  • Ki Tetzei (כִּי־תֵצֵא)- Hebrew for "when you go," the first words in the parashah) is the 49th weekly Torah portion and found in Deuteronomy 21:10-25:19.
    This Torah Portion focuses on all the laws that deal with HONORING ALL LIFE. seventy-four of the Torah’s 613 commandments (mitzvot) are in this parashah dealing with honoring others and all life forms. These include the laws of the beautiful captive, the inheritance rights of the firstborn, the wayward and rebellious son, burial and dignity of the dead, returning a lost object, sending away the mother bird before taking her young, the duty to erect a safety fence around the roof of one’s home, and the various forms of kilayim (forbidden plant and animal hybrids).
    Also recounted are the judicial procedures and penalties for adultery, for the rape or seduction of an unmarried girl, and for a husband who falsely accuses his wife of infidelity. The following cannot marry a person of Jewish lineage: a mamzer (someone born from an adulterous or incestuous relationship); a male of Moabite or Ammonite descent; a first- or second-generation Edomite or Egyptian.
    Our Parshah also includes laws governing the purity of the military camp; the prohibition against turning in an escaped slave; the duty to pay a worker on time, and to allow anyone working for you-man or animal-to “eat on the job”; the proper treatment of a debtor, and the prohibition against charging interest on a loan; the laws of divorce (from which are also derived many of the laws of marriage); the penalty of thirty-nine lashes for transgression of a Torah prohibition; and the procedures for yibbum(“levirate marriage”) of the wife of a deceased childless brother, or chalitzah (“removing of the shoe”) in the case that the brother-in-law does not wish to marry her.
    Ki Teitzei concludes with the obligation to remember “what Amalek did to you on the road, on your way out of Egypt.”

    Rabbi Isaac I just tonight in prayer made a promise to Abba to study Torah every day through your teachings and sure enough in this teaching, making a vow to Abba was covered saying, "You must fulfill what has crossed your lips and perform what you have voluntarily vowed to The Lord your God, having made the promise with your own mouth." Coincidence? Absolutely not! I too have gained a new perception of illegal immigrants coming into this country since you mentioned that we were once foreigners in the land of Eqypt. I am so thankful and so appreciate your teachings. May Abba continue to bless you and your testimony/teachings each and every day! Here in the UK in the 1800's the same rules applied to those who dishonoured a family by having intimate relations with a daughter, the said man would have to marry her or the daughter would bring shame on her family and never marry anyone. My mum used to say of such things, you've made your bed, now lie in it. It's important to look at these laws as deterrents, just like the death penalty, it's all to prevent harm being done, hence compassion. God is good, all the time.

    Question:
    I have a small garden each row is 25 ft long x 2 ft wide. When I plant I plant like kind together i.e. row of green zucchini next row yellow zucchini next row green beans but being it's a small garden I look at it and see bees go from row to row wouldn't that cause cross pollination? That said I hear it is good to grow corn and at the base of corn plant beans as corn eats nitrogen and beans produce nitrogen. Corn can't cross with beans can they?

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers

      Cheri L. Thank you for your question in regards to the biblical agricultural laws! We know that in nature many things live in close proximity to one another and the bees are cross-pollinating naturally but the instruction from God was primarily focused on keeping the grain crops separate and not sowing mix seed together which would be a type of symbol of the mixture between Good and Evil that originated in the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil in the garden. Hope this helps! Blessings!

    In Debarim 22:12 does this apply to men and women or only males? If only males starting at what age?
    Also I am a tad bit confused as to where is the verse regarding males covering their heads with a kippah and taller if in Corinthians it says men should not do it. I’m sure there’s a biblical answer for it but I haven’t been able to find it. Thank you in advance

    I have some questions. Should your tzitzit be removed before going to the restroom? Should we have an outhouse or is the restroom at our home for the covering of our excrement? And about the nocturnal emission. Do we need to leave our homes to bath and then return or can we just bath at home and be clean at evening?

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Před 10 měsíci

      Shalom brother... if tzitzit are attached to your clothes they do not need to be removed (just be careful they don't touch the toilet) but pray shawls generally are removed before going in any bathroom (as they are easier to remove). As for the other things you mentioned, all can be cleaned in the home. Bless you and your sincere desire to observe God's word! 😊🙏

      @@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers Another question although this one is not especially Torah related. The ages old question where did Cain get his wife? I know most say that he married a female relative, and I have accepted this for years. This is just a thought that came through and it probably is not correct, but is it possible that YHWH caused Cain to go into a deep sleep like Adam and created a woman from Cain's side as he did for Adam, because he said it is not good for man to be alone. Or maybe he created a woman from a different area with Cain and the area coincides with the mark placed on Cain so he would be recognized? Just a thought.

