One of the best comedians of all time. Rarely a curse word; in fact, Dennis shows a remarkable skill with the English language. He conveys picture stories in a vivid fashion with which few of us are familiar. A gloriously funny way to share humor. RIP, Dennis. Indeed, you made my world better by allow me to smile and laugh till I hurt.
The absolute hardest I ever laughed in my life was when I saw Dennis' Fiber One bit (1:25 to 2:55) in this special some 25 years ago. Truly a remarkable comic, RIP Mr. Wolfberg.
I am thrilled beyond belief that I finally found these. I have been looking for anything Dennis Wolfberg for years. Hilarious Still..... timeless...classic...BRILLIANT!
I only discovered him about a year ago. What a delivery!! So much fun to listen to! And so entertaining that he can use big words, and not have to swear, to deliver those great punch lines. What a shame he's still not with us.
I love blue humor as much as anyone. But DW proves that it is much more difficult to work "clean" while still being hilarious. I only wish that I could have seen him live. Gone far before his time.
One of the greatest comedians of that era. I come back every few years to get my fill again. RIP Dennis Wolfberg. Sometimes, great people die too young.
I finally found the genius of Dennis Wolfberg online. I have been looking for videos of this comic genius for years! I miss him very much. God bless him!
I had no idea he passed away from cancer - too sad. I only learned about him back then when I saw him on a rerun of 'Just for Laughs' and knew that I had to see him preform. I too caught him live in the early 90s and laughed so hard that my head ached afterwards! It really was his facial expressions that made him so hilarious that gave the right emphasis when he needed it. His colonoscopy bit is probably the hands-down funniest performance EVER... You will be missed Dennis...
For 'iralarry': Dennis did have cancer in his colon, but it had metastacized to many of his internal organs, beginning with the skin cancer known as malignant melanoma. His promoter was explaining to the concert manager in my home town, why he had to cancel, after two postponements (I had seen him at this venue once), and I too was despondent...the same disease killed my brother in 1992. Dennis was indeed a BRILLIANT comic...and I actually wept, after hearing that he died, and the reason why...
Saw him live in Indianapolis about 15 years ago with my first wife. I was in tears at least 3 different times during his set. Still goes down for me as one of the funniest to ever live. And so underrated, mostly because video is so hard to come by. A great posting. Thanks!
Saw Dennis in Irvine Ca Improv 1988,I have 3 girls, twins were second batch just like Dennis, but his are boys,so I immediately identified with him.Funniest guy I ever saw.Met him and talked with him after the show. The most humble and genuine person I have ever met....Miss him so much.Hope his boys and mom are doing well.
What are the chances Im gonna sprout muffins! I haven't seen this in years but it brings back late night memories of my youth watching this on HBO. Im so sad to hear he passed. RIP Dennis Wolfberg
I remember seeing Dennis on Letterman and many years back,,he is absoultely the funniest ,very excellant, sorry to hear he has left us ,but he will live on in my memories
Correction: Dennis passed on from Melanoma He was at the beach and stayed in the sun too long...Skin cancer is what killed him.... It's his style of story telling that sells the audience yes the material is good but it's more so the execution...We worked together many times..a truly sweet man...RIP Dennis
You Tube is wonderful in that I get to relive great moments in television over and over again. I loved this guy. His humor is hysterical and timeless. I can only imagine how huge his career would have been had he lived.
Dang, I stumble on him after so many years not seeing him anywhere, and find out he's been dead since '94? I would've sworn up and down I'd seen him a million times since then somewhere on TV. A master at what he did. RIP.
+rongravy Maybe Quantum Leap? He was Gooshie on that show in the final season. He did a lot of stand-up though and he was very funny, especially the way he presented the jokes.
I was fortunate enough to see Mr Wolfberg on Pat Sajak's late night show... I've tried for YEARS to remember his last name... or to find someone that might have caught his act on the show too... I was shocked to learn of his passing... He was a fabulous comedian... and he will be sadly missed... Cottonclarksa... You posted perfectly!!! he was very well spoken... articulate... & Incredibly funny... So much to appreciate in a comedian!!! I've shared these videos with my children... Hoping they will be as entertained as I am... R.I.P Dennis Wolfberg... Thank you for making me laugh.... & laugh...& laugh...&...
Does it get any better than this?? No. I remember the first time I ever saw him was on Byron Allen's late night show (yeah, he had one!) and I was screaming!!! I was so sorry to learn of his passing and I hope he his blessed and safe. Even if it was just for a few minutes, he surely made me smile. Love you and miss you, Dennis. The angels must have needed you at home.
I have to suggest that this is the funniest guy who ever lived. I laughed so hard I woke my wife upstairs. I had been wondering recently where he disappeared to and I discovered he died, of colon cancer no less in the early 90's! and I was despondent for days. I went to wiki him and there is no entry, NONE, ladies and gentleman. I feel compelled to start it out. Please, start or add a wiki entry, he so deserves it, so does his family. Such a loss, but the vids are always here. RIP dear man.
Same thing happened to me. The first time I saw his routine on TV I was crashing on my cousin's couch and had the TV on low, but I woke him up downstairs anyway... Like Van Gogh, he apparently was a late bloomer who discovered his genius and worked to perfect it.
The funniest comic of all time! He only lived about four years after this show. His wit, delivery, timing and command of the English language is amazing.
To say this guy was unsung is an understatement . I agree . He's the funniest stand up comic of all time . The strange thing is I try to watch him every few years , but I can't remember his name . I'll search and search until I find him . I'm always rewarded . Truly brilliant .
Thanks so much for posting this Toptrotter! Dennis was always one of my favorites and it is so hard to find any of his work around. If you have anymore Dennis video, please post!
I hope I come across the routine he did about the accident with the cab driver ... the punch line was when the driver ... "suggested I perform a particular act upon myself, apparently assuming I was not only hermaphroditic but double-jointed as well" (sorry, not quite verbatim).
His style compelling he used vocabulary so effectively. Ashamed that I lost touch and didn't know of sad demise. Ironic it was colon bearing in mind his wonderful ditty on the topic. Is interesting that of the few comedians I enjoy, Michael McIntyre and Tim Minchin, both have Wolfberg attributes. Delivery (MM) and vocabulary (TM). Will enquire at HMV for dvds but pessimistic. Have re-watched, after 25 years, the vids here and laughed continuously. Yes RIP and thank you.
@iralarry I had the exact same thing happen to me! I was watching it with the headsets on, and I was laughing so hard, I shook the bed and woke her up!
Sad that this medical procedure that he's joking about was probably the start of his diagnosis of Colon cancer that killed him. I wonder if he knew at this time he was dying?
One of my favorite comedians of all time. So sad that he's no longer with us.

