With Hispanic and indigenous ancestry, I have experienced a lifetime of covert, subtle and not so subtle racism, especially when I lived in the Pacific Northwest town of Bend, Oregon, from 1983 to 2014. “Where are you “really” from?” Was a weekly question. I traveled after 911 and was stopped four times as I criss crossed the country. My seat was changed, I was instructed I couldn’t speak on the plane, I was separated from other passengers. The treatment and reactions to me - a girl who grew up on a beach in Los Angeles county, was completely based only on my name and the color of my skin. Because my mothers side is European, I was shocked to be treated this way. But I’m brown enough and that’s all it took. This stuff is real everybody. Don’t think it’s not.

I too faced some racism when I came to Germany, our state NRW is the most culturally diverse in Germany but still, there were some minor incidents. I sometimes get weird looks from some people when they see me. A woman in IKEA once started murmuring upon seeing me and my friend, who were only checking some pans and stuff whilst standing near her. A couple of young women on the opposite side of a train platform showed us a middle finger, without any reason, we were just waiting for a train. Our only crime, maybe we look like some Arabian refugees to them, which we are not. We're some students from Pakistan. The majority of the Germans are nice to us but some make us wonder, what damage did we ever do to them?
There have been other incidents where people from our region are sometimes discriminated against when it comes to being offered some job or an apartment for rent. Some people don't want us to be working with them or living alongside them. Some were rejected when they went for random blood donations and the German doctors told them, we don't need blood donations from people belonging to your country.

I was born and raised in Germany nrw and I am Muslim and it’s awful, I am sorry that you had to go through that. I only get really bad loos which make me very insecure and the worst is that the discrimination and racism I faced were mostly backhanded, my teachers especially would kinda let me know they didn’t care but acted all kind and then when I would get graded like everyone else it would always be a B or C never the same as the others no matter how good I really was. Now I moved to Niedersachsen and Jesus where k live are almost 0 immigrants only German people and yeah it is Germany obviously but the looks I get here make me feel so bad in my own skin..there are good and bad ones of course but no matter what no matter how good of a person they are they always let me know that I am not part of them. Like I don’t call myself German but I was born and raised here, I technically am German at one point, I wouldn’t be able to go home (there were a couple of people who asked me if I ever plan to go "home") and adjust to the system over there. I have a mixed culture and way of thinking since I combined both languages and country’s but still in both country I am not a 100% welcomed and never good enough. I always dreamed of moving to America since it’s very diverse but it’s not any better than here.

It’s a dude venting… all the best comedians agree… jokes are only funny when you LOVE the topic.
Hence, this shit isn’t funny and it’s just boring and venting… it has its place but not in the category of comedy.

@@cybertrk "when you LOVE the topic". If you dont love the topic, that just makes it unfunny for you, not everyone? You said it like a matter-of-fact. Dave Chapelle rants about abortion laws, thats literally the same thing, venting.

Phobia is an irrational fear , when they kill in thousands blow up buildings and kill who speaks against their purported prophets and try to kill our great authors like Salman Rushdie ( piece be upon him ) the fear ain't irrational anymore : so it isn't islamo"phobia" .
