, part of our course is learning how diet impacts your skin. Yes processed sugar and heavily processed foods aren’t the best for your skin. Yes excessive sugar will cause glycation and bind to collagen fibers in the skin and can worsen inflammatory conditions but it will not cause them. If the problem is hormonal a patient should be referred to a physician, no amount of diet changes is going to completely correct a hormonal issue, it may help, but it won’t completely fix it. Telling people to fast for 3 days without medical supervision is wrong and dangerous.
