Just saying : The work out pants you wear with the stripes really help to show the movements you are demonstrating. Thanks for helping us learn.
Thank you for the feedback, that helps a lot!
I love the Bob Blurb! He should contribute some comments that way, if he wants to say anything else that Brad and Mike didn't mention 😊
Great to hear you guys are liking the blurb!! He does contribute to the information in the videos, as he helps write the info!
I hope Bob is doing good. Appreciate the good advice. ✌🏽
He is, thank you!
Thanks for the video I do miss Bob not that it isn’t good 😊
Bob Blurb: We love you, Bob, and miss you! Praying you are well.
Thanks, guys. I like the tape idea better than the corn kernels in the shoe. 😉
Thanks! LOL, it's a lot less painful
I Love you guys so much I needed to see this video having issues with my walking prayers and LOVE for Bob ❤🙏🏼❤️
Great to hear you liked it!
Miss you Bob!
Great video.
Great info. Thank you.
Prayers for Bob. Hope he is well. 🙏
Stopped at the 1:07 mark to comment on what you just said. WOW!! That is *exactly* what I have been doing for close to the last 7 to 8 months. It really helps. Thanks fellas!
Glad to hear you are on the right track :) Thank you for watching
Thank you for the simple, easy to understand instructions. I’ll give them a try.
I loved this video! I am in PT now ps triple arthrodesis and I had to Unlearn my old walk, and Relearn by doing weird walks back and forth. Your video is Great for an additional practice! Thanks you 3 🎉
Very good explanation. I understood fully. Thanks.
Thanks a lot for this video. It has changed my life.
Thanks guys! such a great video.
Bob Blurb! Love it! Going to try this soft walk
Your videos are great. Go Bob! We love you!
Glad you like them!
Could please show a video/clip of someone actually walking in the way you are prescribing here. I find it difficult to conceptualize the actual walk, since heel first is so natural.
This is BS. You are right. Heel first is the natural, normal way to walk. No push off with the rear toes. Pelvis moves forward with the rear leg swinging forward. Minimal effort. Running is a different story.
Great exercise again.. will work on it. Thank you for sharing guys! Until next video. Request for more foot drop exercises again please
Will add it to the list! Thank you so much for your support :)
Enjoyed the video & the Bob blurb.
Great to hear!!
Thanks guys 👍 very thorough session 💜
Great to hear, thank you for watching
I had a stroke, that’s causing me to walk with a locked knee. I’m going to try this. Thanks ❤️
My dad always stressed heel to toe walking and I’ve had hip pain for years. Definitely will try soft walking!! And I’ll add that exercise to my morning routine. Thanks and hope Bob is doing ok
bob passed away today😢😢i am very soory to tell this...he was my mentor. Rest in peace dear bob.
@@football_2828 bob's fine according to replies from the channel to other comments, ignore this clown
Thanks!
@@justsomeguy898 @ Thank you! I was startle 😧.
@@football_2828 You are a troll. Back under your dilapidated bridge.
I have come to the conclusion that aging is not graceful, it takes work to stay fit and upright, and it just generally sucks. This channel provides hope and practical demonstrations to help lessen the impact of aging.
Glad to hear we can be helpful, thank you for watching!
Thank you for these tips
You are very welcome!
I LIVE YOU GUYS. THAT IS WHAT I JUST FIGURED OUT IVE BEEN DOING ALL MY LIFE. I was born Frank Breech - butt first, face down and folded in half. Something happened last august while doing standing split in yoga. Healing that has made me realize it- and you just validated my thinking and how I’ve focused what I don’t do
Glad to hear it, thank you for watching
Great tips!
Quick recovery to Bob🙏🙏
thanks my sore hip, knocked knees and foot cramps appreciate this!!!!😅
Interesting and I will definitely be aware of walking with softer knees, land in the fore foot and strengthening the glutes with the leg kick exercise. Thank you again for all your advice. 🙏💝
Wonderful!