  • @joannalee5809
    @joannalee5809 Před rokem

    Rabbi Issac, I've a question regarding Deuteronomy 24:5. Can this law be applied today? I was made to understand that in today's context, a married couple should stay together and enjoy this period for 1 year. In my situation, I am married to a husband from a foreign land so I joined him, but at the moment, his country's visa rules are forcing us to be separated for a few months as in I've got to return home and cannot see him. If we follow this mitzvot, I see that it means we have to be together and that he should try to follow me to where I've to go due to the visa issue. However, he sees it that the woman should be the one who follows the husband and "dwell at home" (his home not hers, he said) and that this mitzvot only pertains to wartime. He doubts its applicability for today. For me, I see this commandment applied today in the way that we should stick together because the first year of marriage is foundational to our life together and also a sweet period that cannot be bought back or replaced. Would you please explain how the law can be applied today? I'm worried if we're separated physically for such a long period that spiritually we might miss out on His barakah that accompanies this "little" mitzvot. And not to mention, missing my husband in this period of time if he can't come with me (he is also worried about his work situation if they would allow him to work remotely)! Thank you in advance!

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Před rokem

      Shalom sister Joanna... thank you for your question and sincere heart to apply Yah's Torah truths today! I am sorry for the government's visa laws that would temporarily separate you and your husband and hope that something can be worked out were he can join you and you can keep this mitzvot and maintain the joy of your marriage covenant! Regarding the first year of marriage, the Torah states, “When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, nor shall he be subjected to anything associated with it. He shall remain free for his home for one year and delight his wife, whom he has taken.” Some, as you stated, are of the opinion that this is an injunction specifically concerning going out to war. Others, however, interpret this more broadly to mean that a newlywed man should stay home together with his wife for the first year. In my humble interpretation, it is important to keep in mind the general underpinning of the mitzvah... that “he shall remain free for his home for one year and delight his wife” as a successful marriage rests on prioritizing one’s spouse, and this is especially true of the first year of marriage. At the beginning of the marriage, the bond between husband and wife is still being formed, setting the tone and foundation for the rest of their lives together. The stronger the foundation, the stronger the building, and the easier it is to weather any storms ahead. So, in the case of a newlywed groom, one should make a serious attempt to limit the amount of time you must be apart if any, and curtail all travel that takes you away from home overnight as much as possible. I hope this helps and I pray Heavenly Father works all things out for you both to stay together and continue to build this beautiful bonds of love with joy!

    • @joannalee5809
      @joannalee5809 Před rokem

      @@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers Thank you so much, Ps. Isaac for sharing your valuable interpretation of this mitzvah and taking the time to explain it. It's especially good to see its general underpinning to set the tone and foundation for the rest of our lives together. I've shared the above with my husband and we can both now agree it's better we keep our time apart short. Thank you! He's new to Torah and I could not have been more blessed by his desire to love Yah more through obedience as he's also now watching your videos to learn about the weekly Torah portions and share his learning with our friends. There are great practical challenges on my husband's side in coming to me😅We need a miracle and His mercies. Thank you for your prayers again. I have learned a great deal and enjoyed your teaching this year in covering the Torah. Thank you very much. This year is drawing to an end.
    Wasn’t it the Ottoman Empire that made it against the law to use the Fathers true name? As part of the persecution to loose the identity.
    I am not asserting that you are wrong, I am of the belief time has demonstrated something else .
    When considering the immigrants coming in to the US via Mexico it is also good to remember it is being allowed / promoted with the evil intent to use them as sex slaves. It is proven now in 8/23 . (200,000 + so far) The legal immigration is for their protection . Hundreds of thousands of young military age Chinese men as well. Wickedness also is promoted by the evil one as it is intended as a curse against western culture / lost tribes of Israel. ( IT IS AN INVASION ) not just foreigners, but a Globalist planned invasion that includes the elimination of our western culture with the WARS, Abortions, LGBT promotion, the pandemics and elimination of food.
    All part of the Luciferian / Globalist plan to take down the world and subjugate it. The USA was the city of light on the hill but has been turned into mystery Babylon . With the fake religion and all the rest of the abominations. I do not endorse the evil one in these end times.