His writing, timing, and presentation were exquisite. Grade AAA+++
I must agree...one of the top 2 or 3 FUNNIEST comics of ALL time....love Dennis Wolfberg...miss him...R.I.P. .
RIP Dennis Wolfberg. We had the opportunity to see you in Las Vegas before you passed. 1988
The absolute hardest I ever laughed in my life was when I saw Dennis' Fiber One bit (1:25 to 2:55) in this special some 25 years ago. Truly a remarkable comic, RIP Mr. Wolfberg.
About to start my wife on Fiber One-will keep posted.

If I laugh any harder at the Fiber One and rigid sigmoidoscopy routines, I may collapse. This is pure classic.
I finally found the genius of Dennis Wolfberg online. I have been looking for videos of this comic genius for years! I miss him very much. God bless him!
Pure gold. Without a doubt the best comic I've ever seen.
I forgot how much I miss him. What was delivery he had.
I had no idea he passed away from cancer - too sad.

Extremely funny. Laughed til it hurts. His facial and vocal variances and stresses are genius. In the highest class of comedy presentation's.

His other good story about "The Bris" of his son! I need to hear that again. RIP Mr. Wolfberg!
They oughta call Fiber One Fiber 2 because that is the number you are going to be obsessed with! This is exactly why I won't eat that cereal.
Does it get any better than this?? No. I remember the first time I ever saw him was on Byron Allen's late night show (yeah, he had one!) and I was screaming!!!

I come across such as you every now and again. He didn't die of colon cancer. He died of melanoma (skin cancer). He is represented on Wikipedia.
Same thing happened to me. The first time I saw his routine on TV I was crashing on my cousin's couch and had the TV on low, but I woke him up downstairs anyway... Like Van Gogh, he apparently was a late bloomer who discovered his genius and worked to perfect it.
A terrific comedian. RIP, Dennis.
"I'VE GOT THE CHRYSLER BUILDING IN ME!!!"

Imagine this comic line up...Opening, Mitch Hedberg...then Dennis Wolfberg, and the main comic...Sam Kinison. Now I know why they call it Heaven.
I saw Dennis live and saw Sam in 1987 - wish I coulda seen Mitch
One of the best! Lmao
I hope I come across the routine he did about the accident with the cab driver ... the punch line was when the driver ... "suggested I perform a particular act upon myself, apparently assuming I was not only hermaphroditic but double-jointed as well" (sorry, not quite verbatim).
I've been looking for this patricular show for quite some time- thanks so much for posting!
My new favourite comedian. Why do the funny ones always die :(

The next best thing after Rodney
this was great. i have to ask though, has technology improved since then? or at least will it in the next 19 years?
How does he prove it?
i saw him on an episode of quantum leap the other night on g4.
rick weller me too he was my favorite person in quteum leap episodes even though he was a,very small part.
I disagree that his material is not that good. His sense of irony is hilarious, My favorite comedian of all time.
Petite feet