Thank you Bob for keeping on keeping on! It's what PT is all about 💪🙏
Always!
Thanks for this. I’m going to try it.
Sounds great, hope it helps!
appreciate the help!
We are happy to do it!
Would keto tape work? My massage therapist has been trying to get me to see and feel when I lock my knees while walking. I have trouble getting it right and easily fall into bad habits if not keeping my attention on it. I believe your tape trick will do the job. Thank you!! Missing Bob. Very glad you are still here Brad I've built years of trust in you two
Thank you guys. Hi Bob! I have Lambert Eaton my aesthetic syndrome and I have RA. I cannot get down into weird positions. But I can do the standing up one. I try to walk every day and it’s hard to walk on the front of my feet I will keep trying. Thank you very much you guys and by the way I’m 76 so I need to readjust a lot of my stuff. Ha ha ha.
Works well for running too! 👍
Having the right shoes can be another important part of walking pain free. If you are looking for a new pair of walking shoes check out this video first czcams.com/video/RCRZG7jrIvI/video.html
This is a helpful, fascinating discussion! Thank you both!
thank you
This was helpful in my walking meditation. I definitely will start focusing on a soft knee!
Great to hear!
Thank you.
I was searching this just now and you guys posted just than a day ago....God really loves me it seems
Yes He does
@@BobandBrad WOW ❤️
Thank you all. Hey Bob!
You are very welcome :)
THANKS AGAIN
You're welcome!
Nice video, miss Bob but good video
Forefoot walking gait pattern is not a normal gait pattern, heel strike is normal. Forefoot contact in the gait cycle is actually abnormal.
Thanks for your feedback
Thanks for the moment with yours good vibe I must learn correctly walker, pain😢sam time drops?
Hi guys, I am mildly allergic to regular adhesive tape (looks like little red ants crawl around any bandage that’s been adhered to my skin). In subsequent surgeries I always request “paper tape”. I even bought some at The Dollar Tree for my own use at home.
Glad to hear you have found an alternative! It is a common allergy unfortunately
Please more Bob Blurbs!
For sure!!
@@BobandBrad Thank you!
Sir thank you🙏
Remember seeing a video years ago called Walkactive. English lady called Joanna ??? Explains this way to walk correctly
Thanks for sharing!
your video is incredible!
thank you a lot!
Wow. I have been walking incorrectly my whole life. When wearing shoes I always get uneven wear and tear and shortly after holes in the heel area of the sole. Also, have been expierencing knee pain when walking long distances
Thanks, guys! I feel like I'm ahead of the game here bc I have to walk on my forefoot due to PF. I got some copper compression straps today (perfect timing on vid, as always), & they have made it even easier! Hi, Bob...that blurb is a great addition!
Great! Glad you like the blurb :)
Was at the Dr today and told that I have both Iliotibial Band Syndrome and Trochanteric Bursitis. It hurts.. ha. I'm 68, and not liking this very much. The Dr recommended I watch your YT channel for exercise to help me. Can you please let me know which video(s) I should watch and do? Thanks so much.
Here are a couple:

Best of luck!
@@BobandBrad . Thanks so much !!!!
Do you have anything to say about the "barefoot" shoes? Some ppl say it helps with avoiding heel striking. But are they a bad idea for other reasons? Or does it all just depend on so many factors like what you are doing and where you are walking and how long you take to get used to wearing them?
How much do you need to engage glutes when walking, is it a subtle engagement of the muscles or maximum tightening/clenching?
Where is the tape to buy?
Can you give us more info on what type of tape we can use once we’ve tried it with the masking tape?
This helps.
Great to hear!

Bob Blurb! 🙌
Glad you liked it!
👋 I like Mike’s shoes!what brand are they?👟
Where is Bob?
Bob was diagnosed with Aphasia some time ago and is working behind the scenes as his speech is affected
@@kaygataki6163
No.
