  • This week we meditate upon Torah parashah Va’etchanan (וָאֶתְחַנַּן‎)- Hebrew for “and I pleaded,” the first word in the parashah. Va’etchanan is the 45th weekly Torah parashah and it covers Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11 focusing deeper on the opening passages reflecting the meaning of “Va’etchanan” about Moshe’s pleading with God and understand more the model from Moshe in regards to what we should be praying for and how we should be sincerely pleading for certain things!

    Thank you, this helps understand so much more about Shabbat. It has made me realise I am failing it badly. I will learn from this and change what I do and don’t do from now on. It’s hard when you’re on your own with no one else to discuss how to follow Torah properly. These lessons help me so much. One day Yah willing I will make Him proud of me and my efforts to reflect my love back to Him for His love for a sinner such as I, so thank you very much. May the Lord Bless you!!

    Todah Rav Yitzchak!
    I enjoyed your insight.
    I do have a question but my question may be a little off to the subject that you were asking us to meditate or comment on.
    If Yah rejected Moshe to enter the promised land...
    What does that mean- would Moshe never be allowed to enter the land?
    Yah denying Rav Moshe from entering is it because he added to the word :-when Yah asked him to speak to the rock instead Moshe struck the rock; - was Moshe denied for leaning to his own understanding as violating," do not lean to the right nor left meaning your own understanding...
    Or is it because any soul will be cutt off if they transgress...
    Will Moshe be given another chance to enter the promised land in the days of Moshiach?

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Před 2 lety

      That was only a temporary hold on Moshe entering the promised land as he was not only resurrected later but will be in the promised land with us when Messiah comes and returns all the exiles of Israel back to the land of our inheritance! Hallelu Yah! It had to be that his life was a type of messiah Ben Joseph in his 1st coming who would not lead the children of Israel into the promised land but then use Yahoshua to be a type pointing to Mashiach ben David in His 2nd coming.

    • @andreaswepson3064
      @andreaswepson3064 Před 2 lety

      I see your point partially - wherein if Moshe had led than they would have thought he was the Moshiach.
      On the other hand I would have to study to agree that Moshe was resurrected later.
      I know he appeared at the mount of transfiguration but i thought he was used as a testimony to endorse Yeshua- as the Mashiach. Moshe as the testimony from the dead and Eliyahu a testimony from the living.
      Thank you again and shalom.

  • @melissa7777
    @melissa7777 Před rokem

    I think its more about praying for "Gods will" over "our will," Moses kept praying for his own will which wasn't in agreement with God's, because it was too much for him to do. God had others he had chosen for those roles, God knows our limits and he knows the end from the beginning. It wasn't their role in that time period.
    Moses was praying incorrectly, he was praying for His & Israel's will over God's greater salvation plan, and Ive found sin is usually behind this. Lack of trust in God, having the wrong type of fear, fear of death, fear of safety or failure. We need more faith to trust God to be able to give up our will for his will, because his Will for us is much better then ours. God is Good all the time, but we have fallen short of the glory of God.

    Suppose one has no father, nor a mother? An orphan! Might his father and mother be יהוה? If this is true, maybe the fifth commandment is referring to the very one, whose image we are made in.
    “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” (Genesis 5:1-2, KJV)

    I love the pleading because Moses pleading is no different than Abraham's pleading before Sodom and Gomorrah or Hannah's pleading on the altar for a child or Hezekiah please for his life we see the pleading the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years who pleaded we see Mary and Martha for their brother who had already died who pleaded we see the Centurion Soldier who pleaded for his servant we see the father pleading for his son possessed by demons father loves his children when they plead for he is a just judge
