  • "Lip Taping" is the newest lip trend. They are utilised to maintain the lip's elevation and flatness and stop filler migration. But does it actually work? Here’s my view.

    So glad you came out with this video. There is someone from UK who sells masterclass training for this taping technique. She dissolves and refills lips within 1 hour too. I can see the migration when she does post pics 1 month after injection. I feel sorry for those spending $$ on learning wrong technique.

      Omg i feel so desperate now
      I booked a Stripp Lips Appointment because i have migration but the doctor in the video said not to touch the vermillon border so whats wrong with dissolving & refilling within 1 hour ?

    I had a very thin top lip it looked like a pink piece of dental floss! It took me 2 years to gradually get up to lips that I'm happy with. You can't do it all at once if you have thin lips.

    I have clients who have Russian lips without migration over time because Russian lip technique avoids the boarders, used smaller threads of filler in tiny little deposits of filler threads. Signature style is lateral against boarder higher potential for migration over time with also higher amounts of filler being deposited each injection as gauge is bigger for most of signature techniques.

      Yes! Thank you! I didn't think he was on point. My Russian lips are very flat. I did them myself. I didn't even use half a CC! 💋

      My lips are by same girl since 2015 and micro droplets technique, her own, before russian lips technique existed. I dont have migration and usually i go to her every 8 or 10 moths, when we were building my lips at begining i visited her every 5 months. And... we have done nearly every visit - 1.5ml at once! And i do not have migration, my lips still look quiet lifted, without asking anyone i have got nice comments about my lips from strangers... but my girl keeps her technique in secret, she doesnt make videos, not teach others.... what she also post - only a photos of clients with their healed lips, client own photos.

    The last time I got my lip filler topped up, it had been 2 years since my last top up, and although the centre and outer corners of my upper lip needed some more, I asked my surgeon not to touch the vermillion border as it still had projection and didn't need any more. He fully agreed. So, that worked really well!

    What do you think about butterfly lip technique? Dissolving and refiling lips in 1 sitting?
    I know you shouldn't do that but I see now many practitioners practising this technique.

    Hi, I’m not happy for you using picture of my lips for click bait? Also the tape isn’t for migration? If you don’t know what the technique really is then please stop misinforming people. Also this technique was actually created by a DOCTOR. It’s called Loran Stripp lips.
    The tape keeps the lip and filler in the ideal position for the first 24 hours when the secondary reaction tissue is synthesised. Thus it helps to lift and stabilise the shape.

      This is what I was going to post because I just looked this up. This tape is used for 24-48 hours and was called the "BUTTERFLY service" on an instagram I saw. Also taping your lips could actuallu help with fine lines wrinkles. I hate he used your photos.

    I love your videos, but having the “ butterfly “ lips was the best thing I had done, I had multiple filler treatments previous, with migration in the end, once I had this, with the dissolving / filler at the same time, all the migration has gone and it’s been over a year, with lips staying flat, I couldn’t go back to a normal technique after it.

    What would you do to define the vermillion border if you don't fill there?

    • @lorenastars1039
      @lorenastars1039 Před rokem

      it will be defined because a lip flip will make the border more prominent. Since the canvas is not stretchable, the tenting technique will create a gentle fold over it.

    Guys never ever get a lip filler..I repeat never ever..just got my lip filler a month back and I have just not only ruin my beautiful small lips..it has also destroyed my whole face anatomy because of crooked lips now..I used to have a very beautiful smile and baby face now I look horrible just cause my lip shape is distorted..and I am more than afraid to get them dissolved as it will surely destroy my natural HA as well..which will leas to more complications...please be happy with the way you are and go natural. I have these sleepless nights and suicidal thoughts from the past 1 month coz all my beauty is destroyed just because of getting a lip filler..noww I have to live with these horrible lips for all my life... Wish I had never done this to myself....I used to be very lively and pretty before..now I am ugly and depressed..