The diagnosis is/was:
Ataxia.
Same thing I thought after began lol
Thanks Brad and Bob for this channel, it helps whole lot!
He is the Director now! 🎉
I think I must have missed what the tape is that is used for the application. Can anyone tell me? Thanks in advance.
I’ve been limping for 6 years
Because I was put on a drug 3 different times for a UTI infection well
It caused damage to my Achilles tendons
I didn’t know that a bone spur was forming on my left ankle because of the damage and inflammation
Both my ankles were so bad I hardly could walk to a room a few steps away , the pain was so bad and still is from my left foot now.
I went to doctors that told me to use ice and they would heal
Well
My right ankle healed up almost back to normal
My left didn’t
I had a X-ray that shows a spur that’s stabbing my Achilles tendon
Now the doctor wants me to have surgery
I don’t want surgery
Is there anything I can do to walk without pain?
What was the red line on Brad’s leg? A scar or something drawn for demonstration?
I am an overpronator and I think I have the opposite problem, in fact due to the femoral internal rotation I suffer from hypertonicity of the buttocks, I am doing exercises where I try to stiffen the knee in the transition from supination to pronation phase, I don't know if I am doing it right...blessing from italy!!
Thank you for watching
When i use a standing desk I tend to lean forward and put a lot of pressure to the front of my legs knees, causing numbness. Is there any way to prevent that?
That's a great question and would make a pretty good video, I have added it to our to do list
Yes, being 62 ,I will have to on my butt muscles.😊 And where's Bob? I have the same thing he's got.
Bob works behind the scenes mostly now
Excellent content. I really miss the B&B banter though. I think this place needs more humor.
Watching this after three days in Lisbon 😂
Can you please address vestibular issues. It's not my ears. Was told to find pt that can help with this
What kind of dizziness do you experience?
I have added this to our to do list!
So not “heel Toe” for balance in PT?
I Have Mike's shoes! YAY I KNOW IM TAKING THE RIGHT STEPS!!! ohh if I could you all my symptoms! where are yo guys based out of?
Great! He loves them! Our studio is in Minnesota.
What tape at 2:11 is made for this??
You can just use masking tape
NOBODY walks with their knee straight, as you posit. have you ever tried that? Virtually everybody walks with their knee slightly bent and a gentle forward tilt from the ankles while landing on their heel and rolling across the midfoot to the toes. That combination absorbs the shock of both walking and running. You guys don't know what you're talking about. You might be the most famous physical therapists on the Internet but you're not the best-informed physical therapts on the Internet.
Agree...
One thing I complain about is I had to learn to do walk again but feel they didn't teach me how to walk ... after a sci
Sorry to hear that
This is how Ballet dancers ‘walk’ when they are on stage, I think
What about if you're using a cane due to knee pain for several months
Just be careful trying it with a cane. We don't want you to lose your balance
@@BobandBrad thanks, I’m trying to adjust back into not using the cane but I don’t want to go to fast in my progress
Exercising glutes does help in correcting your walk!
Yes!
How do you become a physical therapist?
Generic Science bachelor's degree, then 2 years PT Master's + third year for doctorate of PT is my understand
@@BaritoneMonkey it's different around the world, but you don't need a doctorate to become a physical therapist. You take of course take the Dr. Degree afterwards
College :) Try shadowing one first to see if you like it!!
Hmm. My knees hyperextend by quite a bit. I'm not capable of locking them while I walk. Unless I want to walk like a bird. 😅
LOL
Anyone else try this and find out its quackery?
The guy who is working with Brad, is he wearing Whitin barefoot shoes?
Yes!
Oh cmon! I like long strides!!!
Right, I know!
0:27-0:33 😂
Thank you for watching!
Obviously you don’t stiff leg walking
Please do not trip by walking on your forefoot by not raising your toes. Be careful!
For sure!!
Too complicated
Too much talking
